Keeping with the age-old tradition of giving couples, the latest season of <keyword id="26022" type="ENTERTAINMENT" weightage="100" keywordseo="bigg-boss">Bigg Boss</keyword> seems to be giving way to a new love story. While the popular couples of last season just broke up, the celebrities locked inside the Bigg Boss house for the eighth season seem to be oblivious to all this. 
 
Everyone knows and agrees that the latest season of celebrity reality show Bigg Boss didn’t start with good ratings, probably because most of the celebrities that went inside the house were not quite famous, and audience could not relate well with them. However, thanks to the efforts of the creative team and <keyword id="6354583" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Salman-Khan">Salman Khan</keyword>, it has slowly started picking up pace. 
 
Now, we can expect all the more drama in Bigg Boss house, apparently because a romantic couple is in the making. If what they show on the telecast is to be believed, contestants <keyword id="272039" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Gautam-Gulati">Gautam Gulati</keyword> and <keyword id="90343" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Sonali-Raut">Sonali Raut</keyword> are getting close with each other. 
 
In the episode that aired last night, Sonali kept her head on Gautam’s shoulder the first thing in the morning. Though he was taken aback, Gautam didn’t say a thing and actually went ahead to say that she can rest on his shoulders anytime she feels like, because Ali, who is the captain, would not want to mess with him. 
 
Also, another drama will unfold when Gautam would come to know about Sonali’s claim that Ali touched her in an inappropriate manner when they were sitting on the bed together. 
 
All we can tell you about this is that Bigg Boss didn’t take this accusation lightly and has punished Ali. Being the aggressive man that Gautam is, it remains to be seen if he gives Ali a tough time for touching his special friend, in a wrong way? Also, what punishment would Bigg Boss give to Ali for this indecent behaviour? Well, guess we have to wait until tonight.

 If you are an avid <keyword id="26022" type="ENTERTAINMENT" weightage="100" keywordseo="bigg-boss">Bigg Boss</keyword> fan, you must remember <keyword id="31814" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="nigaar-khan">Nigaar Khan</keyword>’s last visit to the Bigg Boss house. She entered the house to visit her younger sister <keyword id="66707" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Gauahar-Khan">Gauahar Khan</keyword> during the last Bigg Boss season, which Gauahar went on to win. 
 
This time around, Nigaar has entered the Bigg Boss house not as a visitor but as a contestant, and we can’t wait to see how this 35-year old model-cum-actress, who is known for her vibrancy in real life and negative characters in reel life, twists the ongoing controversies in the house. 
 
For those of you who don’t know much about her, Nigaar is famous not only for being the elder sister of Gauahar Khan, but also as a successful model. Her first acting role came in the form of Lipstick, a serial telecasted on Zee, where she played a grey character. She is seen in various reality shows since then, <keyword id="844920" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Khan-Sisters">Khan Sisters</keyword> being the one that gave audience a glimpse of Nigaar’s and Gauahar’s lives. In almost all her reality shows, Khan has come across as a positive person. 
 
However, call it her brilliant acting skills or her being typecast or something else, we have mostly seen her playing negative characters on reel. Her stints in serials like Sapno Ke Bhanwar Mein, Hongey Judaa Na Hum, Savitri, and Buddha have mostly been negative. She was last seen in the Sony show Main Naa Bhoolungi, in which she again played the negative character of Madhurima Jagannath. 
 
Bigg Boss season 8, which was sometimes touted as the most dull season amongst all the Bigg Boss seasons, has slowly started to gain pace in its 7th week. It was only last week when <keyword id="983479" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="Dimpy-Mahajan">Dimpy Mahajan</keyword> and <keyword id="2587090" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Renee-Dhyani">Renee Dhyani</keyword> entered the Bigg Boss house, and less than a week later, Nigaar has made her entry. 
 
Let’s see how Nigaar, known for her negative roles in fiction shows and positive persona in reality shows, chooses to portray herself in this show.

It doesn’t only give the world entertainment, but also many so-in-love couples with fan-clubs and nicknames. However, what happens afterwards is something that audience has more interest in, because that is what provides entertainment even after the season ends. 
 
A few weeks back, one of the two couples from Bigg Boss season 7 announced their split, and last week, the remaining one too gave up on their much publicised relationship. Incidentally, both the couples were known to get into arguments with each other. 
 
We had a look at all the Bigg Boss seasons and came up with a list of all the couples that the reality show produced, and their fate afterwards.

	Ever since Bigg Boss, the biggest reality show in India, began its eighth season, it has been struggling to find a good position on the TRP chart. Reports suggest that Aamir Khan’s seasonal show, Satyamev Jayate 3, got better TRPs than Bigg Boss season 8. In fact, the eighth season’s ratings are the lowest compared to all past seasons of this show.
 

