<keyword id="6354287" type="CITY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Bharti-Airtel">Bharti Airtel</keyword> has rolled out 4G trials in Delhi NCR and offered free upgrade from 3G to 4G. 
 
The company has expanded its 4G facility to Karnal and Yamunanagar in Haryana. The company wants customers to be a part of the trial and offer feedback. 
 
Sarang Kanade, CEO, Delhi NCR and Rajasthan, Bharti Airtel said, "Customers in the region will be uniquely positioned to experience India's first integrated FD and TD 4G network, implying faster 4G speeds and wider network coverage." 
 
"As customers in India show an increasing propensity for consuming data services, we at Airtel are excited to take the lead in introducing the market to power of blazing 4G speeds," he adds. 
 
The company is looking to expand its 4G base in light of Reliance Jio's 4G launch timed for December. 4G trials have been launched for existing Airtel customers in Hyderabad, Vizag, Chennai, Coimbatore and Mumbai. 
 
Existing Airtel users can activate 4G with a quick SMS registration while non-Airtel customers buying 4G enabled mobile devices can follow a process to join the 4G network. 
 
Airtel launched the country’s first 4G services in Kolkata in April 2012. The service is now available across India including Bengaluru, Pune, Nasik, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Mangaluru, Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Amritsar, Hoshiarpur, Phagwara, Kapurthala, Moga, Bathinda Patiala and recently launched Ambala (City and Cantt.).

 Strong tremors of an earthquake were felt across Delhi NCR at 04:35 pm. Offices across the cities saw employees rushing out and gathering on the road. The epicentre of the earthquake is not known yet but tremors have been felt in Northern Pakistan, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu region.

A staggering 57% of respondents said they have faced health issues because of pollution but haven’t seen a doctor yet, while 30% of respondents said they or a family member had seen a doctor or visited a hospital in the last three weeks because of air pollution. Only 13% said they had seen no impact of pollution on their family , said India Times the <a href="https://www.indiatimes.com/news/india/almost-35-of-people-in-delhi-ncr-want-to-permanently-leave-the-city-due-to-toxic-air-pollution-356650.html" data-type="tilCustomLink">report</a>. Several medical experts have warned residents in the region about the health risks of worsening air quality in the region, particularly the harmful effects of PM2.5 and PM10 particles that can cause damage in the lungs when inhaled. Over 100,000 children below the age of five have succumbed to health issues said <a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/toxic-air-killed-highest-number-of-children-in-india-in-2016-who-report/articleshow/66446692.cms">a WHO report. </a> Stop-gap measures More than half of the respondents seemed unprepared to cope with the pollution with air purifiers and masks with 56% of those polled saying they had neither. Air purifiers can range from ₹ 8,000 to ₹40,000. Unsurprisingly, only 8% of respondents said they had an air purifier. And only around 15% said they had face masks. And another 21% said they had both an air purifier and a mask. The survey polled over 12,000 citizens living in Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Faridabad and Ghaziabad. Delhi’s air quality improved from ‘severe’ to ‘<a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/indias-national-capital-records-very-poor-air-quality-ahead-of-festival-season/articleshow/66380366.cms">very poor</a> ’ category on Wednesday. The second largest telecom operator in India is all set to introduce the high-speed mobile service from December 2015.

As per the company’s official statement, Vodafone has invested over Rs 350 crore to modernize, upgrade the existing voice and data network and had also installed more than 550 sites since the last 6 months. 
 
While announcing the successful testing of its <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=4G+services">4G services</a>, the Mumbai-headquartered telco said that it has shortlisted key corridors of Delhi-NCR for the 4G roll out that will take place in a phased manner. 
 
The Delhi-NCR region accounts for around 30% of the data revenues and is one of the top data markets for Vodafone in India. 
 
Besides this, Vodafone is investing heavily into high capacity Fibre/backhaul to significantly increase the Internet connectivity to the rest of the world, which will benefit all its data subscribers.

Airtel’s biggest rival to launch 4G service in Delhi-NCR by Dec 2015

<keyword id="6358070" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Mumbai">Mumbai</keyword> has maintained its top position in the <keyword id="35666" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="advertising">advertising</keyword> business for decades now; however, this may not be the case in the near future. 
 
The top position could soon go to <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/you-can-buy-a-home-in-delhi-ncr-withinyour-budget-heres-how/articleshow/57704483.cms">Delhi-NCR</a>, and it shows how rapidly the region is rising in ads business, and how stagnant <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/indias-first-pod-hotel-has-come-up-in-mumbai-this-is-how-it-looks-from-the-inside/articleshow/57988436.cms">Mumbai </a>has become. 
 
Talking about Mumbai’s glorious past, it generated Rs 3,634 crore in advertising revenues across print, television and radio even a decade ago. These media made up about three-fourths of India’s total advertising expenditure; the rest being outdoor, digital and cinema. 
 
In comparison, Delhi-NCR’s ad spend was Rs 2,780 crore that year only about 75% of Mumbai.

