<br /> Swedish telecom equipment maker <keyword id="6356812" type="CITY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Ericsson">Ericsson</keyword> has appointed <keyword id="2883259" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Paolo-Colella">Paolo Colella</keyword> as India chief with effect from September 1. <br /><br />

	Colella has been responsible for Ericsson's consulting and systems integration practise globally for the past six years, reported PTI. 
<br /><br /> The new company chief in India would succeed <keyword id="1594358" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Chris-Houghton">Chris Houghton</keyword> who has to assume the role as chief of North East Asia region, the news agency reported, citing a statement by the company. <br /><br /> Ericsson said Colella will take a seat on Ericsson's global leadership team, reporting to Chairman of Region India and Senior Vice President Asia-Pacific, <keyword id="2920324" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Mats-H-Olsson">Mats H Olsson</keyword>. <br /><br />

	"Paolo takes charge from Chris at a time when Ericsson in India is well poised for growth and team... fully geared to leverage the new market opportunities and contribute to the growth of the Indian telecom sector," Ericsson President and CEO Hans Vestberg said. 
<br /><br />

	Meanwhile, Colella has worked as executive VP sales and marketing at Ericsson United Kingdom. He joined Ericsson in 2001 as vice president - global services at Ericsson Italia and since then has held many positions within sales and marketing, services and key account management.

	"I look forward to joining the team in India and continue the work to build strong partnerships with our customers in what is undoubtedly one of the most exciting and fast developing markets in the world," Colella said. <br />

