The Delhi Development Authority (<keyword id="51127" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="DDA">DDA</keyword>) has taken out the application forms for its 2014 housing scheme from its website. DDA's website had crashed due to an enormous increase in traffic following the announcement of the scheme. The online forms can now be obtained from the sites of the authorised banks. 
 
"Application brochure/form can be collected from the branches of the following banks. Also brochure/form can be downloaded from the websites of these banks. Applicants can also apply online through the websites of these banks," DDA said. 
 
As per the DDA, the website received 11 lakh visits on the day of the launch. 
 "Since, our server cannot handle the extremely heavy online traffic, we are redirecting the services to banks. Our homepage has a new link 'DDA <keyword id="2498180" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Housing-Scheme-2014">Housing Scheme 2014</keyword>' lower down the website, which directs the online users to our 13 empanelled banks and URLs," said VS Tomar, director of systems at DDA.

Application Forms Removed From DDA Website

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has launched a new housing scheme, offering about 25,000 flats. Most of the flats are single-bedroom units, and will be located in Rohini, Dwarka and Narela. 
 
Registrations for the flats will start from September 1 and will continue till October 9. The draw will be held within 20 days of the end of the registration process. The DDA has appointed an independent agency to ensure transparency in the process. 
 
There is no provision for any reservation for the residents of Delhi in the allotment process. All Indian citizens above the age of 18 are eligible to apply for the flats. The applicants will be required provide PAN Card and Aadhar Card details along with the application form. The applicant shouldn’t have any property registered in his or her name in Delhi. 
 
Out of the total of 25,034 flats, 22,627 will be two-room sets with single bedroom and a drawing room. The price is likely to remain between Rs 14 and 22 lakhs. The housing scheme will also include 700 flats for the economically weaker sections. 
 
The DDA will also allot 811 old flats in different categories after completely renovating them. The old flats would be priced at a depreciation rate of 1.25% per annum. 
 
The DDA has also set aside a sum of Rs 362 crore for the maintenance of these flats after allotment.

25,000 DDA Flats Up for Grabs!

The Delhi Development Authority’s (DDA) housing scheme has failed to generate a good response. The DDA received only 7.5 lakh applications even though it had sold a total of 17 lakh forms. 
 
The earlier deadline of October 9 was extended till October 15 due to lukewarm response. Almost 5.5 lakh applications were received in the next six days. 
 
According to DDA officials, strict norms had kept property dealers at bay. Senior DDA officials said that although 20 lakh forms were printed, only 17 lakh could be sold. 
 
Another reason behind the low response could be the lack of two and three bedroom flats. 
 
Out of the total of 25,034 flats, 22,627 are two-room sets with single bedroom and a drawing room. The housing scheme also includes 700 flats for the economically weaker sections.

The agency has fixed a base price of Rs 7 crore for each 3 BHK unit. It aims to complete the sale by June end and earn over Rs 1,000 crore. The advertisements are likely to roll out next week. 
 The sale has been long pending since 2012 as the <keyword id="6354952" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="80" keywordseo="Delhi-Government">Delhi Government</keyword> had requested 60 flats for its official housing pool. It has not responded ever since. 
 DDA Vice-Chairman Balvinder Kumar said the agency has written two to three letters to the <keyword id="6360789" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="80" keywordseo="Modi-Government">Modi Government</keyword> to no avail. It’ll send one again asking whether the government still wants the apartments. If there’s no reply the DDA will go ahead with the sale. 
 Officials predict the final price would be well over the reserve price, thanks to the great demand for housing. The cost to DDA for <keyword id="645313" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="CWG-flats">CWG flats</keyword> in 2009 was around Rs 11,000 per square feet. The authority sold it for Rs 22,000 per sq feet in 2012.

The flats are located in <keyword id="8282" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="rohini">Rohini</keyword>, <keyword id="61537" type="CITY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Dwarka">Dwarka</keyword> and <keyword id="73941" type="CITY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Narela">Narela</keyword>. The registration process for the flats will continue till October 9 and the lucky draw will be held within 20 days after the exercise gets over. There will be no provision for any reservation for the residents of Delhi in allotment of flats.

One needs to deposit Rs 1 lakh as registration charge which will be refunded if the flat is not allotted. The registration can also be done online this time.

40 Days To Register For Your Dream Home

New Delhi, Dec 18 () State-owned firm NBCC has bagged a nearly Rs 1,400 crore worth contract to develop 'East Delhi Hub' at Karkardooma in the national capital.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) between NBCC and the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) in this regard was signed in 2015. 
NBCC informed that the DDA has revised the conditions of the MoU.
"As per the revised MoU, the DDA has entrusted the 'Integrated Development work of East Delhi Hub, Karkardooma, New Delhi based on Transit-Oriented Development norms wherein NBCC will work as project planning, designing and executing agency," NBCC said in a regulatory filing.
The scope of work includes master planning of the entire project and construction of 1,600 residential units, external amenities, infrastructure services and other developmental works, it said.
"The total estimated cost of the development of Phase-I of this project is Rs 1,393 crore (approx)," the filing said. 
In a separate filing, NBCC said it has signed an MoU with Odisha Thermal Power Corporation Ltd (OTPCL), Bhubaneswar for civil construction and various developmental works of the thermal power plant.
"The total estimated cost of the project is Rs 200 crore (approx)," the company said.
NBCC is present in three main segments namely project management consultancy (PMC), real estate development and EPC Contracting. MJH

NBCC bags Rs 1,393 cr project from DDA to develop 'East Delhi Hub'

New Delhi, Dec 21 () Realty firm MKS Ventures said it will invest around Rs 400 crore to develop a socio-culture centre and commercial complex in the national capital in partnership with the Delhi Development Authority (DDA).
 The company has bagged this 11-acre project at Rohini from the DDA through bidding process, its director Sunil Totlani said.
 "We have got this project from the DDA on lease for 50 years under public private partnership model. The total development potential is about 9 lakh sq ft of which 4 lakh sq ft will be earmarked for socio-culture centre and about 5 lakh sq ft for commercial complex," he said.
 Asked about investment, Totlani said the project cost is estimated at around Rs 350-400 crore.
 The construction work will start by March next year and the project is expected to be completed by 2023-end.
 MKS Ventures has deposited Rs 22 crore as upfront payment for the project.
 During the 50-year lease period, the company will pay a certain fixed amount per annum to the DDA once the project is completed, Totlani said. The company will also share some revenue earned from the socio-culture centre.
 For the socio-cultural hub, the company will develop a centre for performing arts, auditorium, exhibition centres, open-air amphitheatre, recreational club, library and e-library, centre for visual arts, hotel and banquet halls, besides indoor and outdoor recreational and sports facilities.
 In commercial development, the company will construct a shopping mall.
 Totlani said the company is already developing a commercial and multi-level car parking project at Pitampura, which it bagged from the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD).
 A housing project in Sohna, Gurugram is also in the pipeline.