If this trend continues, Delhi-NCR could grab the top spot this year itself. However, in case Mumbai recovers from last year’s decline, the displacement will take longer. 
This shift shows how the nation’s political capital is treading towards becoming its business capital as well.

Mumbai could no longer be India’s ad capital

New Delhi, Mar 29 () ZappFresh, which sells fresh meat, poultry and seafood through its e-commerce platform, has resumed operations in Delhi-NCR after a temporary shutdown last week due to operational hurdles in the wake of the lockdown. The company delivers 2,000 orders per day, totalling 3-4 tonne, in Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Ghaziabad, Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula and Jaipur. ZappFresh has resumed operations in Delhi-NCR, following a temporary shutdown owing to the 21-day nationwide lockdown, the company said in a statement. The company said its operations were severely hit in the 8 cities where it operates. "While the company has resumed operations in Delhi, Gurugram, Noida and Ghaziabad, it is yet to find respite from local authorities in other markets," the statement said. MJH ANUANU

While there are nearly 5.68 lakh houses under various stages of construction in Delhi-NCR, any kind of periodic ban on construction by different agencies can only delay the projects, adding to the woes of the buyers. The maximum number of under-construction units is in <keyword id="18858" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="noida" source="Orion">Noida</keyword> and Greater Noida areas, accounting for nearly 2.70 lakh units, as per an estimate. On average, a one-month ban on all construction activity delays a project by at least 3-4 months, according to research by <keyword id="4695749" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="anarock" source="Orion">Anarock</keyword> consultants. As per the research, the areas in Delhi-NCR with the maximum under construction units presently include Greater Noida West, Yamuna Expressway, New Gurugram, Noida Expressway, Dwarka Expressway, Central Noida, Sector 150 (Noida), <keyword id="1464478" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="greater-faridabad" source="Orion">Greater Faridabad</keyword>, <keyword id="15299315" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="raj-nagar-ext" source="Orion">Raj Nagar Ext</keyword> (Ghaziabad), Sohna and Golf Course Ext Road. These areas together have more than 4 lakh units that are currently under various stages of construction. Greater Noida West alone has more than 1.37 lakh under-construction units currently. The air quality in Delhi-<keyword id="53426" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="ncr" source="Orion">NCR</keyword> has turned poor and heavy smog has started engulfing the region. This year too, to battle pollution, an action plan has been rolled out in advance, mandating that if the pollution levels breach certain levels (i.e., Stage III or 'severe'), authorities will have to enforce a ban on construction and demolition activities in NCR, except on essential projects (like railways, metros, airports, ISBTs, national security/defence-related projects of national importance). Apart from this, the construction of projects also gets hampered due to protests on the issue of land compensation. The Anarock research said that being periodic, the impact of these construction bans on overall property prices is almost negligible. Moreover, real estate prices in most cities are not so much a function of environmental concerns as of accessibility, proximity to the city centres or major employment hubs, urban mobility via various modes of public transport, and affordability. In Mumbai too, the city perennially experiences floods during monsoon, yet property prices remain steady. In fact, in the last two-and-a-half years since the pandemic, the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) has been the most active in terms of both new supply and new launches. As for Delhi-NCR, the region too has been very active. While developers restricted new supply, housing sales have been significant. In fact, the region has shed at least 23 per cent of its unsold stock in the last 2.5 years since the pandemic. Back in Q1 2020-end, the overall unsold stock in Delhi-NCR stood at 1.73 lakh units which have reduced to a little over 1.32 lakh units as of Q3 2022-end, said the Anarock research. Delhi-NCR: 5.68L houses under construction; periodic bans add to buyers' woes

New Delhi, Dec 29 () Net leasing of office space jumped over two-fold to record 10.82 million sq ft this year in the national capital region, driven by new supply and rising demand for quality workspace from corporates, according to property consultant JLL India.
Delhi-NCR had recorded a net office space leasing of 5.31 million sq ft during 2018.
New supply of office space also surged more than two times this year in the Delhi-NCR to 13.39 million sq ft against 5.43 million sq ft in 2018.
Delhi-NCR's share in total net office space leasing and new supply across seven major cities stood at 23 per cent and 26 per cent, respectively.
Office rentals remained stable in the Delhi-NCR at nearly Rs 78 per sq ft per month.
"Delhi, which contributes to 20 per cent of office stocks, witnessed a two-fold increase in net absorption with some prominent large office projects added to the stock.
"The net absorption, which touched 10.82 million sq ft, was at an all-time high. The momentum was driven by IT/ITeS, healthcare, research and consulting, manufacturing and flex spaces," JLL India said in a report.
Co-working operators continued to expand their operations in the Delhi-NCR.
The consultant said that supply of office space increased 2.5 times on the back of some large projects getting completed such as DLF Cyber Park.
"Gurugram garnered a 67 per cent share of the completion, while Noida accounted for 33 per cent of the new supply," JLL said.
Across seven major cities, the net office space leasing rose by 40 per cent this year to an all-time high of 46.5 million square feet as against 33.2 million sq ft in 2018. New supply rose 45 per cent to 51.6 million sq ft from 35.7 million sq ft.
