<p class="p1">It's pretty useful if you want to see fan's favorite - and least favorite - episodes of shows quickly or if you want to see when viewership of a popular show started to wane.</p>
<p class="p1">After CBS announced "Two and A Half Men" would come to a close after season 12 Wednesday, we decided to take a look at the long running show.<span style="line-height: 1.5em;"><br /></span></p>
<p class="p1">Charlie Sheen was <a href="http://mediadecoder.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/03/07/charlie-sheen-fired-from-two-and-a-half-men/?_php=true&amp;_type=blogs&amp;_r=0" target="_blank">ousted from the show</a> following <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/charlie-sheen-two-half-men-chuck-lorre-video-2011-2" target="_blank">negative comments about the show's creator</a>, Chuck Lorre, initially on radio and TMZ followed by a series of network interviews where he <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKM0cERkXJQ" target="_blank">exhibited strange behavior</a> and continued to bad mouth Lorre and the network.</p>
<p class="p1">As a result, the show awkwardly <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0PVLTNh01_E" target="_blank">killed off Sheen's character</a> at the start of the ninth season. </p>
<p class="p1">The episode may have been a rating's high for the network (<a href="http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2011/09/20/monday-broadcast-final-ratings-two-and-a-half-men-2-broke-girls-dwts-adjusted-up-castle-adjusted-down/104333/" target="_blank">more than 28 million viewers</a> tuned in to watch); however, Sheen's absence wasn't received well by long-time viewers.</p>
<p class="p1">Now in season 11 an average of million watch weekly.</p>

'Two And A Half Men' Ratings Plummeted After Charlie Sheen Was Fired [CHARTS]

For the record, he was offered a role. Our idea was to have him walk up to the front door in the last scene, ring the doorbell, then turn, look directly into the camera and go off on a maniacal rant about the dangers of drug abuse. He would then explain that these dangers only applied to average people. That he was far above average. He was a ninja warrior from Mars. He was invincible.</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">And then we would drop a piano on him.</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">We thought it was funny. </p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">He didn't. </p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">Instead, he wanted us to write a heart-warming scene that would set up his return to primetime TV in a new sitcom called <em>The Harpers</em> starring him and Jon Cryer.</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">We thought that was funny too.</p><p><span style="line-height: 1.5em;">In an </span><a href="http://artsbeat.blogs.nytimes.com/2015/02/20/chuck-lorre-on-charlie-sheen-and-the-finale-of-two-and-a-half-men/?_r=1">interview for the New York Times</a><span style="line-height: 1.5em;">, Lorre said he never personally spoke with Sheen about inviting him to come back. Two executive producers, Jim Patterson and Don Reo, were in touch with Sheen.</span></p><p>Lorre also expanded on why he thought Sheen turned down the offer to return.</p><p><a href="http://artsbeat.blogs.nytimes.com/2015/02/20/chuck-lorre-on-charlie-sheen-and-the-finale-of-two-and-a-half-men/?_r=1">Via the NYT</a>:</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;"><span>I can't say. I just have to assume that he didn't see the humor in it, which is all right. What are you going to do? We thought that was a terrific way to end the series. He certainly understood there was a huge pent-up demand to see Charlie in the finale, and there would be creative closure in that. I wanted to make that happen, but it wasn't meant to be.</span></p><p style="padding-left: 30px;"><span><span>We made what I know to be a sincere effort to include him in the finale, in a way that would give him a real featured moment, and a funny moment-a self-deprecating and outrageous moment. The final moment would have been his. He chose not to do it. That was an effort not to just give him what he wanted, but to give the fans of the show what they wanted. I'm not clear on what else I could have done. I wasn't about to turn creative control over the show to anybody, not at this point, not in the finale. I mean, why?</span></span></p><p><span>Lorre was also asked whether he gave any consideration to Sheen's proposed ending for the series.</span></p><p><span> "Not for a second," he said. "</span><span style="line-height: 1.5em;">It just didn't feel appropriate for what we were doing."</span></p><p><span>After watching the episode in its entirety, you kind of can't blame Sheen for not wanting to come back.</span></p><p>The entire episode appears to be one giant dig at the actor.</p><p><span>Throughout the finale, knocks were made at Sheen for his previous behavior. You thought you could replace my ninja awesomeness, you lame clown. I will deploy army of assassins to destroy you, I will bring my bayonets of truth to the hexagon of death where I will carve my initials into your reptilian skull and cover you in tiger's blood.</span> </span></p><p><span style="line-height: 1.5em;">The Washington Post has a big <a href="http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/style-blog/wp/2015/02/20/two-and-a-half-men-finally-gets-revenge-on-charlie-sheen-with-insult-filled-series-finale/">breakdown of the many jokes made at Sheen's expense</a>.</span></p><p><span style="line-height: 1.5em;">At the end of the day, Sheen may have gotten the last laugh after all. </span></p><p><span style="line-height: 1.5em;">Without his appearance, <a href="http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2015/02/20/thursday-final-ratings-the-big-bang-theory-scandal-two-and-a-half-men-how-to-get-away-with-murder-adjusted-up/365727/">13.2 million</a> tuned in for the show's series finale. <p><span style="line-height: 1.5em;">Meanwhile, Ashton Kutcher will remain <span>the highest-paid sitcom actor on <keyword id="6357922" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="60" keywordseo="Television">television</keyword> with his <span>$700,000 per episode paycheck.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="line-height: 1.5em;">With 22 episodes a season, that means Kutcher rakes in <span>$15.4 million </span></span><span style="line-height: 1.5em;">— but the show still isn't as successful in the ratings as it was when Charlie Sheen starred on the show until he was <a href="http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/charlie-sheen-fired-two-a-165014" target="_blank">fired in 2011</a>.</span></p>
<p><span>The CBS sitcom's April 25 episode hit a series-low 2.8 rating in the 18-to-49 demo, according to THR.</span></p>
<p><span>Another change in the new season is the loss of 19-year-old series regular Angus T. Jones, who angered series co-creator Chuck Lorre in November by <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/angus-t-jones-two-and-a-half-men-bizarre-video-with-spiritual-guide-2012-11" target="_blank">calling the show "filth" and begging viewers not to watch it in a viral video</a>.</span></p>