	These reports and rankings surely have been bothering the producers, who are trying hard to spice things up.
 

	For instance when the theme of aeroplane didn’t go down well with the audience, the producers shifted the contestants to a lavish house just one week after the premiere and toned down the aeroplane settings.
 

	Even after this, the audience didn’t appreciate the show and the producers had to call some wild card entries in the house to put things on the right track. These wild cards included Ali Quli Mirza, Dimpy Mahajan, Renee Dhyani and Nigaar Z Khan.
 <keyword id="1985489" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Bigg-Boss-8">Bigg Boss 8</keyword> is now gearing up for the biggest and probably the costliest change; its makers have now decided to bring in the American reality TV star <keyword id="6357837" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Kim-Kardashian">Kim Kardashian</keyword> into the house. 

	Kardashian, who is known to flaunt her personal life in the hit show Keeping Up with the Kardashians, will be entering the house for a short while. 
 

	As we all know, Kardashian recently ‘broke the internet’ as she bared it all for a photoshoot for an international magazine. The fire of that picture has not even fizzled down and she is all set to enter the controversial reality show.
 

	Kim is reportedly charging a whooping amount of Rs 70 lakh per episode. However, when we dug deeper into her Twitter feed, we came across this tweet where she mentioned that she would be touring three countries in one week:

	As she plans to spend one week in three countries, India being one of them, we don’t think that she would be spending more than two nights in the Bigg Boss house. Rest, we will have to wait for her entry in the house to see how things get juiced up, and if producers would decide to carry on with her role.
 

	In the past, we had several other foreign guests in the show. The list includes actors Jade Goody and Pamela Anderson, cricketer Andrew Symonds, and Sumo wrestler Yamamotoyama.

Judged by dancing maestro Remo D’Souza, director Karan Johar and actress Madhuri Dixit, it is one of the most coveted reality shows where pair up with choreographers and compete against each other.

The fairytale love story of a guy falling in love with a girl he sees at a traffic signal came to an end this weekend—when a family court in Mumbai granted Suzanne and Hrithik divorce after the compulsory six months cooling off period. The couple, however, didn’t part on a bitter note, which was evident from the way Hrithik escorted Suzanne to her car after coming out of the court. They both will have joint custodies of their sons Hrehaan (7) and Hridhaan (5).

Season 2 of Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives was ranked in the <a href="https://top10.netflix.com/india/tv">Top 10 TV shows </a>on Netflix for one week or more across seven countries. Moving in with Malaika features only one titular character, and is produced by Banijay Asia — but is on similar lines as Fabulous Lives. So much so, Seema Sajdeh was one of the many celebrities (almost every episode had one) featured on the show. It’s also important to mention that Malaika Arora was also a part of Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives – and her show has taken the clique ahead. Season 1 of the show was in the top ten TV shows on Netflix in two countries, and Season 2 was in the top ten in five countries. Starring the designer herself, along with her mother, actor Neena Gupta, the show has emerged as a ‘comfort watch’ for people, raking in praises, and a fair share of nominations - even if no awards. Netflix also experimented in this genre (dramatized stories of real celebrities) with the film AK vs AK, starring Anurag Kashyap and Anil Kapoor. While it didn’t garner the popularity of OTT hits like Mirzapur or Delhi Crime, it did leave a mark on critics and cinephiles alike. These shows are another dimension of reality shows which have always been popular with Indians – on TV and OTT alike. Of course, there are also shows like Lock Upp and Bigg Boss which force different celebrities into close encounters and supposedly uncomfortable situations. Shown on the Doordarshan in 1984, this series marked the beginning of the television revolution in India while viewers had their first taste of soap. Small Screen Shows That Changed The Face Of Indian Television In A Big Way

