New Delhi [India], May 23 (ANI): Once notorious for oversupply and all-round market disarray, Delhi-NCR's real estate sector is witnessing a reversal of winds as the unsold inventory in the region has declined by a massive 57 per cent in the last five years, the latest report by real estate consultant Anarock Group observed. The report added the unsold real stock in the national capital region declined from approx. 2 lakh units at Q1 2018-end to approx. 86,420 units by Q1 2024-end. In the same period, the main southern cities saw their unsold stock decline from approx. 1.96 lakh units in Q1 2018 to over 1.76 lakh units in Q1 2024. Gurgaon holds the highest stock with approximately 33,326 units, marking a 37 per cent decrease. Greater Noida follows with about 18,668 units, having reduced its stock by 70 per cent. Ghaziabad's inventory declined dramatically by 70 per cent to around 11,011 units. Noida saw a 71 per cent decrease, with approximately 7,451 unsold units remaining. Combined, Delhi, Faridabad, and Bhiwadi have about 15,964 unsold units, a 31 per cent reduction since 2018, as per the report. It further observes the top Southern markets Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai saw their collective unsold stock shrink by 11 per cent in this period. MMR and Pune in the West saw their cumulative unsold stock reduced by 8 per cent. In the East, Kolkata saw its unsold inventory decline by an impressive 41 per cent in the period. Citing the reason behind the low decline of unsold inventory, the real estate consultant added that there have been massive new property launches in Hyderabad, most notably over the last two years. The city saw its housing stock almost quadrupled in the last 5 years. Bengaluru saw unsold inventory decline by 50 per cent in this period. In the West, MMR and Pune saw unsold stock decline by 8 per cent in the last five years - from approx. 3.13 lakh units in Q1 2018 to approx. 2.90 lakh units in Q1 2024, the report added.

New Delhi, Realty major <keyword id="6362997" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="dlf" source="Orion">DLF</keyword> on Monday said it has sold 1,113 luxury apartments in Gurugram for Rs 7,200 crore within three days of pre-launch amid strong demand for residential properties. In a regulatory filing, DLF announced "pre-formal launch sales of approximately Rs 7,200 crore for its latest luxury residential development, <keyword id="20105111" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="dlf-privana-south" source="keywords">DLF Privana South</keyword> in Gurugram." In March last year, DLF had sold 1,137 luxury apartments, priced Rs 7 crore and above, in its housing project in Gurugram for over Rs 8,000 crore within 3 days. Now, DLF has launched new project 'DLF Privana South' which is spread over 25 acre in Sectors 76 and 77, Gurugram. "This luxury residential offering by DLF was sold out within 72 hours, in its pre-launch phase," DLF said. The project will comprise 1,113 luxury residences across 7 towers, presenting 4 BHK apartments and penthouses. DLF Privana South will be part of a larger development, "DLF Privana" spread over 116 acre. Aakash Ohri, Joint Managing Director and Chief Business Officer, DLF Home Developers Ltd, said, "The swift pre-launch sellout serves as a testament to the increasing demand for high-rise luxury developments by DLF, delivering the highly aspirational DLF lifestyle." To discourage bulk bookings, each buyer was allotted only one unit, with about 25 per cent of the sales coming from Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), and a booking amount of Rs 50 lakh. DLF has developed more than 158 real estate projects and developed an area in excess of 340 million square feet. DLF Group has 215 million square feet of development potential across residential and commercial segment. The group has an annuity portfolio of over 42 million square feet. DLF is primarily engaged in the business of development and sale of residential properties (Development Business) and the development and leasing of commercial and retail properties (Annuity Business).

New Delhi, Realty firm <keyword id="3606282" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Signature-Global" source="Orion">Signature Global</keyword> on Thursday reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 7.18 crore for the first quarter of this fiscal year on higher expenses. Gurugram-based Signature Global had logged a net profit of Rs 32.78 crore in the year-ago period, according to a regulatory filing. Total income also declined to Rs 178.9 crore in April-June 2023-24 from Rs 559.01 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year. This is the first quarterly result announced by the company after getting listed on stock exchanges recently. Last month, Signature Global successfully launched its Initial Public Offer (IPO). The total size of the IPO was Rs 730 crore, with a fresh issue of shares worth Rs 603 crore and an offer-for-sale (OFS) of Rs 127 crore. The public issue was subscribed 11.88 times.

