Of the total, 86.05 per cent boys and 93.40 per cent girls cleared the exam. For Class 12, the number of candidates was 24,52,830 (24.52 lakh) -- 13,41,356 (13.41 lakh) boys and 11,11,474 (11.11 lakh) girls, Dev said. The pass percentage was 77.78 for boys and 88.42 for girls.

Elvish Yadav in a video posted on Instagram claimed that all allegations against him are false " I woke up and heard the news about my alleged arrest in the media. All these allegations against me are fake and without truth. They are not even 1% true. I am willing to cooperate with UP Police. I request the UP Government and the UP CM <keyword id="43254" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="yogi-adityanath" source="Orion">Yogi Adityanath</keyword> that even if there is a 0.1% involvement in this then I am willing to take full responsibility. Five cobras, a red snake, a python and two other snakes were recovered from the party venue. According to the FIR based on a complaint filed by People For Animals "A YouTuber named Elvish Yadav provided snake venom and live snakes in Noida and created videos with other gang members/Youtubers in NCR farmhouse. They organised shoots and organised rave parties illegally. They regularly invited foreign girls and consumed snake venom and intoxicants. Rahul his accomplice acted as an agent on his behalf." The FIR says " One of our informants contacted Elvish Yadav and asked him to organise the rave party and get Cobra Venom. Elvish gave us the name of one Rahul whom we contacted. He said he can organise the venom wherever we want. He then came to Sector 51 Banquet hall with the Venom. The Noida police then came to the venue along with the DFO and arrested the organisers." The FIR was filed under sections 9, 39,48A, 49, 50, 51 of the Wild Life (Protection) Act, 1972 and section 120-B of the IPC. Parmod Kumar District Forest Officer said, "The forest department, police and PFA conducted a joint raid in which five people have been arrested. Snakes have been recovered. PFA was following this case since a long time. According to the Police the accused used to charge huge amounts for supplying poison at parties. 20 to 25 ml of intoxicating poison was also recovered from the accused. (ANI)

<keyword id="6357713" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Uttar-Pradesh" source="Orion">Uttar Pradesh</keyword> Chief Minister <keyword id="43254" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="yogi-adityanath" source="Orion">Yogi Adityanath</keyword> on Sunday expanded his cabinet by inducting seven new <keyword id="6364618" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="ministers" source="Orion">ministers</keyword>. All the new ministers were administered oath of office and secrecy by Governor Anandiben Patel at a hurriedly convened ceremony at the <keyword id="138" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Raj-Bhavan" source="Orion">Raj Bhavan</keyword>, in the presence of the Chief Minister and his cabinet colleagues. Among those who were sworn in are one cabinet minister and six ministers of state. The much-awaited expansion comes barely months before the state is preparing for assembly elections in early 2022. Through this expansion, the BJP has made it clear that it will focus on OBCs and SC/ST categories to ensure its return to power in next year's assembly elections. While Jitin Prasada, who has been sworn in as cabinet minister, is the lone Brahmin leader to get a place in Sunday's expansion, the remaining six belong to OBC (three) and Scheduled Caste (two) and Scheduled Tribe (one). The six ministers of state who were sworn in are -- Sanjeev Gond (ST-Sonbhadra), Dharamvir Prajapati (OBC-Agra), Chhatrapal Gangwar (OBC-Bareilly), Sangita Balwant Bind (OBC-Ghazipur), Paltu Ram (SC- Balrampur) and Dinesh Khatik (SC-Meerut). Apart from ensuring a caste balance, the party has also made sure to provide representation to all parts of the state. A surprise omission in Sunday's list is the name of Arvind Kumar Sharma, a former bureaucrat in the PMO who had taken voluntary retirement in January this year to join politics. He came to Lucknow and was immediately made member of the UP legislative council. It was believed that he would soon be inducted into the ministry and given an important portfolio, however that did not happen. There are 53 ministers in the UP cabinet at present, and seven more could be inducted as per the constitutional limit. This is the third time the Yogi cabinet has been expanded since the Chief Minister was first sworn in on March 19, 2017. As many as 23 new ministers were inducted into the cabinet on August 21, 2019. "Contact tracing has an important role in controlling the spread of COVID-19 infection. This work should be conducted in a systematic and effective manner. In Lucknow, Prayagraj and Kanpur, contact tracing should be increased," a statement quoted the chief minister as saying. He was speaking at a COVID-19 review meeting here. He said the state government was committed to protect the people from the infection and provide better treatment to all. Stating that training of paramedical staff should be expedited to increase the manpower in COVID hospitals, the CM said in order to keep the medical personnel safe from the infection, adequate PPE kits, gloves, masks and sanitizers should be made available to them. UP CM calls for increasing COVID-19 contact tracing of patients in Lucknow, Kanpur and Allahabad

"I announce that the movie will be tax-free in the state," the chief minister said. "In the past, there were attempts to hide the truth (of history). But it is necessary to know the past," he asserted. "Samrat Prithviraj", which is all set to release in theatres countrywide on June 3, depicts the life of legendary warrior king Prithviraj Chauhan, played by Akshay Kumar. Chillar stars in the movie as Princess Sanyogita. Akshay had said that the film was based on the life and daredevilry of the "last Hindu Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan who shed every drop of blood in his body to defend Bharatmata". "Our film salutes the courage and valour of the mighty king and we hope that the people of our nation are inspired by his values of protecting his motherland at any cost," the actor had said, according to a press release. On Tuesday, the team held a screening of the film for Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The movie also stars Sanjay Dutt and Sonu Sood in pivotal roles. A Yash Raj Films production, the movie is scheduled to be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.  Prasant Kanojia was arrested from his home in West Vinod Nagar in New Delhi following a complaint alleging that he tried to “malign” <keyword id="43254" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Yogi-Adityanath">Yogi Adityanath</keyword>’s reputation. Kanojia, who is a freelance journalist, shared a video on his twitter account of a woman who said Yogi Adityanath sent him a marriage proposal. The noida-based news channel aired a story on the same woman. The Editor Guild pointed out the FIR against Vishweshwar Bhat, editor-in-chief of the Karnataka newspaper Vishwavani who published a story on Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy’s son Nikhil reporting that he got into a drunken altercation with his grandfather, former prime minister HD Deve Gowda. The FIR in this case too is filed as a suo motu by the policy and not by the person directly affected by the story.