<ul class="summary-list"><li>Megan Clawson lives within the iconic Tower of <keyword id="11897569" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="london" source="Orion">London</keyword> because her father is a <a href="https://www.bbc.com/travel/article/20151023-the-secret-life-of-beefeaters">Beefeater</a>.</li><li>She's drawn nearly <a href="https://www.tiktok.com/@meganambxr?lang=en">192,000 TikTok</a> followers after posting videos of what it's like to live there.</li></ul><p>Megan Clawson has an extraordinary home address: The Tower of London.</p><p>Yes, <em>that</em> historic castle and fortress smack in the middle of London, where millions of tourists worldwide visit every year.</p><p>And if anyone is curious about what it's like to live there, they would only need to look at her <a href="https://www.tiktok.com/@meganambxr?lang=en">TikTok account @meganambxr</a>, where she has amassed close to 192,000 followers.</p> <p>"Living inside the Tower of London is an immense privilege, but it does come with a few weird inconveniences," the 22-year-old begins in <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/Cck7q3Eojsi/">one TikTok</a> (which she reposted to Instagram after it was removed for showing her address), before going on to details how even ordering delivery is not at all simple. </p><p>A pizza order, for example, can only be dropped off outside the castle gates and not at her actual apartment within the grounds. Which also means that she must trek half a mile to reach the gate. </p><p>"I can't actually put in my own address [because] if a delivery driver tried to get there, he'd end up face to face with a whole group of security," Clawson said.</p><p>"Due to past experiences, I like to specify that the Tower of London is opposite a Starbucks as that seems to be a lot easier to find than a 1000-year old palace and fortress," she joked. </p><p>The aspiring actor moved into a family apartment within the castle grounds in 2020 with her father, Chris, one of 32 Beefeaters living there, <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-london-58979105">per BBC News</a>. Also known as Yeoman Warders, <a href="https://www.bbc.com/travel/article/20151023-the-secret-life-of-beefeaters#:~:text=Commonly%20known%20as%20Beefeaters%2C%20the,also%20hundreds%20of%20residents%2C%20lived.">Beefeaters are uniformed guards</a> that protect the tower and crown jewels on-site, a tradition that's been in place since 1485. </p><p>In one <a href="https://www.tiktok.com/@meganambxr/video/7070526981779049734?is_copy_url=1&amp;is_from_webapp=v1&amp;lang=en">TikTok,</a> she admitted she gets asked about her father's job "all the time."</p><p>"To become a Beefeater, you need to have at least 22 years of military service — my dad did 30 years in the RAF (Royal Air Force)," she said.</p><p>She also gives her followers <a href="https://www.tiktok.com/@meganambxr/video/7084952539061325061?is_copy_url=1&amp;is_from_webapp=v1&amp;lang=en">a peek into The Keys</a>, an exclusive members-only pub housed within the walls. "The only way you'll get a pint within these walls is with a formal invitation from a Yeoman Warder. Even the prime minister would be turned away at the gates without a formal invitation from a Beefeater," she said. </p> <p>Clawson <a href="https://www.tiktok.com/@meganambxr/video/6972175170823867654?lang=en&amp;is_copy_url=1&amp;is_from_webapp=v1">shared some views of her apartment</a>, including the stairwell. "The millions of flights of stairs we have — as if the tower itself is trying to make your life, when you're [drunk], as difficult as possible," she said. </p><p>She also uses a One Direction towel as a curtain for her bedroom. "The East Wall is consistently packed with people trying to take photos of me while I'm sleeping," she said. </p><div type="image" title="Megan Clawson TikTok" height="883" width="524" msid="91148647" hostid="261"></div><p>Indeed, with her flowing red curls, tourists have often mistaken her for an attraction at the Tower, she told BBC. Clawson's often been compared to Princess Merida from the animated film "Brave" and Sansa Stark from "Game of Thrones."</p><p>"'Brave' is the one I get all the time. Every time I go to the pub, we play a game of how long it will take for someone to come over and ask if anyone has ever told me I look like the girl from 'Brave.'"</p><p>Clawson isn't the only TikToker living within the fortress. <p class="p1"></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table float_right"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div>Watching a good <a href="https://www.ted.com/talks">TED Talk</a> can be a magical experience.<p class="p1">You may find yourself nodding along, as if no one in the world understands you better than that person on stage, or telling all your friends to watch this hilarious speaker who made you laugh and cry all at once.</p><p class="p1">That magical feeling stems partly from admiration, from the idea that <em>you</em> could never, ever win over an audience of thousands like that.</p><p class="p1">The truth is, though, there's very little that's magical about the TED experience. Those scintillating talks are the product of an often grueling rehearsal process; every single speaker that takes to the stage practices until their delivery is impeccable.</p><p class="p2">Maybe it's because we like to believe in magic, or maybe it's because we're inclined to be lazy, but <strong>many people don't realize the importance of practice when it comes to public speaking</strong>.</p><p class="p1">That's according to Chris Anderson, the head of TED and author of the new book, "<a href="http://www.amazon.com/TED-Talks-Official-Public-Speaking/dp/0544634497">TED Talks: The Official Guide to Public Speaking</a>."</p><p class="p1">On May 4, Anderson appeared in conversation with Brene Brown, one of the most popular <a href="https://www.ted.com/speakers/brene_brown">TED speakers</a> of all time, at the Rubin Museum of Art. Business Insider interviewed Anderson before the presentation and he told us that lack of practice is one of the most common public-speaking mistakes he's seen.</p><p class="p1">"Most people think that what they have to do is just write down some bullet points and then kind of stand up and stage and try to make it happen," he said. "That definitely can be terrifying depending on how natural you are."</p><p class="p1">And it's not just terrifying - it can be downright rude.</p><p class="p1">"You're talking to some other people; that's a lot of time invested by them," Anderson said. "So it's right for you to invest plenty of time preparing for it."</p><p class="p1"><div><div style="float:right;margin:0 1em 1.5em 0"></div></div></p><p class="embed-spacer">&#xa0;So why <em>don't</em> people practice enough before a presentation?</p><p class="p1">Anderson offered an idea: "You feel silly and you worry that you'll reveal that you don't really know what you're talking about."</p><p class="p1">But practice is a crucial step in any presentation, no matter how experienced or confident you are. As Anderson explained in conversation with Brown, the difference between "owning" a talk and letting it own you is simply rehearsal.</p><p class="p1">Brown, a researcher who studies vulnerability and shame, suggested thinking of a presentation like a ballet performance. Imagine if you saw ballet dancers heaving and panting from exhaustion on stage - it would be "painful to watch." The mark of a successful ballet dance, and of any public performance, is that it looks effortless.</p><p class="p1">Bottom line: Rehearsal is stressful, and annoying, and time-consuming.