“I remember when we would boss around the people working in our fields. And look at me now. All these Punjabi ladies bossing me around, complaining about the rotis I make!” Kaushaliya Devi, a local of Mau Kasbah in <keyword id="6357713" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Uttar-Pradesh">Uttar Pradesh</keyword>’s Chitrakoot district, is ranting about her new life – new only for the last 20 years. But there is something transient about migrating to a new place, a big city, from your village and kheti deep inside the innards of a country as vast as India – such that it makes people like Kaushaliya feel like she doesn’t completely belong. She is not alone. India, according to a report derived from a study by the International Organization for Migration, has the second highest number of adults in the midst of the migration cycle – that’s 3.5 million planning and 1.3 million preparing. Zoom in on Uttar Pradesh, home to the largest population in the country, and the numbers are mind-boggling. The 2011 Indian Census pegged U.P. as the state with the most out-migration (26.9 lakh) followed, not so closely, by <keyword id="30033" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Bihar">Bihar</keyword> at 17.2 lakh. In <keyword id="6368366" type="LOCATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Bundelkhand">Bundelkhand</keyword>, arguably among the most regressive swathes of land in U.P., migration is the norm with generations <keyword id="41744" type="ENTERTAINMENT" weightage="20" keywordseo="UP">up</keyword>on generations of families opting for it in order to survive. “Peedhiyon se palayan” is a common, oft-heard phrase around these parts, especially in the post-Diwali season, with the winters in the offing when hordes of men and women make their way to the Manikpur railway station to catch trains to Delhi. The families of Bakta Bujurg village in the district of Chitrakoot for instance, often speak of “palayan” and “pardes”. Alpana Devi tells us that her husband Ramdeen left ten years ago, while Ramdeen who is visiting, speaks of the reasons, "Our options are to work on land owner's fields, for which we get Rs 150 a day. We can either eat or send our children to school; there is no way we can afford both." Ramdeen’s father too had migrated, “for the same reasons”. And decades later, he says, it’s still the same, “I don’t see any other or new options that have come up since the time my father worked to bring us up.” What about his children, we ask. "What about them?" Alpana responds, even as Ramdeen sums it up, "Yeh toh ab rivaaz hi ban gaya hai. (Migration has now become a tradition)," watching his 10-year-old son play.

 Migration as a socio-cultural-economic phenomenon in U.P. has been a steadily intensifying one. Between 2001 and 2011, over 5.8 million people between the ages of 20 and 29 migrated from the state in search of jobs, but the tragedy in this mass exodus lies not as much in the process of migration itself as in the outcome. The search for jobs and better opportunities pushes these migrants into the informal sector in cities like Delhi, Punjab, Chandigarh, sometimes Mumbai, where, due to low educational attainment, they are often forced to make-do with low-paying jobs. As a result of which, they are often relegated to settlements and clusters on the peripheries of the cities they’re in – entire families crammed in one room, sharing the common toilet with other families in neighbouring shanties. We visited Rajapur in Delhi, one such popular settlement for scores of migrating Bundelkhand families, primarily from Mau, in Chitrakoot – where men work as drivers and car cleaners, women as cooks and maids, and the children dream of reality shows as they head out to the local government school. Arjun had dreamt of working in the wholesale business, but didn’t make the cut for “any company”. He currently cleans cars for a living and is aiming to be a driver, next. Kaushaliya Devi who cooks for a family in south Delhi lists "gas chalana” as one of her biggest challenges initially, “I couldn’t figure out the knobs! Now I’m super-fast!” nagging women of the house continue to be the bane of her existence even though she adds, “I make tasty food. You know, these city people don’t really know to cook!” Chunki recalls her early days and relives the pangs of loss she felt in the moment she left Mau for Delhi. “Oh! I cried and I cried. I couldn’t understand this Delhi, and why I was here.” And Kumkum misses the buzz of festivals back home – “It’s just not the same here,” she smiles, wistfully. But Kumkum hides other darker tragedies in her personal story of migration – one that reflects on an entire state and its defunct rural health system. According to an Indiaspend study, U.P. spends Rs 452 per capita on health, which is, on an average, 70% less than the others. And there’re more dismal figures here. There are 84% fewer specialists than needed, 50% fewer nursing staff, and the lowest share of health workers (19.9%) in India, as per an analysis conducted by the Observer Research Foundation in February 2017. The fact that T.B. continues to be a silent killer in Bundelkhand – as is clear in our reporting in Gopra, Banda – is just one illustration of the abysmal state the system is in. And this too is one of the big reasons for migration – the underbelly of a peculiar kind of medical tourism. “My husband had T.B.”, says Kumkum, “His condition was not improving. So we came to Delhi for his treatment.” As the treatment began, Kumkum, her husband, and their four kids took up accommodation in Rajapur. The children got enrolled in sarkari schools and since “school admission is such a problem now”, the family decided to stay on in Delhi. Kumkum’s husband eventually got better and regained his strength, but Kumkum still dreams of her special Purnima puja back home when "all the ladies would get together" and bond over a ritual – one that morphed into a ritual of exodus. The greatest driver of the migration story of course remains and continues to be linked with livelihoods – the basic need to earn, eat, feed, fend for your loved ones – in short, survival. The celebrated MGNREGA policy, put into place by the UPA government, has not been the very picture of a success story. A recent Indiaspend study revealed the shocking fact on how wage payments under the MGNREGA scheme have been frozen at the Centre across 19 states, as of October 31, 2017. In U.P., these payments have been released and are pending since 11 September 2017, but that’s only official data. Add the Aadhaar card requirements and bank account linkages, and couple those with job cards-hoarding village headmen at the rural level, and there is a clearer picture of the sheer dystopia that a “poor-friendly” policy has become. In the meanwhile, the migration story is deeply linked with the story of the overall deterioration of the country's most populous state – something is more than rotten in U.P., and specifically Bundelkhand. The proportion of households able to get 100 days of work, for instance, makes for another mind-boggling statistic, having decreased from 6% in 2013-14 to 2.13% in 2016-17. Figures it would do the current Yogi <keyword id="6360744" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Adityanath">Adityanath</keyword> government good to do some stock-taking on. The “sabka saath sabka vikaas” mantra is failing deeply in a place like Kabrai, for instance – a stone-mining haven in Mahoba where machines have replaced manual labour, which has, in turn, resulted in an acute employment crisis. Rajpal, who tried his luck with contracting in Kabrai, is now heading to Jaipur, to become part of the brick-laying unskilled labour force needed to construct, more malls, possibly. We asked his wife Sunita about the big move and her response is tempered with something close to rage, “What else can we do? There is nothing here that gives us money. Pet paalna hai, toh jaana hi hai.” And unfortunately, that is exactly what the palayan narrative of Bundelkhand boils down to. Mumbai is home to several Zoroastrians, who shifted here from Persia and Iran after the Islamic invasions in these countries. Today, the largest population of Zoroastrians resides in India and they are an integral part of the life and culture of Mumbai. They have contributed a lot in its development and continue to mark their presence felt in every sector of the society. 
 Today, we present to you the famous Zoroastrians in the field of <keyword id="1943887" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="Indian-entertainment">Indian entertainment</keyword>. 
 