Jon Cryer Gets 'Two And A Half Men' Salary Raise, But Ashton Kutcher Doesn't

Moonves denied the allegations.</p><p>One of the accusers, actress and writer Illeana Douglas, alleged that Moonves pinned her down and kissed her during a business meeting in 1997. When she struggled during rehearsals the following week, she said that Moonves called her to scold her, and she was later fired from the TV show.&#xa0;In a statement, CBS <a href="https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2018/08/06/les-moonves-and-cbs-face-allegations-of-sexual-misconduct">told The New Yorker</a> that Moonves admitted he tried to kiss Douglas, but "denies any characterization of 'sexual assault,' intimidation, or retaliatory action."</p><p>According to <a href="https://www.wsj.com/articles/cbs-directors-discuss-whether-ceo-leslie-moonves-should-step-aside-pending-probe-into-harassment-allegations-1532897420?redirect=amp#click=https://t.co/n0LJzvX8kJ" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Wall Street Journal</a>, over the weekend members of the CBS board discussed Moonves' future at the company and whether he should step away during its investigation into the allegations, which will be conducted by a law firm selected by a special committee. The WSJ said that board members differed in opinion on whether Moonves should step aside.&#xa0;</p><p>During its meeting on Monday, the board will finalize details of the investigation, <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2018/07/29/business/cbs-les-moonves.html">according to The New York Times</a>, including how it should proceed and the scope of the investigation. CNN reported that the meeting will take place at 9 a.m. PT on Monday, and that the investigation "could take weeks" as it looks into allegations against Moonves, "60 Minutes" executive producer Jeff Fager, and the overall culture at CBS.</p><p>Many Hollywood heavyweights who have previously been outspoken in support of the #MeToo movement have not commented on the Moonves story. This is markedly different from other #MeToo allegations that have come to light, which have often garnered immediate and vocal support from Hollywood stars.</p><p>Since the allegations broke, some female CBS executives and personalities have come to Moonves' defense, including his wife, Julie Chen, who tweeted Friday, "Leslie is a good man and loving father, devoted husband and inspiring corporate leader. He has always been a kind, decent, and moral human being. I fully support my husband and stand behind him and his statement."</p><p>Programming executive Angelia McDaniel tweeted her support on Friday, saying that her relationship with Moonves has been "one of respect and support, in an environment where talent and hard work rise to the top. Statements about a culture of repression and subjugation of women have never been brought to bear on myself or my department in my eight years as a top executive at CBS."</p><p>CBS <keyword id="35666" type="COMPANY" weightage="60" keywordseo="advertising">advertising</keyword> revenue chief Jo Ann Ross also tweeted, "I fully support Leslie Moonves and his statement. My experience with him on a professional and personal basis has never had any hint of the behavior this story refers to."</p><p>Sharon Osbourne, who co-hosts CBS talk show "The Talk," tweeted, "<span>I hope people don't rush to judgement and let @</span>CBS<span> conduct their investigation. Sending my love and support to my friends @</span>JulieChen<span> and Leslie Moonves."</span></p><p>Lynda Carter, who starred as the title character on the 1970s "Wonder Woman" TV show that aired on CBS, tweeted "<span>Les Moonves is a close friend. I've known him for 40 years. He is a kind, decent and honorable man. I believe him and I believe in him."</span></p><p>But others have been more measured in their comments.</p><p>Chuck Lorre, creator of CBS sitcoms such as "The Big Bang Theory," "Young Sheldon," and "Two and a Half Men," <a href="http://www.vulture.com/2018/07/chuck-lorre-avoids-discussing-les-moonves-at-press-event.html?utm_source=nym&amp;utm_medium=f1&amp;utm_campaign=feed-full" target="_blank" rel="noopener">declined to comment on</a> the allegations against Moonves during a Television Critics Association panel on Sunday, but instead commented on the importance of a safe work environment.&#xa0;</p><p><span>"I've been in some unsafe environments in television and you can read about them," he said. "You can't do good work in an unsafe environment, and it had to be made safe for everyone. Why would anyone want to go to work in an environment that's not nurturing? You certainly can't do comedy if you're frightened, and you certainly can't do good work if the environment doesn't support you and look after your best interests."</span></p><p><span>Moonves generally denied the allegations, and said in a statement to New Yorker:</span></p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">"Throughout my time at CBS, we have promoted a culture of respect and opportunity for all employees, and have consistently found success elevating women to top executive positions across our company. I recognize that there were times decades ago when I may have made some women uncomfortable by making advances. Those were mistakes, and I regret them immensely. Nayyar, who plays shy, effeminate <a title="Astrophysics">astrophysicist</a> <a title="Raj Koothrappali">Raj Koothrappali</a>, joined the panel as moderator.</p><p>Early in the discussion, Nayyar asked the writers whether or not they read any of the multitudes of "Big Bang Theory" fan fiction floating around on the internet. They took to the podium, cleared their throats, and stood close.</p><p>"Amy looked at <a title="Raj Koothrappali"><span><span>Koothrappali, staring at the stars through his</span></span> telescope. She had always thought of him as a friend, but now, </a>something was different," Bialik read from the script. "She spent her life studying the brain, but she had a feeling tonight, this <em>swami</em> of love was going to teach her about another organ."</p><p>Nayyar looked up, stared at the woman next to him, and crooned, "Have you ever read '50 Shades of Grey?' I'm about to introduce you to '50 Shades of Brown.'"</p><p>The crowd screamed with delight.</p><p>"Amy replied, 'That doesn't make sense," Bialik said. "'Grey' was the main character's last name."</p><p>"That kind of semantic nit-picking," Nayyar retorted, in a husky bravado, "is going to get you a spanking."</p><p>"Oh my. 2 'Big Bang Theory' stars made a surprise Comic-Con appearance and read '50 Shades of Grey' fan fiction on stage

