Sachin Tendulkar, Brian Lara and other cricketing legends will be taking live classes on Unacademy

The Australian cricketer has been active in the <keyword id="143" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Bollywood">Bollywood</keyword> circuit earlier as well. Remember the music video that he did with the legendary singer Asha Bhonsle? He also did a cameo in the cricket-based movie Victory, which starred Harman Baweja. However, this time around, he will be seen in a full-fledged role in a Bollywood film. The announcement was made by none other than Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott on his recent visit to India. 
 Apparently, Lee is going to be part of an Indo-Australian film called <keyword id="2507947" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="UnIndian">UnIndian</keyword>. The film will be extensively shot in Sydney beginning this October, and the former Australian fast bowler would be paired opposite <keyword id="29708" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Tannishtha-Chatterjee">Tannishtha Chatterjee</keyword>. This film will be the first one to be made from the Australia India Film Fund (<keyword id="50985" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="AIFF">AIFF</keyword>). This fund was especially constituted in 2013 to make Australian movies with Indian themes for audience worldwide. 
	 

	The script for the movie has been written by Thushy Saathi and it will be directed by Anupam Sharma. 
	 

	"I'm honoured to have been cast as a lead in the first AIFF film, privileged to be working with Anupam Sharma and humbled to be working with an actress of the calibre of Tannishtha Chatterjee," said Lee.

Brett Lee All Set To Be A Desi Hero

Looks like Lee has all the time in the world post his retirement from international cricket, because from what we believe, the movie is ready to be released.

Lee plays Will, and Australian ‘Single Guy’ who falls for Meera, an Indian ‘Single Mum’ who has recently moved to Australia. 	A year later, Uthappa was dumped out of the side following a inconsistent run and amid stories of arrogance and carelessness. He last played for India in a T20 game two years ago. Karnataka, his domestic team, won the treble of the Ranji Trophy, the Irani Cup and the Vijay Hazare Trophy this season, all of which Uthappa was a part of. He has spoken at length about bringing clarity to his batting, freeing up his mind for the early overs where he can capitalise.
 

	"The ball was coming on well in the second innings and even the dew made batting easy," Uthappa said after clubbing a 39-ball 67 in the defeat of Chennai Super Kings on Tuesday night. "I just wanted to play on the merit of the ball. When you play T20 cricket, you lose shape when you hit the ball, so that's where I have worked to keep my shape while hitting the ball."
 Not losing shape was his way of emphasising that he hasn't been trying to hit the ball hard. At the Eden Gardens he caressed rather than creamed through the offside; the shots through the leg side were merely flicked and yet travelled to the boundary as though they were bludgeoned, a far cry from the Uthappa who would walk down the pitch and flat-bat <keyword id="11023" type="PERSON" weightage="40" keywordseo="Brett-Lee">Brett Lee</keyword> over the straight boundary. 

	That is not to say Uthappa has rid himself of all the flaws that plagued his game when he first arrived. In almost all his seven innings at the top of the order, fielders have dropped catches, offering him a second chance. Against CSK, two outside edges were dropped. Uthappa still likes to drive on the rise, and the swinging ball has troubled him. However, he has made the second chances count.
 

	A three-ODI window, though, may just be the second chance Uthappa has been waiting for.

Similar formats with legendary figures have worked well in tennis and golf, thanks to the obvious fan following and nostalgia, but nothing of the sort has ever been tried in cricket. Whether this will work out, only time would tell.

Happy Birthday PM Modi: Three reasons why India can't thank you enough

Brett Lee Scott, 26, of Buttonwillow, California <a href="http://www.imperialvalleynews.com/index.php/news/california-news/10337-kern-county-man-sentenced-for-laser-strike-on-sheriff-s-helicopter.html">was sentenced Monday</a> after entering a guilty plea in federal court in Fresno in May, according to California's Imperial Valley News. He said he had fired the laser pointers at a Kern Country Sheriff's Office helicopter over a six-month period in 2013 because he was "bored."
The lasers he used emitted powerful purple or green beams, and temporarily blinded the helicopters' pilots for several minutes.
"This is a truly senseless crime, and a very serious one," said <a href="http://www.justice.gov/usao/cae/news/docs/2014/2014_08/08-04-14Scott.html">U.S. Attorney Benjamin B. Wagner</a>. "Defendants like Mr. Scott, who thoughtlessly point lasers at an aircraft for their short-sighted amusement, put lives at risk and create the very real possibility that a needless tragedy will occur. My office will continue to prosecute these cases vigorously and will work with the FBI and our local law enforcement partners to send the message that this behavior will not be tolerated."
The pilots were able to identify where the lasers originated, and, with the help of local law enforcement, were able to name Scott as a suspect. The laser pointers Scott used exceeded the legal limit; <a href="http://www.imperialvalleynews.com/index.php/news/california-news/10337-kern-county-man-sentenced-for-laser-strike-on-sheriff-s-helicopter.html">one was 17 times more powerful than the legal power emission limit</a>. 
"Boredom is no excuse for pointing a laser at an aircraft. Scott's sentence reinforces our message to the public: This activity is a violation of federal law and is a serious risk to public safety," <a href="http://www.justice.gov/usao/cae/news/docs/2014/2014_08/08-04-14Scott.html">said Special Agent in Charge Monica M. Miller of the Sacramento FBI</a>. "Scott may have been located and arrested, but stopping such reckless activity is the only way to ensure public safety. Everyone is encouraged to discuss the risks of this activity with their families. Please report anyone shining a laser at an aircraft to 911 immediately."
The case is the ninth laser strike-related sentence from the Eastern District of California since 2007, <a href="http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2014/08/bored-california-man-sentenced-to-nearly-two-years-for-laser-strike/">Ars Technica reports</a>. "Combined with an additional 20 state convictions from this region, this federal district alone constitutes approximately 35 percent of the only 80 total laser strike convictions nationwide - state and federal - since the FBI began keeping track a decade ago," reported Ars Technica's Cyrus Farivar.
It's long been a federal crime to interfere with the operation of an aircraft, but pointing laser beams at the airborne vehicles became a federal felony in 2012 with the <a href="http://www.fbi.gov/news/stories/2014/february/protecting-aircraft-from-lasers">FAA's Modernization and Reform Act</a>. "The new law lowered the threshold for prosecution," said George Johnson, a federal air marshal who serves as a liaison officer with the FBI on laser issues, "and the trend is on the rise for jail time in these cases."

