India's largest utility vehicle maker, <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Tata-Motors-strategist-Vinod-Sahay-gets-poached-by-Mahindra-Mahindra/articleshow/47673635.cms">Mahindra &amp; Mahindra</a> on Thursday launched a new version of its lifestyle off-road vehicle <keyword id="177599" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Thar">Thar</keyword> priced at Rs 8.03 lakh (ex-showroom Nashik). 
 
The new Thar CRDe comes with a host of new exterior changes that includes front and rear bumpers, wheel arches, clear lens headlamp and redesigned side-footstep with the canopy, reported the Economic Times. 
 
Its interiors also got a facelift with a new dual tone dashboard, wider seats, steering wheel, redesigned AC vents, new gear knob amongst other things. 
 
In order to offer enhanced off-road capability, the company has introduced mechanical locking rear differential <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=technology+">technology</a> that engages automatically without driver's intervention. 
 
The vehicle boasts of off-road features like the 44 degree approach angle and 27 degree departure angle, 4 wheel drive with high &amp; low ratios powered by a 2.5 litre CRDe <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=engine+">engine</a> with a high ground clearance of 200mm. 
 "Since its launch, the Thar has been the face of our tough and rugged DNA, a continuation of our legacy and what Mahindra stands for. Today as we launch the new avatar of this ever popular off-roader, the effort has been to enhance the appeal of a brand that is already a cult. Launched in 2010, the Thar CRDe is an upgraded version of the Mahindra CL340, the MM 540. Codenamed U401, the Thar CRDe, reflects the company's DNA of offering tough and rugged vehicle and the vehicle company claims, is the most favored recreational 4x4 vehicle among enthusiasts. 
 
The Thar is central to Mahindra Adventure off-roading events and is also the lead training vehicle at India's only off-road training academy located at Igatpuri. 
 
The vehicle has played a vital role in shaping the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=lifestyle+vehicle+">lifestyle vehicle</a> segment in India. The cabin can seat six, while two rear bench seats can be folded to create a sizable luggage area. 
 
It is available in a BS IV variant with power steering as a standard fitment, allowing for a comfortable drive. A wide range of genuine accessories &amp; customization options are also available.

Greater Noida, Feb 5 () Mahindra &amp; Mahindra on Wednesday introduced Cruzio range of buses at the auto expo here and has formally entered into the passenger bus segment.Cruzio would establish Mahindra, a full range player in the commercial vehicle segment having presence across the segment.The company has launched two variants Cruzio and Cruzio Grande having a seating capacity of 15 to 65, respectively and would be compliant with BS VI emission norms."We have formally entered into the bus segment with Cruzio range," said Mahindra &amp; Mahindra Managing Director Pawan Goenka.Mahindra &amp; Mahindra President Automotive Sector Rajan Wadhera said: "The launch of our CRUZIO range of buses is another significant step toward making us a full range player in the CV segment." According to him, these buses are designed specifically keeping in mind the needs of stakeholders, passengers and operators.Mahindra Truck and Bus (MTB) has also launched BSVI emission norms compliant range, which includes the BLAZO X range of HCVs, FURIO range of ICVs &amp; LCVs and CRUZIO range of Buses. This BS-VI range is launched with mPOWER and MDI Tech engines with FUELSMART technology and robust aggregates, retaining over 90 per cent of the parts of the erstwhile BS4 vehicles.