He hopes that admitting his HIV status will lead to the end of his drinking.</p><p>The actor's doctor also clarified that Sheen doesn't have AIDS. </p><p>"AIDS is a condition when the HIV virus markedly suppresses the immune system and you're susceptible to rare, difficult cancers and infections," Huizenga explained. "Charlie has none of those. He is healthy. He does not have AIDS."</p><p><span>Sheen's admission arrives after tabloid </span><a href="http://www.nationalenquirer.com/Charlie-Sheen-AIDS-Crisis-HIV-National-Enquirer" target="_blank">the Enquirer</a><span> first reported the actor had contracted the virus on Monday. It also reported that the actor has risked the health of several sexual partners and others who didn't know he had the virus, including his former wives.</span></p><p>But the physician said there's a very small chance that Sheen can pass the virus to sexual partners if he continues his treatment and uses protection. Sheen said he has never missed taking his medication over the four years since his diagnosis and that he has informed all his sexual partners of his diagnosis, including at least two of his ex-wives, Denise Richards and Brooke Mueller.</p><p>The former "Anger Management" star hopes that he can help others with his admission.</p><p>"I have a responsibility now to better myself and to help a lot of other people," he said. "And hopefully with what we're doing today, others may come forward and say, 'Thanks, Charlie. All Of The Science On 'The Big Bang Theory' Is Real

The tabloid also reported that the actor had risked the health of several sexual partners and others who didn't know he had the virus, including his former wives.</p><p>When "Today" anchor Matt Lauer asked whom he had told, Sheen answered, "Enough that I trusted to be in the position and the situation I am today." He said several people had blackmailed him for their silence and he had paid "enough to bring it into the millions."</p><p>"What people forget is that's money they're taking from my children," he said. "They think it's just me, but I have five kids and a granddaughter."</p><p>Sheen contended that he told all his sexual partners, including paid escorts, that he was HIV-positive. In turn, many of them threatened to tell the media about his diagnosis.</p><p>He also said it was "impossible" that he had passed HIV to anyone else. Sheen said two cases in which he acknowledged having unprotected sex after the diagnosis were "under the care of my doctor and they were completely warned ahead of time."</p><p>Sheen said he learned he had HIV four years ago after experiencing extreme migraine headaches and "sweating the bed." The actor said he was eventually hospitalized and thought he was suffering from a brain tumor.</p><p>"After a battery of tests, spinal taps, all that crap, they walked into the room and said, boom, here's what's going on," he recalled. "It's a hard three letters to absorb. It's a turning point in one's life."</p><p>Sheen, 50, has battled substance abuse and <a href="http://www.people.com/people/gallery/0,,20470357_20919179,00.html" target="_blank">acknowledged having sex</a> with prostitutes. <p>While Ben Affleck was snubbed for a director nod at the Oscars, he got a double dose of vindication when he and the film scored victories for Best Director and Best Picture, Drama. "I don't care what the award is," he said while accepting the directing statue. He then thanked his wife, actress Jennifer Garner, for "sitting through this."</p>
<p>Lena Dunham, Daniel Day-Lewis, and "Les Misérables" also won big, while Sofia Vergara and "The Newsroom" came up short.</p>
