The paper titled '<keyword id="22661864" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Navigating-Horizons" source="Orion">Navigating Horizons</keyword>: <keyword id="22661865" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="The-Rise-and-Future-of-Indian-Outbound-Tourism" source="Orion">The Rise and Future of Indian Outbound Tourism</keyword>', released during the '3rd Outbound Tourism Summit' here in the FICCI office earlier this week, asserted that few emerging markets and opportunities for outbound <keyword id="19916662" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="travel" source="keywords">travel</keyword> include various Southeast Asian, Middle Eastern, African and Eastern European countries. India's online travel market, which consists of sales of travel services through online channels, is expected to grow at a CAGR of 10.5 per cent between 2024-29, from USD 17.24 billion to USD 28.40 billion. International travel has thus been eased by the steady growth in affordable technology, states the paper. It further states that the government administration and the tourism industry stakeholders in India may undertake various strategic interventions to promote the outbound tourism market. These include bilateral engagement; improved connectivity; support to travel industry stakeholders; marketing of international destinations; curated packages; and hospitality partnerships, among others. Speaking at the launch of the report, Mary M Mutuku, Deputy High Commissioner of Kenya to India said that Kenya is not only committed to deepen the relations between India and Kenya but also promoting Kenya as a preferred tourist destination. "Currently, the India market is among the top 5 Kenya's key sources of tourists, and this has the potential to grow even further," she said in her brief address. To attract more <keyword id="110519" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Indian-tourists" source="Orion">Indian tourists</keyword> to Kenya, Mutuku stated that Kenya has put in place the necessary infrastructure to ease travel in the country. "With an increase in the number of flights between the two countries along with the opening of the Nairobi Expressway, tourists will have more convenience traveling in Kenya. A new cruise terminal at Mombasa port is a major boost to cruise tourism. The berth targets to enhance passenger handling capacity as well as allow for an increased volume of cruise ships arrival at the port," she added. Seitenov Darkhan, Deputy Ambassador, Embassy of Kazakhstan to India had said, "We have huge potential for mutual and beneficial cooperation in the tourism sector. There has been significant growth in the number of tourists coming to Kazakhstan from India which is also due to offering 14 days visa-free regime for Indian tourists along with an increase in a number of direct flights." While highlighting the investment potential for Indian industry, Darkhan further said that in order to meet the needs of Indian tourists in Kazakhstan, it would be advisable to consider building a network of Indian hotels and restaurants in the major cities in Kazakhstan. "We invite major Indian investors to participate in implementing these initiatives in our country," he added. Geshan Dissanayake, Minister Commercial, High Commission of Sri Lanka in India said, "The strong shared heritage between India and Lanka forms the bedrock of our bilateral relationship. India alone stands out as a key source market for Sri Lanka. The integration of the Indian UPI payment system with 'LankaPay' has made simplified payment options for Indian tourists visiting Sri Lanka," he added. Dissanayake further stated that to fully realize the potential of outbound tourism there is a need to focus on marketing and promotion of various offerings by Sri Lanka; infrastructure development; promoting sustainable tourism and further streamlining the visa process. The job analytics database of GlobalData, a data and analytics company, showed a notable shift in the pharmaceutical industry as companies are increasingly prioritising the adoption of emerging technologies and stringent compliance measures to safeguard against cyber threats and data breaches. An analysis of Company Filing Analytics Database revealed that cybersecurity dominated pharma industry discussions during Q2 2023 as well amid the push for digital transformation. "The growing digital engagement, coupled with the rising occurrence of data breaches, has prompted pharma companies to place a heightened emphasis on roles geared towards minimising enterprise risks. These roles aim to advocate privacy measures and develop cybersecurity strategies that enhance the comprehension of privacy-related risks linked to emerging technologies," said Misa Singh, Business Fundamentals Analyst at GlobalData, in a statement. In August, the global pharmaceutical industry experienced a 19 per cent rise in new job postings related to cybersecurity in Q2 2023 compared with the previous quarter, the report said. "In an era where data is the lifeblood of the pharmaceutical industry, the shift towards embracing technology and fortifying cybersecurity measures is not just a strategic move but a critical imperative. As we navigate this transformative landscape, these cybersecurity-related roles serve as the guardians of our digital future, ensuring privacy, compliance, and resilience in the face of evolving challenges," Singh added.

