Maruti Suzuki, Hero MotoCorp, Toyota, Motherson Sumi, Bosch, Mitsubishi Electric and Tata Autocomp are among the list of companies that have been approved for the scheme. PLI is a form of incentive from one entity to another, such as from the government to industries. It provides incentives to domestic industries to boost local production. The auto PLI scheme is aimed at giving a push to advanced automotive technologies and manufacturing of electric vehicles in India. The government said that the PLI scheme for the auto sector envisages to overcome the cost disabilities of the industry for manufacture of advanced automotive technology products in India. The incentive structure will encourage industry to make fresh investments for indigenous global supply chains of advanced automotive technology products. Reportedly over 100 companies had applied for the PLI scheme. A report by CNBC-TV18 said that incentives in the range of 8-13% would be given to companies that are making components for safety, flex fuels, compressed natural gas (CNG), liquefied natural gas (LNG), emission control, passenger convenience, fuel efficiency, and sensors, while a higher range of incentives — 13 to 18% would be given to companies making components for hydrogen and electric vehicles. Auto stocks turn outliers in a weak market as government approves 75 auto firms for PLI scheme

<keyword id="385866" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Bosch-Ltd-">Bosch Ltd.</keyword>, a supplier of technological auto parts to motor companies, consolidated above its 200-day moving average after it opened a new facility in Karnataka for diesel components. 
 
Bosch said its new factory has built up area of about 38,000 square meters built at an investment of around Rs 340 crore rupees. 
 
The construction of the Bidadi unit will be done in two phases, with the second phase to be completed by 2018, Bosch said. This new unit will produce diesel products that were earlier made at the Adugodi plant. The unit will employ more than 2,600 staff, the company said. The new plant in Bidadi will produce common rail pumps &amp; rails in the first phase &amp; conventional fuel injection pumps production will start in the second phase, it added. 
 As a consequence, Bosch jumped 702 rupees, or 3.1 percent, to 23,405 rupees on the <keyword id="53581" type="CITY" weightage="80" keywordseo="NATIONAL-STOCK-EXCHANGE">National Stock Exchange</keyword> where 20,350 shares were traded compared with the 5-day average of 35,700 shares. 
 
Bosch's market capitalisation has gained 59 percent in one year to 72,760 crore rupees.

Bosch Ltd opens new facility in Karanataka, consolidates above its moving average

New Delhi, Feb 5 () Auto components major Bosch Ltd on Wednesday reported a 43.2 per cent decline in consolidated net profit at Rs 190.33 crore for the quarter ended December. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 335.37 crore in the year-ago period, Bosch said in a filing to the BSE. "Total net profit after tax including discontinuing operations stood at Rs 190 crore," the company said in a statement. Total income during October-December quarter declined to Rs 2,676.58 crore from Rs 3,186.43 crore in the year-ago period. The industry downturn continues with cyclical and structural change and has been adversely impacting the auto sector, mainly the commercial vehicle and tractor segment, the statement said. During the quarter, Bosch made an additional provision of Rs 207 crore towards various restructuring (considering the upcoming BS-Vl emission standards) and transformational projects, it said. The provisions are in line with the company's transformation initiatives to capture the opportunities in the emerging electro mobility and mobility segment. "The entire automobile industry is in the grip of a slowdown with a major technology shift from BS-IV to BS-VI in the horizon. Together with OEMs (original equipment manufacturers), Bosch has been working relentlessly to meet the April 1, 2020 deadline for the implementation of BS-VI technologies," Bosch Ltd Managing Director and President of Bosch Group in India Soumitra Bhattacharya said. "At the same time, we are continuing to invest in electrification and other mobility solutions," he added. Bosch Q3 net profit declines 43 pc to Rs 190 cr

