<keyword id="128682" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Netflix">Netflix</keyword>'s India Original series "<keyword id="100644" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Delhi-crime">Delhi Crime</keyword>", helmed by Indian-Canadian director Richie Mehta, has bagged the best drama series honour at the 48th International Emmy Awards. Told from the perspective of the <keyword id="917505" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Delhi-police-team">Delhi Police team</keyword> investigating the crime that made global headlines, the series deconstructs the case of the 23-year-old physiotherapy intern who was abducted and gangraped in a moving bus on the night of December 16, 2012 before she was abandoned on a Delhi road. Her injuries were so grievous that she died in a Singapore hospital a fortnight later. Mehta, in his acceptance speech during the virtual ceremony on Monday, dedicated the honour to all the women who not just endure violence that men inflict on them, "but are also tasked to solve the problem." Actor Shefali Shah played Vartika Chaturvedi, whose character on "Delhi Crime" was based on former <keyword id="10323304" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="delhi-police-dcp-chaya-sharma">Delhi Police DCP Chaya Sharma</keyword> who cracked the case of the brutal gangrape within 72 hours. The show, released in 2019, received massive acclaim for its sensitive retelling of a horrific crime that shook the entire nation. Performances by its ensemble cast, including Shah, Rasika Dugal, Adil Hussain and Rajesh Tailang were particularly appreciated. Hussain took to Twitter and congratulated the entire team for the win. "Delhi Crime wins the Emmy International Awards for Best Drama. Congratulations @RichieMehta unmatchable @ShefaliShah dearest @rajeshtailang and whole team Big Big Congratulations," he tweeted. Two other Emmy nominations from India included Amazon Prime Video's "Four More Shots" and Arjun Mathur for his role in drama "Made in Heaven" in the best comedy and actor categories respectively. Both couldn't register wins. While "Four More Shots", created by Rangita Pritish Nandy, lost to Brazil's "Ninguem ta Olhando" (Nobody's Looking), Mathur lost to 13-year-old Billy Barratt for his role in UK's "Responsible Child". "Responsible Child" also bagged the best TV Movie / Mini-Series award. Directed by Nick Holt, the movie follows the story of a 12-year-old boy and his experience of the UK legal system that puts him on trial for murder. Glenda Jackson, 84, bagged the best actress award for her role in "Elizabeth is Missing". "For Sama" won the best documentary award. The film is narrated and directed by Waad Al-Kateab along with Edward Watts. "For Sama" focuses on Al-Kateab's journey as a journalist and rebel in the Syrian uprising. The Non-English Language US Primetime Program category saw a tie, with "20th Annual Latin Grammy Awards" and "La Reina del Sur" season two bagging the honour. The Short Form Series award was bagged by "#martyisdead" from Czech Republic while "Old People's Home for 4 Year Olds" from Australia took home the award in Non-Scripted Entertainment category. Brazil's "Orphans of a Nation" won the top honour in Telenovela category. Last year, Nawazuddin Siddiqui-starrer "McMafia" won the best drama series award at the International Emmy Awards. Actor Richard Kind hosted the ceremony from New York. Netflix's 'Delhi Crime' wins International Emmy Award 2020 for best drama series

The attack comes three months after the fatal gang-rape of a woman aboard a New Delhi bus outraged Indians.
Authorities detained and questioned 13 men in connection with the latest attack, which occurred Friday night as the couple camped out in a forest in Madhya Pradesh state after bicycling from the temple town of Orchha, local police officer R.K. Gurjar said.
The men beat the couple and gang-raped the woman, he said. They also stole the couple's mobile phone, a laptop computer and 10,000 rupees ($185).
The woman was treated at a hospital in the nearby city of Gwalior, Gurjar said, adding that she and her husband apparently suffered no major injuries.
A photo showed the woman — her identity concealed with a hood — walking while being escorted by police to the hospital.
Police detained 13 men and questioned them, Gurjar said. Six of the men were released after questioning. No other details were immediately available.
Indian television stations showed scores of police searching the forest where the attack occurred.
Swiss Foreign Ministry spokesman Tilman Renz described the case as "deeply disturbing" and said Swiss diplomats were assisting the couple.
The diplomats called on Indian authorities "to do everything to quickly find the perpetrators so that they can be held accountable," Renz said in a statement.
Last month, the Swiss government issued a travel notice for India that included a warning about "increasing numbers of rapes and other sexual offenses" in the South Asian nation.
India has seen outrage and widespread protests against attacks on women since December's fatal gang-rape of a young woman on a moving bus in New Delhi, the capital. The <keyword id="39494" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="60" keywordseo="Crime">crime</keyword> horrified Indians and set off nationwide protests about India's treatment of women and spurred the government to hurry through a new package of laws to protect them.
One of six suspects in the December attack was found dead in a New Delhi jail this past week. Authorities said he hanged himself, but his family and lawyer insisted foul play was involved. A magistrate is investigating. Four other men and a juvenile remain on trial for the attack.

Grace and Frankie: The synopsis for Grace and Frankie reads like this- ‘What happens when two elder women’s husbands declare their love for one another, and the women are forced to make a life together?’ Yes, you’re right. Hilarity ensues. And, what more? It stars Jane Fonda, Martin Sheen and Sam Waterson. This is going to be one joyride tackling the themes of age and sexuality with aplomb. Don’t miss!
