The University of Delhi(DU) is hiring nearly 900 teachers as professors, associate professors and assistant professors. Interested candidates can apply on the university’s official website <a href="http://du.ac.in/adm2019/">du.ac.in.</a> The last date for online applications is 8 August 2019. Of this, 166 vacancies are for professors, 428 for Associate Professors and 275 for Assistant professors in Arts, Commerce, Humanities, Law, Social Sciences, Sciences, languages and Library Sciences. Eligibility for applying: For the openings for Professor and Associate Professor posts, the candidate must have a PhD degree in the applied domain along with minimum of 7-10 research papers published in the University Grants Commission(UGC) listed journals. The candidates should also have a minimum work experience of 8-10 years at the university level. The highest offered bagged by these freshers stood at over ₹30 lakh. </li><li>Among the top recruiters were Gartner, EY, PwC, Deloitte, KPMG, Samsung and Accenture. For the 2019-20 placement season, the average salary package at LSR and SRCC went up from ₹7.5 lakh to ₹10 lakh per annum. The highest offered bagged by these freshers stood at over ₹30 Lakh. As many as 130 students received job offers at SRCC. “We haven't seen an overall impact of the slowdown in placements. The number of companies coming has more or less remained the same since last year, however the number of students that were made an offer to have increased,” Kanika K Ahuja, placement in-charge at LSR told ET. The students who get admission to these Delhi University-affiliated colleges have to score over 95% in the 12th grade — due to high cut-offs. Among the top recruiters were Gartner, EY, PwC, Deloitte, KPMG, Samsung and Accenture. On the other hand, <keyword id="311892" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Shaheed-Sukhdev-College-of-Business-Studies">Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies</keyword> (SCBS), which is ranked as the second best undergraduate b-school in India, bagged 106 offers at an average compensation of over ₹7 lakh. The highest offer stood at ₹18 lakh per annum. The average compensation at other DU colleges fluctuated between ₹6 lakh to ₹10 lakh per annum. While the overall average salaries in India went up by 45% for undergraduate students. This is despite the economic downturn in the country. The growing trend of summer placements The growing trend of summer placements and pre-placement offers too might have had an effect on the increased interest of recruiters. Companies like Deutsche Bank, Citi Bank are also banking on summer placements to assess talent, thereby extending pre-placement offers. At SCBS, Goldman Sachs visited the campus to hire interns for their investment banking division. Students also received PPOs from companies like KPMG, RocSearch and Grofers. Delhi University students bag job offers that pay as much as ₹31 lakh per annum

According to SRCC, there was a 32% increase in the average package and a 25% increase in its median package in the year 2019-20, in comparison to last year. Placements during a pandemic SRCC is one of the top commerce institutions in India. For students to get admission into the college, they have to score over 95% in 12th grade just to get in. And, the cut-offs are only increasing every year. The first phase of the placement drive at SRCC began in December with as many as 130 students receiving job offers. The highest package offered in the first phase was ₹31 lakh a year. The second drive was scheduled in January. However, once the coronavirus pandemic kicked in, it slowed down the process. Moreover, offers of 13 students who were placed in the first phase of the placement drive were either revoked or delayed. Despite the slowdown, it held the second phase of the placement drive and managed to get over 225 job offers from 120 recruiters for its undergraduate students. Around 554 students from the batch 2020, were registered with SRCC’s Placement Cell for jobs and internships. “It was quite challenging to be able to digitalise the entire process quickly and seamlessly, given that COVID had taken a drastic toll on the recruitment sector,” Vikram Nanda, Chief Secretary of the placement cell at SRCC, said in a statement. SRCC has further managed to get new offers for some of the students whose offers were revoked in the first drive. “As a team, we were happy with the fact that our statistics were still on a gradual rise and didn’t record any fall amidst the hiring freeze,” said Nanda. SRCC is now developing a virtual recruitment portal for the upcoming placement drive for the year 2020-21. They say they are very optimistic about the upcoming season and expect increased participation in online hiring as well. It is expecting McKinsey and Kearney, and FTI Consulting to make an offer to their undergraduate students in the upcoming season. Currently, 516 students from the batch of 2021 are registered with the placement cell. She needs the job."<h2>You'll meet others as well, but mostly you will get to know me.</h2>After growing up with middle-class values, saving my pennies, and being wary of the rich, I was embarrassed to join their ranks. My identity and place in the world were at stake. It took many years to get comfortable. Over the last decades, I've had a friend ask for $25,000, and another tell me she almost didn't invite our family to join hers to see a Cirque du Soleil show, concerned we'd only want seats they couldn't afford. I've worried about our children lacking motivation, discovered philanthropy isn't as straightforward as just writing a check, and grappled with the meaning of "enough" — not life or death issues, but real when living with them day to day.<h2>Now in my fifties, I am profoundly grateful for the abundance in my life.</h2>Money has afforded me incredible freedom and allowed for extravagance and generosity. Nor is my story a prescriptive account of how to do "rich" right. I don't have all the answers. I began writing because wealth surprised me. I wanted to reveal money for what it is and what it's not. I continued writing because everyone's voice adds to our country's conversation and hearing other people's stories helps us understand our own. In the end, I hope this book becomes a catalyst for conversation. Talking about money and how it makes us feel could help demystify wealth. We have a lot to learn from one another.
