At 9:01 am, the BSE pre-open was trading 0.23% higher, indicating a positive start for the Indian benchmark index. Other Asian peers were trading in the positive territory as well — the SSE Composite Index was up 0.18%, SGX Nifty gained 0.52%, and the Hang Seng Index was up 22 points. These are the stocks to watch out for during the trading session today:Power Grid The board of Power Grid Corporation of India in its meeting held December 12 approved the payment of an interim dividend of ₹5 per equity share of ₹10 each for the financial year 2020-21. The interim dividend will be paid to the members on January 8. The share price of Power Grid closed 0.26% higher on Friday. Future Retail Reliance acquired Future Retail’s hypermarket chain Big Bazaar⁠— a deal <a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/business/news/future-retail-reliance-deal-bse-to-consult-sebi-after-amazons-request-heres-all-that-has-happened-so-far/articleshow/78949099.cms">challenged by Amazon</a> in Indian court⁠— is planning to open 16 more stores to take the overall count to 300 over the next three quarters. The Future Group firm, as per its expansion strategy, is expanding into the smaller tier-II cities in India, which is less impacted by the pandemic and has aspirations and an emerging consumption class. The share price of Future Retail closed 0.89% higher on Friday. Cipla Cipla on Friday announced the settlement of its patent litigation with a Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) subsidiary on Revlimid, a drug for blood cancer. A wholly-owned subsidiary of Celgene, BMS has agreed to provide Cipla with a license to manufacture and sell certain limited volumes of generic lenalidomide drugs in the US. The share price of Cipla closed 0.88% lower on Friday. KEC International The global infrastructure major has secured new orders worth ₹1,438 crore across its various businesses. The share price of KEC International closed 0.77% lower on Friday. Delta Corp Delta Corp informed exchanges that it had received approval from the Goa Investment Promotion and Facilitation Board to set up an integrated resort consisting of hotels, convention centre, multiplex cinema, retail facilities at Pernem, Goa. The share price of Delta Corp closed 2.7% higher on Friday. Yes Bank and Sical logistics Yes Bank has sold 2.56% of the total equity in Coffee Day group-owned Sical logistics. The share price of Yes Bank closed 5% lower on Friday. Central Bank of India The capital raising committee of the Central Bank of India has approved the proposal for raising capital funds up to ₹500 crore. The share price of the Central Bank of India closed 0.33% lower on Friday. Adani Power Adani Power on Saturday said electricity regulator Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC) had passed two orders, which would enable its arm APML to claim revised compensation of higher coal from Maharashtra Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL). The share price of Adani Power closed 5% lower on Friday. Burger King India The shares of Burger King India will hit the bourses today. The shares will be listed on both BSE and NSE. The grey market premium suggests an upside of 85% over the issue price band set at ₹59-60. At 7:50 am, the SGX Nifty was up 0.52%, indicating a strong start for Nifty50. Other Asian markets were also trading in green such as — Hang Seng Index up over 1.1%, Nikkei 225 up 2% and Shanghai Composite Index was also up over 1%. These are the stocks to watch out for during the trading session today: Cipla The pharma giant Cipla reported a 38.95% jump in its consolidated net profit to ₹659.35 crore for the quarter ended September 30, led by the robust sales in all markets. The company said a sustained focus on cost optimisation during the quarter helped deliver an EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) margin of over 23%. The shares of Cipla ended 0.62% lower on Friday. ITC On Friday, Consumer staples-to-hospitality major ITC reported an 18.23% drop in its consolidated net profit to ₹3,413.44 crore. The drop came despite a 2.18% growth in its revenue from operations to ₹13,147.81 crore during the period under review. Its FMCG segment delivered a decent sales growth of 15.4% (YoY), but wasn’t enough to offset the volume decline of 12% in its cigarette segment. The shares of ITC ended 0.54% lower on Friday. Divi’s Labs Drug firm, Divi’ ’s Laboratories, reported a 45.63% rise in its consolidated net profit to ₹519.59 crore for the quarter ended September 30, mainly on account of robust sales. Consolidated total income stood at ₹1,762.94 crore compared to ₹1,492.60 crore for the same period a year ago. The shares of Divi’s Labs ended 0.40% higher on Friday. Biocon Kiran Mazumdar Shaw-led Biocon’s subsidiary, Biocon Biologics, had received a ₹1,125 crore investment from Goldman Sachs. This capital injection will enable Biocon Biologics to make prudent investments in R&amp;D, high-quality manufacturing, as well as, establish a global commercial footprint, the company