Bharti <keyword id="15491" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Airtel">Airtel</keyword> and Ericsson on Monday demonstrated a throughput of over 1 GBPS on the telecom operator's live <keyword id="11446337" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="5G-trial-network">5G trial network</keyword> in <keyword id="6361586" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Gurgaon">Gurgaon</keyword>'s Cyber Hub. When contacted, Ericsson confirmed the development. "Bharti Airtel...and Ericsson...today demonstrated a throughput of over 1 GBPS on Bharti's live 5G trial network in Gurgaon's Cyber Hub," Ericsson confirmed. Sources said Airtel has lit up its 5G trial network in Cyber Hub, Gurgaon, and that the site is operating in the 3500 MHz band as per Telecom Department norms, and delivering throughput of over 1 Gbps. To put a perspective, 1GBPS would download a full 4k movie in less than a minute. Airtel has been allotted 5G trial spectrum in 3500 MHz, 28 GHz and 700 MHz in <keyword id="66" type="LOCATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Delhi">Delhi</keyword> NCR, Mumbai, <keyword id="6354925" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="kolkata">Kolkata</keyword> and Bengaluru. It may be recalled that Department of Telecom (<keyword id="16054" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="DoT">DoT</keyword>) had last month allocated spectrum to operators to start 5G trials, in the country. The trials will be conducted at various locations, including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Gujarat, Hyderabad, among others, say industry sources. Telecom operators have been allocated spectrum in 700 Mhz bands, 3.3-3.6 gigahertz (Ghz) band and 24.25-28.5 Ghz band across various locations. The trial spectrum allocation came after the Department of Telecom (DoT), on May 4, approved applications from <keyword id="6354504" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="reliance-jio">Reliance Jio</keyword>, Bharti Airtel, Vodafone Idea and MTNL for conducting 5G trials without using technologies from Chinese companies. The DoT had approved trials of 5G with Ericsson, Nokia, <keyword id="10591" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Samsung">Samsung</keyword> and C-DOT. In addition, Reliance Jio Infocomm will be conducting trials using its own indigenous technology. Airtel and Ericsson demo over 1 GBPS throughput on live 5G trial network in Gurgaon's Cyber Hub

<keyword id="6358777" type="LOCATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="New-Delhi">New Delhi</keyword>, As India's <keyword id="390059" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="smartphone-market">smartphone market</keyword> registered a massive year-over-year (YoY) growth of 42% in October shipping 21 million units, 25% of the market sat in top tier cities -- New Delhi, <keyword id="6358070" type="LOCATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="mumbai">Mumbai</keyword>, Bengaluru, <keyword id="12864" type="LOCATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Chennai">Chennai</keyword>, and <keyword id="6354925" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="kolkata">Kolkata</keyword> -- registering more than 50% YoY growth in October. According to the IDC, the next set of emerging markets, namely Jaipur, <keyword id="6361586" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Gurgaon">Gurgaon</keyword>, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Bhopal and Coimbatore, also grew by nearly 50% YoY. "Despite delayed deliveries due to restrictions in several zones, consumers went for online purchases, especially on third party e-Tailer platforms, registering 23% YoY growth with 50% share," the report showed. Bigger cities leaned heavily towards online channels, with 57% online share in the top 5 metros. "But supply constraints remained, impacting offline channel sales as a result of fewer retail walk-ins". While Xiaomi led in 34 of the major 50 cities within the online channel, Vivo led in 44 of the major 50 cities within the offline channel. Half a million 5G devices were sold, with almost 80% from the top 10 cities of India. "Though 5G is a driver from a technological advancement standpoint, uncertainties on spectrum availability, clear use cases and high prices might restrict its uptake to few bigger cities initially," said Sachin Mehta, Market Analyst, Client Devices, IDC India. Around mid-March, the Gurgaon district administration has issued an advisory asking companies to allow their employees to work from home. “As of now, it appears this advisory for work from home will continue till the end of July. All those who have offices in Gurgaon should continue to work from home to the extent possible,” said Gurgaon Metropolitan Development Authority CEO V S Kundu. He is in charge of handling the COVID-19 crisis in the district. Most companies have already declared that working from home may be the ‘new normal’ for them. They have also highlighted how there’s been an increase in employee productivity since the commute time has drastically been cut down. Most people, it would take at least one-and-a-half to two hours in either direction to travel between office and home. However, he pointed out that many real estate projects, including those which fall under DLF, will be allowed to resume work provided they follow all social distancing norms. “Construction sites where labourers are already staying on the site or those where labourers stay within walking distance are allowed to resume work while adhering to social distancing norms,” said Kundu. So far, there have been 51 reported cases of the Coronavirus in Gurgaon. Of these, 35 have recovered. Nonetheless, it has been declared a red zone by the Harayan government since it’s one of the worst affected districts in the state alongside Nuh, Palwal and Faridabad. Kundu described the situation in Gurgaon as “fairly under control” and said there is no evidence of community transmission. Gurgaon has effectively been under lockdown since March 22 – two days before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s announcement of a pan-India shutdown to stem the spread of the disease. This gave the administration a head start and enabled it to handle the situation effectively, the official said.