Gujarat-based <keyword id="20065270" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="jyoti-cnc-automation" source="keywords">Jyoti CNC Automation</keyword> on Thursday said it has fixed a price band of ₹315-331 per share for its initial public offering (<keyword id="19898327" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="ipo" source="keywords">IPO</keyword>). This will be the first public issue of 2024 on the main board of leading stock exchanges BSE and NSE. The IPO of <keyword id="20052498" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="jyoti-cnc" source="keywords">Jyoti CNC</keyword> will open for public subscription on January 9 and end on January 11. The anchor book of the offer will be opened for a day on January 8, the company announced. Investors can bid for a minimum of 45 equity shares and in multiples thereof, it said. The company is planning to list its shares for the second time in nearly 10 years. The IPO is entirely a fresh issue of equity shares worth up to ₹ 1,000 crore. The company has reserved 75 per cent of the issue size for qualified institutional buyers, 15 per cent for non-institutional investors, and the remaining 10 per cent for retail individual investors. Proceeds from the issue would be used for debt payment, funding the long-term working capital requirements of the company, and general corporate purposes. Jyoti CNC Automation sets IPO price band at ₹315-331 per share

Addressing a session on the 'future of mobility' at the Bengaluru Tech Summit 2022 on Friday, Anjum Parwez, Managing Director, Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (<keyword id="6367448" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="BMRCL" source="Orion">BMRCL</keyword>), said as part of the second and third phase of the project, Bengaluru will have 314 km of metro rail connectivity by 2041. He said construction of metro lines is also progressing well on the airport side. He said the biggest challenge in urban mobility is the integration of multi-modal transport systems and moving people to get into public transport from personalised transport modes. Parwez said urban India was the most neglected area until the 1990s, as urban planning was not in sync with connectivity or mobility issues. He said BMRCL is getting a lot of support from startups in mobility to ensure that commuters have last-mile connectivity. He said the corporation is tying up with mobility providers to get people to reach the nodal point and commute to their workplaces. Parwez said the <keyword id="6367447" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Namma-Metro" source="Orion">Namma Metro</keyword> has recently gone digital with its payment options that include the use of QR code scans and UPI-based payment options which has met with good response from commuters. Also, there is no waiting time for passengers who are in a hurry as there is no need to stand in queues to buy tickets or cards now. He said BMRCL is working on a transit-oriented development where commuters live close to the stations and to the workplace. Besides, the BMRCL also intends to integrate all aggregators by bringing out a mobility card for commuters. He said the corporation is in talks with BMTC to have bus stops at metro stations to help commuters hop on and hop off both modes of transport. He said bike taxis and carpooling should be encouraged although the government of Karnataka had put brakes on their operation. The BMRCL is also working on introducing shopping options for commuters inside and outside the metro stations. He said the BMRCL plans to sell office space in metro stations and provide end-to-end solutions to all the stakeholders. Amit Bhatt, Managing Director of the International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT), said urbanisation in India is 33 per cent while it is about 80-85 per cent in European and American countries. He said about 66 per cent of urban infrastructure is yet to be built in India as the country is set to see a number of cities being built. The biggest challenge is to ensure zero emission, zero exclusion and zero accidents in urban transport, he said. Vadiraj Krishnamurthy, Vice President of Technology and Innovation, Bosch Global Software Technologies, said the future is software-defined fully programmable vehicles. "The key enablers of urban transport are personalised multi-modal mobility, automated mobility, electrified and connected mobility. Connecting vehicles using technology is an engineering challenge of the future," he said. A press release published by the company on January 9 claimed that IBM was granted 8,088 patents in 2016. It said that Samsung was granted just 5,518.The discrepancy in numbers comes from the different methods that IBM and Sqoop used to count patents. IBM used data from patent tracking firm IFI Claims, which doesn't collate patents under one company. Samsung was granted more US patents than any other company in 2016

Both the <keyword id="6484188" type="CITY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Sensex">Sensex</keyword> and the <keyword id="6354813" type="COMPANY" weightage="80" keywordseo="nifty">Nifty</keyword> inched up in afternoon deals on Wednesday even as traders remained fence sitters ahead of the futures and options expiry. The sentiment in Asia is flat. Meanwhile, here is a snapshot of how markets are trading around noon with a special focus on the futures and options space:

Here's a simple explanation of what's happening in the Cash Market on the NSE

The <keyword id="6354813" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="nifty">Nifty</keyword> rose a strong 44 points in early Monday deals as traders ramped up oil marketing companies on falling global prices for crude oil and beaten down stocks such as Hindalco. Major gainers included Bosch and Lupin.