1. Ardeshir Irani 
He is, and will always be, remembered as the person who gave voice to Indian movies. He directed the 1931 film Alam Ara, which was the first sound film of India. In his professional career, he made films in several languages and immortalised his name as the early contributors of <keyword id="143" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Bollywood">Bollywood</keyword>. 
 
2. <keyword id="31951" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="Boman-Irani">Boman Irani</keyword> 
Perhaps the best known Zoroastrian in Bollywood today, Boman Irani needs no introduction. Starting his career in 2001 with Everybody Says I’m Fine, he has established himself as the leading character actor in Bollywood today. Known for his comic roles, Boman Irani has also won awards for playing negative roles in movies. 
 
3. Daisy Irani 
One of the earliest child actors in Indian cinema, Daisy Irani started acting when she was only three years old. Some of the most memorable roles she did as a child actor were in the movies Jagte Raho, Bhai Bhai, Naya Daur and Dhool Ka Phool. Getting married at a tender age of 19, she made a comeback on screen in 1990s. She was last seen in Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi, directed by Bela Sehgal. She is the maternal aunt to <keyword id="5015" type="PERSON" weightage="60" keywordseo="Farhan-Akhtar">Farhan Akhtar</keyword>, Zoya Akhtar, Sajid Khan and Farah Khan. 
 
4. Honey Irani 
She too started her career as a child actress (with her younger sister Honey Irani), she turned to script writing after her marriage with playwright Javed Akhtar went sour. The first film to have been penned down by Honey Irani was Sridevi and Anil Kapoor starrer Lamhe. Her other famous films include Aaina, Darr, Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai, Koi... Mil Gaya, Krrish and Krrish 3. She is the mother of Farhan Akhtar and Zoya Akhtar, and maternal aunt to Farah Khan and Sajid Khan. 
 
5. Shammi Aunty 
She was born as Nargis Rabadi, but has always been lovingly called as Shammi Aunty. Starting her career as a supporting actress in Begum Para and Sheikh Mukhtar starrer Ustad Pedro, she has completed more than 6 decades in the industry. She was last seen as Boman Irani’s grandmother in Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi. 
 
6. Tanaaz and Bhakhtyar Irani 
The celebrity couple is known for showing some dancing moves in the celebrity dance show Nach Baliye. Their stint in the third season of the popular show Bigg Boss made them a household name, with Bhaktyar Irani reaching in the final four. The couple will soon make a comeback on the television screen, with a new show Badi Door Se Aaye Hai by Hatsoff Productions. The show goes on air on 9th of June, on SAB TV. Delnaaz Irani is the sister of Bhakhtyar and is a famous <keyword id="18579" type="POSITION" weightage="60" keywordseo="TV-artist">TV artist</keyword> herself, last seen in Sony TV’s Kehta Hai Dil Jee Le Zara. 
 
Other than these, the industry also has several prominent actors and actresses who are half- Zoroastrians. These names include Aruna Irani, Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar, John Abraham, Cyrus Broacha, Sajid Khan, Farah Khan and the late Farooq Sheikh.
