Production by the organised players (big factories) at an all-India level during June 2024 stood at 66.65 million kilogrammes, while that of the small tea growers was higher at 75.74 million kilogrammes during the month. Exports of tea from India increased by 14.8 per cent to 140.28 million kilograms in the first eight months of the 2022 calendar year, according to <keyword id="6372574" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="tea-board" source="Orion">Tea Board</keyword> data. Tea shipments during the January-August period in 2021 stood at 122.18 million kilograms (<keyword id="9436184" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="mkgs" source="Orion">mkgs</keyword>). The <keyword id="6391586" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="cis" source="Orion">CIS</keyword> countries, including Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan, remained the largest importer of Indian tea with 30.56 mkgs in the first eight months of 2022, marginally higher than 29.13 mkgs shipped out to these nations in the year-ago period, the data said. Sources in the industry said that tea exports did not pick up substantially due to "shipping and container costs which skyrocketed due to the war" between Russia and Ukraine. After the CIS countries, <keyword id="6358356" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="uae" source="Orion">UAE</keyword> was the second largest importer at 23.84 mkgs, a rise of 157 per cent from 9.27 mkgs in the similar period in 2021. Owing to economic sanctions imposed by the US on Iran, tea shipments to the west Asian country also failed to increase in the first eight months of 2022. Exports to that country marginally increased to 16.40 mkgs in the January-August period as compared to 16.06 mkgs in the corresponding period last year. Mumbai, Jan 13 () Even as there was marginal improvement in financial performance during the first half of 2019-20, profit margins for bulk tea players are likely to remain under pressure due to tepid tea price movement in the current financial year, according to a report.
 "The marginal increase in overall tea prices together with muted growth in tea production for the large bulk tea players are likely to constrain any improvement in the operating profitability of bulk tea producers in 2019-20," Icra Vice-President and Sector Head (Corporate Sector Ratings) Kaushik Das said.
 This is despite the fact that labour cost is unlikely to witness any material increase in the current financial year, he added.
 "However, organised players with a high proportion of orthodox tea volumes could be an exception and are likely to see some improvement driven by significant increase in orthodox tea prices," he added.
 In the first eight months of 2019-20, tea auction prices in North India (NI) remained flat, owing to continued pressure on CTC tea prices.
 Though firm orthodox tea prices provided some respite, limited volumes of orthodox teas in total NI production curbed the overall improvement in North India auction prices.
 Icra also noted that while CTC tea prices for the organised segment witnessed an improvement of around 5-6 per cent during August-October 2019, owing to estimated crop loss during August 2019, the same seemed to have tapered down in November 2019.
 In addition, the increase in production by the organised players based out of NI remained muted at around 1.8 per cent with major increase only happening in the bought leaf segment to around 6.5 per cent.
 Prices at the South Indian (SI) auction centres, after remaining firm till the beginning of July 2019, witnessed a continuous decline for the past 3-4 months, following the crop recovery in June-August 2019.
 On a cumulative basis, the SI's auction prices declined by around 3 per cent during 8 months of 2019-20 because of higher supply.
 Meanwhile, the overall global tea production declined marginally by 0.6 per cent during the 10 months of the calendar year 2019, primarily due to a fall in Kenyan production (around 8 per cent), which offset the increase in Indian production to a large extent.
 The softer trend in global tea prices also impacted India's export prospects, primarily for the CTC variety.
 Overall, the total Indian export volume remained stagnant during the first 10 months of 2019, however, there has been a considerable growth of around 10 per cent in the export realisation due to healthy demand, particularly from Iran.
 However, going forward, sustainability of such trends for orthodox teas remains uncertain as of now.

The new unit was able to conduct operations alongside Green Berets. It was successful enough to merit an upgrade.The first official Iraqi operator training course took place in Jordan the next year, with a mix of American and Jordanian special operators as instructors. In April 2004, it produced the first 100 official Iraqi commandos.Shortly thereafter, these commandos merged with the battalion-sized unit to create the first Iraqi Special Operations Force Brigade. Having a plan is critical. Otherwise, an overwhelming email inbox will be your plan.</li><li>Stop interruptions - We live in a highly reactionary world where interruptions are commonplace. Researchers at the University of California, Irvine, found it can take 23 minutes and 15 seconds just to get back to where you left off when you get interrupted. So, closing your door, wearing headphones, and turning off all electronic notifications are great strategies to allow you to focus and not lose wasted time.</li><li>Ditch your C-level Priorities - Ten years ago, we accomplished our A, B and C priorities. Now it's no longer feasible because the amount of information we receive doubles every 12-18 months. It's important to accept the fact that you are not going to get to everything. Be decisive and remove or delegate the C priorities from your inbox and to do list. Effective delegation is one of the best time management strategies ever!</li><li>Don't be afraid to put yourself on "Do not disturb" mode - Every company should define what qualifies as an emergency - something that warrants forcing someone else to lose over 20 minutes when they're interrupted. Having a common definition and empowering employees to push back if interrupted for non-emergencies can do wonders for productivity and stress levels.</li></ul>