	 
	
		
			
				
					The Nifty gained 0.5 percent to 8,608 points right at the start, overcoming a major resistance level in initial trades. The Advance-Decline Ratio was at 41/9 with BPCL, Hindalco, State Bank of India, ahead of earnings, Tata Power and Powergrid figuring as top five gainers. Tata Motors, Grasim, ONGC, ICICI Bank and UltraTech were on the losers side on the Index.
				 
				
					Minor upticks were seen on broader indices as investors started the week on a firm note. The CNX 100, CNX 200, CNX Nifty Junior and CNX 500 Indexes showed decent gains in early deals. The Bank Nifty inched up 55 points in initial trades. Sectoral indices such asCNX Pharma, CNX PSU Bank and CNX Energy showed strong gains at the start of trade on the National Stock Exchange. 								And on the Bombay Stock Exchange, the <keyword id="6484188" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Sensex">Sensex</keyword> rose 128 points to 28,364 points in initial trades on Monday. As a consequence, the Advance-Decline Ratio stood at 25/5. BHEL, Hindalco, State Bank, TCS and HDFC showed positive traction, while Coal India, ONGC and ITC were on the back foot on the index.
							 
							
								The screens wore a light shade of green in the futures and options market with Divi's Labs, Sun TV, REC Ltd and Indian Oil showing smart uptrend versus UCO Bank, JP Associates, JP Power and Dewan Housing slipping in early deals. The Advance-Decline Ratio, meanwhile, stood at 130/30.
							
								 
								The broader market, too, was dominated by the bulls in the first half hour of trade 1,059 with shares rising compared with 400 that fell.

<a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Indian+stocks">Indian stocks</a> fell for the fifth day in a row on Friday as quarterly earnings from Larsen &amp; Toubro and ITC disappointed analysts even as traders found value in beaten down private lenders ICICI, Kotak and Yes Bank. 
 
The Nifty, which traded in positive territory for the first half-hour, dropped 46 points to close at 8,065 points, bringing this week's losses to 3 percent. Mahindra &amp; Mahindra, ITC, Larsen &amp; Toubro, Vedanta and Bosch were the top losers on the index while private banks Kotak, ICICI, Yes and NTPC and Dr. Reddy's made it to the top five winning slots on the index. The Nifty's <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Advance-Decline+Ratio">Advance-Decline Ratio</a> stood at 16/34 and Larsen, Axis and ICICI Bank were the three top traded counters on the benchmark. NTPC, post a stellar set of quarterly earnings, was the top gainer on the Nifty. 
 
Suzlon, Unitech and JP Associates were the most traded stocks on the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=National+Stock+Exchange">National Stock Exchange</a>. 
 
Broader markets suffered losses. Major benchmarks -- the CNX 100, CNX 200 and CNX 500 -- dropped 0.5 percent each. The Small Cap index shed 1.2 percent even as modest gains were seen on the Bank Nifty and the Finance sector benchmarks. ITC's disappointing results were reflected on the 2.5 percent plunge on the FMCG Index. The Auto and the Media space, too, came under selling pressure. 
 
Sentiment slipped on the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Bombay+Stock+Exchange">Bombay Stock Exchange</a> too with the Sensex dropping 181 points, or 0.7 percent, to 26,657 points. 
 
The broader market was also on a weak footing with just 998 shares rising compared with 1,614 that fell. 
 
Trade was tentative on the derivatives space on the first day of the new monthly expiry. The Power sector was the lone gainer while futures in the capital goods space took in heavy selling. Strong gains were witnessed on Bharat Forge, Glenmark and Sun TV Futures. Hindalco, Lupin and TCS were among gainers while BHEL, GAIL, Coal India and HDFC dropped in trade. 
 
GIC Housing Finance, Atul Ltd and MRPL were on the top volume buzzers list and LT Foods, IDBI Bank and Gayatri Projects hit fresh highs on the exchange.
