"My mom Alma's joy for life, love and people - combined with a pride in her humble beginnings and refusal to forget where she came from - undoubtedly shaped me into the man that I am."</p><p>Donnie applauded his mother for raising him and his eight siblings, calling her "epitome of the word grace."</p><p>"That was Alma - mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, friend, ally, warrior, angel. She made no apologies for who she was, but never put herself above anyone else," Donnie wrote. "She kicked our butts if we messed up, kicked anyone else's butts if they messed with us. Taught us right, made us pay the price when we were wrong."</p><p>Mark, 49, shared a photo of Alma on Instagram with the caption, "My angel. Rest in peace."</p><p>Alma <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/mark-wahlberg-biography-2014-6#the-youngest-of-nine-children-wahlberg-was-born-on-june-5-1971-in-dorchester-massachusetts--a-blue-collar-neighborhood-in-boston-1" target="_blank" rel="noopener">is the mother to nine children</a>: Arthur, Paul, Jim, Robert, Donnie, Mark, Michelle, Debbie, and Tracey. She was married to their father, Donald Wahlberg, for 17 years <a href="https://www.distractify.com/p/what-happened-to-alma-wahlberg" target="_blank" rel="noopener">before they divorced in 1982.</a> Donald Wahlberg died in 2008. </p><p>In July 2020, Donnie updated fans on Instagram about Alma's health condition. He shared a photo of him and Alma locked in a sweet embrace. </p><p>"During my visit, she didn't remember much, and was often confused, but somehow she was still Alma," wrote Donnie. "She still lights up a room. She still made me smile. She's still stubborn. And she still loves her baby Donnie." </p>

So, when a celebrity leaves a $2,000 tip, it's a big deal. <p>Early Thursday morning, Donnie Wahlberg, a founding member of New Kids on the Block and a current star of "Blue Bloods," posted a photo on Facebook that showed a Waffle House receipt with a $2,000 tip. </p><p>"My mom waited tables, and my dad tended bars - for years," Wahlberg wrote in the Facebook post. "So, when I walk into a Waffle House, and the staff treats me like a king, you better believe I treat them like queens!" </p><p>The photo of the receipt showed that he had ordered $82.60 of food. </p><p>According to one commenter, Donnie also gave the Waffle House workers backstage passes and front-row tickets for the upcoming New Kids on the Block concert in Charlotte, North Carolina.</p><p>The post quickly went viral, with more than 52,000 reactions as of Thursday at 9:30 a.m. Wahlberg's fans have flooded the comments, sharing their own experiences with the boy band star. </p><p>"He was raised right! Back in the early days of NKOTB, I wrote a letter to Donnie. A few weeks later, I received a hand written reply... from Alma," Wahlberg's mother, one commenter wrote. "I knew back then that a mom who cares that much about her son to answer his fan mail by hand, was one amazing mom and was raising good men. This post warms my heart and proves what I suspected back in 1989." </p><p>Wahlberg has some experience of his own in the restaurant industry. <p>But a <a href="http://www.gossipcop.com/sherri-shepherd-leaving-the-view-statement-quit-quits/" target="_blank">many are claiming that</a> the real reason behind Shepherd's departure was<span> that </span>ABC<span> and the TV star could not reach a new contract deal after protracted negotiations. Shepherd is also in the midst of a <a href="http://www.people.com/article/sherri-shepherd-divorce-lamar-sally-split-breakup-separation-divorce-custody-battle" target="_blank">very messy divorce</a>.</span></p>

<p>Airing Wednesdays starting July 16, the show will feature guests such as Chelsea Handler, Perez Hilton, McCarthy's fiancé Donnie Wahlberg, along with "many others" yet to be named.</p>
<p>"It's no secret that I love to talk. I'm excited to do it on SiriusXM without having to interrupt anyone or keep things clean. You can bet your sweet ass this show will live up to its title," McCarthy <a href="http://www.cnbc.com/id/101833876" target="_blank">said in a statement</a> Monday.</p>

<p>The film, which opens Friday, has a huge ensemble cast of stars from George Clooney to Bill Murray, so while a lot of the questions had to do with Damon, there was also a bunch dealing with his co-stars, his friends in Hollywood, and their antics.</p>
<p>While some celebrities answer questions with brief responses, Damon spoke very candidly to fans about roles.</p>

He kicked it up to the lit department, and then we had lit agents. So we got lucky, but it's just looking for creative ways to break in. If you just sit on your hands it's never gonna happen, its just too competitive. Jobs are available, you have to go make your own."</p>