A California Man Faces Two Years In Jail For Pointing Lasers At Helicopters Because He Was 'Bored'

A decent IPL followed for <keyword id="6354506" type="CITY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Royal-Challengers-Bangalore">Royal Challengers Bangalore</keyword> (376 runs, five wickets) but it wasn't enough to earn Yuvraj a place in India's ODI squad for Bangladesh or India. Have we seen the last of the Player of the Tournament in the 2011 World Cup?

 Undoubtedly the biggest gainer from 2007. Given the captaincy of the T20 side without any domestic leadership experience, Dhoni led the side to glory and the rest, as they say, is history. He has since captained India to the 50-over World Cup and No 1 in Tests, apart from enhancing his reputation as arguably the best limited-overs finishers. Dhoni's success with IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings - they have won two IPL titles as well as the <keyword id="56308" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="80" keywordseo="Champions-League-Twenty20">Champions League Twenty20</keyword> - has helped him become the richest cricketer around.

Rohit made his T20I debut at the age of 20 during the 2007 tournament, after getting an ODI call a couple months earlier, but the talent shown at a young age has not fully been realised. He has been in and out of all three formats for India, despite becoming the third batsman to score an ODI double-century. Rohit, now 27, still has time on his side to prove that he belongs at Test level. Looks a certainty to tour Australia and New Zealand, injury aside, for next year's World Cup.

With Yuvraj, probably the second-most naturally talented Indian cricketer of the last decade. But like Rohit, the allrounder from Baroda has not lived up to the huge expectations. Irfan was Man of the Match in the 2007 World Twenty20 final but has since played only 16 T20Is, the last of which came in October 2012. With his pace dropping and a series of injuries taking their toll, Irfan has been relegated to domestic cricket and the IPL, but recently stated that he'll be back in India blue.

India's No 1 spinner in 2007 (he took seven wickets at the tournament), Harbhajan is today looking for way back into India's plans. The veteran offspinner, who has 413 wickets from 101 Tests, is currently out of the Indian squad. The 33-year-old last represented India in a Test match a year ago, while in ODIs his last match was in July 2011. His last T20I was in September 2012.

 Who can forget Joginder for his last over against Pakistan in the final? Two evenings after he was given the final over and dismissed <keyword id="6377175" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="Michael-Hussey">Michael Hussey</keyword> and Brett Lee to clinch India passage into the final of the World Twenty20, Joginder was again entrusted with the last six balls with Pakistan needing 13 runs to win. A wide and a six later, Joginder created history. Cruelly, that was the last time Joginder represented India. He has since plied his trade for Haryana, successfully overcoming a life-threatening injury to make a return for his state.

 A sad tale of a real talent gone astray. The Kerala fast bowler, who bowled some telling spells in South Africa, was handed a life ban by the <keyword id="6354756" type="CITY" weightage="80" keywordseo="BCCI">BCCI</keyword> last year for his alleged involvement in spot-fixing during the IPL, though he insists he was totally honest and non-corrupt. An international career that lasted just 27 Tests, 53 ODIs and 10 T20Is seems one truly unfulfilled for arguably the most naturally skilled Indian fast bowler to emerge since Zaheer Khan.

The left-arm seamer from Uttar Pradesh played a huge role in India's success in South Africa with 12 wickets at an economy rate of 6.33, with his spells against South Africa and Pakistan being the best he's bowled in Twenty20. A couple successful IPL seasons hinted at much more after RP struggled with injuries and form, but he has not played for India since he was shockingly recalled for a Test in England when holidaying in Miami. RP remains a central figure for UP in domestic cricket.
