Two CRPF men were killed and three others injured after terrorists attacked a road opening party of the police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in South Kashmir's Pulwama district on Monday, officials said. The attack took place in the Kandzal area of Pampore. Sources said the road opening party (ROP) of the CRPF and <keyword id="17605" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Jammu-and-kashmir">Jammu and Kashmir</keyword> Police was fired upon by the terrorists. Five CRPF personnel sustained injuries and were evacuated to the district hospital, where two succumbed to their injuries. Additional security forces have reached the spot. The area has been cordoned off and a search operation is underway. Two CRPF men, three injured after terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district

Eleven personnel of the <keyword id="76600" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Central-Reserve-Police-Force">Central Reserve Police Force</keyword> (<keyword id="6354354" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="CRPF">CRPF</keyword>) were killed during an encounter with Maoists in <keyword id="43945" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Chhattisgarh">Chhattisgarh</keyword>'s Sukma district. The encounter, which took place at around 12.25 pm, happened in the Burkapal-Chintagufa area, worst Maoist violence-affected district in south Bastar. As per initial reports, six jawans were injured in the attack. "The Naxals fired at a patrolling party of the CRPF near Burkapal village leaving six personnel injured," special director general (anti-Naxal operations) of Chhattisgarh Police, D M Awasthi told PTI. he jawans are from the 74th battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). "A helicopter has already left for the spot to evacuate the injured. The encounter is still on," a senior officer said.

11 CRPF personnel killed in encounter with Maoists in Chhattisgarh

Central Reserve Police Force (<a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/CRPF-deploys-4-5-tonne-camouflage-vehicle-for-parliament-security/articleshow/51104850.cms">CRPF</a>) has lost at least ten of its commandos from its elite COBRA battalion in a Naxal Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast in the jungles of Bihar's Aurangabad district, while five others were critically injured. 
 
The encounter in which these commandos were killed also resulted in the killing of three naxals, said officials. 
 The incident happened in the <keyword id="3501849" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Chakarbanda-Dumarinala-forests">Chakarbanda-Dumarinala forests</keyword> of the Aurangabad district, nearby Gaya.

 A search operation was launched after addition reinforcements of Bihar police and <keyword id="6354354" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="CRPF">CRPF</keyword> reached the spot.

Naxal IED blast kills 10 CRPF commandos in Bihar

At least nine security personnel from <keyword id="76600" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Central-Reserve-Police-Force">Central Reserve Police Force</keyword> (<keyword id="6354354" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="CRPF">CRPF</keyword>) were killed and three others injured when Maoist extremists attacked them in <keyword id="4280026" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="bhejja">Bhejja</keyword> area of <keyword id="6363596" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Sukma">Sukma</keyword> district in <keyword id="43945" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Chhattisgarh">Chhattisgarh</keyword>. According to IG <keyword id="1553616" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Sundar-Raj">Sundar Raj</keyword>, the troops were on the road opening exercise when Maoists open fired on them without any hint. 
 
The number of causality may further rise as the area is quite remote. The victims were the part of battalion 219 of the CRPF. 
 
Yesterday the Sarpanch of Sukma district was killed by the Maoists doubting his allegiance with the police.

They want to bring these remote areas into the digital era and have already initiated such activities in Chhattisgarh, Injiram and Sukma. In July, it had also launched the first mobile phone tower in Dantewada, Chhattisgarh. It also enabled internet facilities, and provided computers to students--a move which was well appreciated by its residents. “Padhega Bastar, tabhi toh badhega Bastar (Education in Bastar will lead to development),” Moses Dhinakaran, Directorate General of CRPF tweeted. The Bastar district in Chhattisgarh is prone to Maoist activities.