Cybersecurity jobs in pharma sector up at 34% CAGR since 2020: Report

Indian fintech market has received $29 billion in funding across 2,084 deals to date (January 2017-July 2022), gaining 14 per cent share of the global funding and No 2 spot on the deal volume, a new report has said. <keyword id="3658" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="india" source="Orion">India</keyword>'s <keyword id="107168" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="CAGR" source="Orion">CAGR</keyword> in the fintech sector grew by 20 per cent, which was higher than that of the US, the UK, and China which witnessed a growth of 16 per cent, 15 per cent, and 10 per cent, respectively, according to 'State of the <keyword id="14784626" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="fintech-union" source="Orion">Fintech Union</keyword> 2022' report by the <keyword id="136162" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="boston-consulting-group" source="Orion">Boston Consulting Group</keyword> (BCG) and Matrix Partners India. With 7,460 fintech companies, India is now third behind the US (22,290 fintech companies) and China (8,870). The India fintech ecosystem has 23 unicorns (out of 106 in total) and has reached a scale to establish a strong position in the global financial services market and be benchmarked for its speed of innovation, customer inclusion, and growth, the report noted. "Clocking over $800 billion annual payments transaction value, <keyword id="3680498" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="fintechs" source="Orion">fintechs</keyword> have made a strong contribution to the Indian economy, and play a powerful role in the provision of full-fledged financial services to all Indians. We see this collective segment to be mission critical for the $5 trillion Indian economy," it mentioned. Many large fintechs had started operations from 2008, with Neobanks being the recent entrants. While the number of fintechs scaled up between 2014 and 2021, funding was low till 2015 after which the sector received a rapid funding boost. Covid further boosted payments space, leading to a 210 per cent spike in funding between CY 2020 and 2021. "With rising funding and valuations, we have seen an acceleration in the rate at which Fintechs have become unicorns vs the past," the report said. The report said that "we have a game changing 5 years ahead of us as the financial services landscape is expected to have many strong actors on the stage, like large Incumbents, niche as well as diversified non-banks, new-age and mature fintechs, aggregators and Financial Service Providers". It, however, mentioned that "more than 70 per cent of respondents believe most Fintechs may not be profitable in the next 2-3 years. While scale is an important driver of profitability, early stage focus on 'unit economics' is a critical orientation needed". The volume of digital investment in the country grew from 4.5 million in 2021 to 9 million in 2022, reporting a growth of 100 per cent. The neo banking volume, at the same time, went up from 2.5 million to 4 million, reporting a 60 per cent growth in just one year, the report noted. India is the fastest-growing Internet Advertising market in the world at a CAGR of 18.8% during 2020-2025: PwC Report

"Going forward, we expect <keyword id="6354813" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Nifty">Nifty</keyword> earnings to grow at 24.2 per cent CAGR over FY21E-23E. Using a bottom up approach and giving discount to target weighted average PE, we now value the Nifty at 16,300 i.e. 22x P/E on FY23E EPS of ₹740 with corresponding <keyword id="6484188" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="sensex">Sensex</keyword> target at 54,600," it said. It noted that corporate earnings gained momentum during the third quarter of FY21 as economic activity rebounded in the post-Covid unlocking era with optimism fuelled by the festive season. The channel contributes 2% to the current FMCG market. These are insights were a part of Nielsen’s recently launched <keyword id="8408596" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="e-trak-index">E-Trak Index</keyword> - a measurement solution that tracks the FMCG e-commerce industry. The solution is created using aggregated ePOS (electronic point of sale) data from co-operating e-commerce players and data science backed estimation for non-cooperating e-commerce players in India. The index adds a crucial element to the Retail Measurement Services that Nielsen provides by adding a view of the FMCG E-commerce space for All India Metros currently - with monthly read for Total FMCG, Super-categories, Category level for about 20 categories and for 11 categories at a top manufacturer level. Manufacturers and marketers get data, information and insights that can be further used to hone their e-commerce channel sales strategy to help shape a smarter market. Metros lead the e-commerce FMCG race with a 6% contribution from the channel to total FMCG sales. Amongst these, Foods is the biggest contributor with 44%, followed by personal care (40%) and household care (13%). Narrowing in on the value contribution of e-commerce to Metro sales categories with the channel, diapers contribute 26% to the sales; followed by skin creams (12%) and shampoo (10%). <keyword id="3017476" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Prasun-Basu">Prasun Basu</keyword>, South Asia Zone President, Nielsen Global Connect, said, “Measurement is necessary.