said. The shares of Biocon ended 0.17% higher on Friday. Lakshmi Vilas Bank Private sector Lakshmi Vilas Bank (LVB) reported a net loss of ₹397 crore in the second quarter ended September 30 due to a rise in bad loans and provisions. Sequentially, the loss widened against ₹112.28 crore in the June quarter of this fiscal. The<a href="https://www.financialexpress.com/industry/banking-finance/made-significant-progress-with-clix-group-says-lakshmi-vilas-bank/2123468/"> bank also said</a> that despite logistical challenges arising due to the COVID-19 situation, the bank has made significant progress with Clix group for the proposed amalgamation of Clix Capital Service and Clix Finance India into the bank. The shares of Lakshmi Vilas Bank ended 0.64% higher on Friday. Voltas Electronics major Voltas reported 25.74% decline in consolidated net profit to ₹79.66 crore for the quarter ended September 30. The company also decided to restructure its business; it would transfer 100% of the B2B businesses to its wholly-owned subsidiary — Rohini Industrial Electricals Ltd (RIEL). The shares of Voltas ended 1% higher on Friday. Vedanta Vedanta reported a 61.8% decline in consolidated net profit to ₹824 crore for the quarter ended September 30, on the back of one-time tax expense. The decline came despite the stellar 33% growth in its revenue to ₹20,804 crore during the quarter under review. The shares of Vedanta ended 0.21% higher on Friday. Tata Consumer Products Tata Consumer Products reported an 18% rise in consolidated net profit to ₹234.33 crore for the quarter ended September 30, helped by an increase in domestic sales and volumes. Its revenue from operations was up 18.50% to ₹2,781.34 crore during the quarter under review. The shares of Tata Consumer Products ended 0.64% higher on Friday. IndiaMART InterMESH, Equitas SFB and VIP Industries IndiaMART InterMESH, Equitas SFB and VIP Industries are slated to report their second-quarter earnings today. These are the stocks to watch out for during the trading session on October 28: Hero Motocorp India’s largest two-wheeler maker Hero Motocorp reported a 9.05% rise in consolidated net profit to ₹963.82 crore for the quarter ended September 30 on the back of robust sales. In the second-quarter, the company sold 18.22 lakh units, a growth of 7.7% over the same quarter last year. The shares of Hero Motocorp ended 1% higher on Wednesday. Axis Bank Axis Bank posted a net <a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/finance/banks/news/axis-bank-q2-results-profit-revenue-fee-collection-and-provisions/articleshow/78913594.cms">profit </a>of ₹1,683 crore for the second quarter ended September 30. The bank had posted a net loss of ₹112 crore in the same quarter last year. The net interest income (NII) zoomed over 20% to ₹7,326 crore during the quarter under review. The shares of Axis Bank ended 0.43% lower on Wednesday. Larsen &amp; Toubro (L&amp;T) Engineering and construction giant Larsen &amp; Toubro (L&amp;T) posted a 45% decline in consolidated net profit to ₹1,410.29 crore for the quarter ended September 30. The company said cash generation from operations was robust during the quarter, which was strongly supplemented by proceeds from the divestment of E&amp;A business. The company bagged orders worth ₹28,039 crore at the group level during the quarter, registering a decline of 42% compared to the same period last year. The shares of Larsen &amp; Toubro (L&amp;T) ended 0.41% higher on Wednesday. Cipla The drug major Cipla announced the launch of antibody detection kits for COVID-19 in India under the brand name ‘ELIFast’ in partnership with KARWA, under the technology transfer from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). IgG antibody tests identify the immune status of the individuals to COVID-19. The shares of Cipla ended 0.55% lower on Wednesday. Ajanta Pharma The board of directors of Ajanta Pharma will meet on November 3 to consider a proposal for buy-back of the equity shares of the company and the unaudited consolidated and financial results for the quarter ended September 30. The shares of Ajanta Pharma ended 1% higher on Wednesday. NTPC India’s largest energy conglomerate NTPC has signed an agreement with Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) for a loan worth ₹3,500 crore. As per the agreement, JBIC will provide 60% of the loan amount, and the balance will be extended by commercial banks namely Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, Bank of Yokohama, San-In Godo Bank, Joyo Bank and Nanto Bank, under the JBIC guarantee, NTPC said. The shares of NTPC ended 2% lower on Wednesday. GlaxoSmithKline Pharma GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals reported an 85% drop in its consolidated net profit to ₹76.47 crore for the quarter ended September 30. The company’s consolidated revenue from operations stood at ₹879.32 crore for the quarter. It was ₹882.02 crore for the same period a year ago. The shares of GlaxoSmithKline Pharma ended 0.29% higher on Wednesday.