India’s paramilitary forces organise digital classes in naxal affected areas

<ul><li>The Indian government has started installing sanitary pad dispensers and incinerators for women in CRPF (<keyword id="76600" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Central-Reserve-Police-Force">Central Reserve Police Force</keyword>). </li><li>The first of its kind ‘gender sensitive’ Budget sanctioned ₹21 million to install nearly 288 pad vending machines, and an equal number of disposal units for sanitary napkins. </li><li>The CRPF will also install nearly 800 steel stands for drying clothes, especially for the women personnel. </li><li>CRPF has over 300,000 personnel — including 8,000 women personnel in the combat.</li></ul>The Indian government started installing sanitary pad dispensers and incinerators for women in combat, according to a<a href="https://www.indiatoday.in/india/story/crpf-gets-sanction-to-install-sanitary-pad-dispensers-for-women-in-combat-1571932-2019-07-21"> PTI report</a>. Seeded in 2018 during the National Conference for Women in Police, the move aims to create better work conditions for ‘mahila battalions’ in the CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force). The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has allocated ₹21 million to its ‘gender sensitive’ budget. It aims to install nearly 288 pad vending machines and an equal number of disposal units for sanitary napkins. As many as 8,000 women are a part of India’s <keyword id="64987" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Paramilitary-forces">paramilitary forces</keyword>. In fact, the CRPF will also install nearly 800 steel stands for drying clothes, especially for the women personnel. The Home Ministry estimates a cumulative cost of nearly ₹300,000 for each sanitary pad vending machine, disposal unit and drying stand. “The sanction will help the force in ensuring better living and operating conditions for the over 8,000 women personnel who are in combat,” the ministry noted in the official sanction orders. The Defence Research and Development Organisation(DRDO) and CRPF also have plans to introduce women protectors for women in the battalion. Overall, the CRPF has over <a href="http://www.newindianexpress.com/nation/2019/jul/21/in-a-first-crpf-to-install-sanitary-pad-dispensers-for-women-in-combat-2007290.html">300,000 personnel</a>, including several employed in conflicted or naxal areas of the country such as Jammu and Kashmir. The ministry also said that the same will be used in other Indian forces as well. The idea to create a work environment for women in ‘Khaki’ was originated on the sidelines of a study on the issues of health, privacy and challenges faced by women personnel at workplace. The study was conducted by Renuka Mishra, IPS officer and additional director general (ADG) in Uttar Pradesh. The survey painted a dismal picture of women in police forces and highlighted their struggles to keep up with their jobs. Some of them carry on without drinking water so as to avoid urination as workplaces lack basic necessities. In fact, the women personnel dispose used napkins in a pit. "The women personnel said it was difficult for them to dry their inner wear due to lack of facilities. Clothes remain damp as they did not dry due to lack of sunlight, and led to urinary tract infections in women," Mishra told news agency PTI. India sets aside money for 288 sanitary pad vending machines for the 8000 women in paramilitary forces

The Central Reserve Police Force(CRPF) has released the Staff Selection Commission(SSC) <keyword id="6356510" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="constable">constable</keyword> GD physical admit card 2019. The candidates can download the admit cards from CRPF’s official website crpf.gov.in. The Physical Endurance Test(PET) and Physical Standard Test(PST) is expected to be held from 1 August 2019, as per the official notification. Four <keyword id="6354354" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="crpf" source="Orion">CRPF</keyword> personnel were killed and three others injured after their colleague opened fire at them in a camp of the paramilitary force in <keyword id="43945" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="chhattisgarh" source="Orion">Chhattisgarh</keyword>'s <keyword id="6363596" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="sukma" source="Orion">Sukma</keyword> district on Monday, a police official said. The incident took place at around 3.15 am in the camp of the Central Reserve Police Force's (CRPF) 50th battalion in Linganpalli village under Maraiguda police station of the area of the district, located nearly 400 km from the state capital Raipur, Inspector General of Police (Bastar range) Sundarraj P said. As per preliminary information, constable <keyword id="12486778" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="reetesh-ranjan" source="Orion">Reetesh Ranjan</keyword> fired at his colleagues with his service weapon, an AK-47 rifle, the official said. The seven injured personnel were immediately shifted to a hospital in nearby Bhadrachalam area of neighbouring Telangana, where doctors declared four of them dead on arrival, the official said. In a similar incident of fratricide in January this year, a CRPF jawan was killed and another one injured after their colleague opened fire at them in their camp in the state's Bastar district, police earlier said. The offender had then tried to commit suicide by shooting himself, they said.  The Pulwana attack is the worst since militancy erupted in 1989. On Thursday afternoon, a suicide bomber reportedly rammed an SUV packed with explosives into a bus carrying CRPF security personnel, killing at least 42 and injuring many others. The bus was part of a 78-vehicle convoy that was travelling on the the Srinagar-Jammu highway in Pulwama district. The Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Moahammad (JeM) has claimed responsibility for the bloodbath and released a video clip of the suicide bomber which it claimed was shot before the young man carried out the audacious attack in Lethpora, about 30 km from here. The group said one of its commanders, Adil Ahmad Dar, was the suicide bomber. Police sources and other officials told IANS the suicide bomber-driven SUV came along the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) bus when the 78-vehicle convoy carrying 2,547 security personnel was going from the transit camp in Jammu to Srinagar and rammed it into the bus around 3.15 p.m., triggering a deafening explosion. The first report spoke of eight deaths. But the death toll quickly mounted. The bus was said to be transporting 39 troopers. CRPF officials told IANS the bus was the main target of the militants and was destroyed fully while another CRPF vehicle was partly damaged.
