The company had posted a profit of Rs 127.74 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, <keyword id="19946643" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Bharat-Forge" source="keywords">Bharat Forge</keyword> said in a regulatory filing. Consolidated revenue from operations during the quarter under review stood at Rs 4,164.21 crore as against Rs 3,629.05 crore in the year-ago period, it added. Total expenses in the fourth quarter were higher at Rs 3,843.55 crore as compared to Rs 3,469.05 crore in the same period a year ago. The Board of Directors at its meeting held on May 8, 2024, recommended a final dividend of Rs 6.50 per equity share of the face value of Rs 2 for the financial year ended March 31, 2024, subject to approval of shareholders at the ensuing annual general meeting, Bharat Forge said. For the fiscal ended March 31, net profit was at Rs 910.16 crore as compared to Rs 508.39 crore in the previous fiscal, it added. Consolidated revenue from operations in FY24 was at Rs 15,682.07 crore as against Rs 12,910.26 crore in FY23, the filing said. Bharat Forge Q4 profit rises 77% at ₹227.12 crore

Financial services company <keyword id="824141" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="geojit-financial-services" source="Orion">Geojit Financial Services</keyword> has given a "buy" call for <keyword id="45365" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="bharat-forge" source="Orion">Bharat Forge</keyword> shares with a target price of Rs 785 per share. It sees an upside of 15 per cent over the next 12 months horizon. At the time of this report was filed, the shares of the company traded at Rs 699. A leading player in the forging industry, Bharat Forge is serving in several sectors including automobile, power, oil and gas, rail and marine, aerospace and defence, construction, and mining. The company's revenue during Q4FY22 grew by 49.2 per cent quarter on quarter on the back of sharp recovery in domestic and export markets and pass through of steel price inflation, the financial services company said in a report. However, on a consolidated basis, the margin contracted by 490 basis points due to lower utilisation owing to supply chain and increase in raw material costs. The demand for the automobile segment remains robust for both domestic and export markets. "Amid crisis, the demand visibility looks robust in the medium to long term. On a consolidated basis, the valuation seems attractive compared to its historical average," the report added. Financial services company Geojit gives 'buy' call for Bharat Forge with a target price of ₹785 per share

New Delhi, Feb 10 () Shares of auto components major Bharat Forge on Monday fell nearly 4 per cent after the firm reported a 81.37 per cent decline in consolidated net profit for the third quarter ended December 31, 2019. Bharat Forge's scrip went lower 3.59 per cent to close at Rs 499.55 on the BSE. During the day, it dropped 6.69 per cent to Rs 483.45. On the NSE, it dipped 3.65 per cent to close at Rs 499.05. Bharat Forge on Monday reported a 81.37 per cent decline in its consolidated net profit at Rs 40.44 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2019. The company had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 216.96 crore in the same period last fiscal, Bharat Forge said in a regulatory filing. Bharat Forge shares drop nearly 4 pc after Q3 results

New Delhi, Feb 10 () Auto components maker Bharat Forge on Monday posted a 81.3 per cent decline in consolidated profit at Rs 40.4 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2019. The company had posted consolidated profit of Rs 216.9 crore in the year-ago period, Bharat Forge said in a filing to BSE. The consolidated income of the company during October-December quarter dropped to Rs 1,868 crore, from Rs 2,516.6 crore in the year-ago period, the filing said. Shares of Bharat Forge were trading at Rs 500.80 on the BSE in afternoon trade, down 3.35 per cent from its previous close. SID DRR

New Delhi, Jul 8 () Auto components major Bharat Forge Ltd on Wednesday said it has launched health risk monitoring system (HRMS), which enables companies and institutions to comply with home ministry guidelines for safe reopening, in collaboration with artificial intelligence startup Blackstraw. HRMS primarily consists of two major components -- a contactless thermal screening system integrated with RFID badge reader and AI algorithms running on surveillance CCTV cameras to monitor and control human behaviour. The contactless thermal screening system with RFID badge reader records temperature of associates at high speed with accuracy and also maintains an automatic daily record of the temperature of every person entering and exiting the premises, the company said in a statement. On the other hand, the AI (artificial intelligence) algorithms running on surveillance CCTV cameras alerts administrators and provides them a dashboard when social distancing norms are not met or if an employee is not wearing a face mask. These alerts and dashboards are then reviewed to drive sustainable behaviour change across the enterprise, it added. Commenting on the launch, Bharat Forge Ltd Chairman and Managing Director Baba Kalyani said safety norms have become more stringent with this pandemic. "We have inducted Artificial Intelligence and technological intervention to further safeguard people's health by creating an environment that is anxiety-free and fosters growth. We have developed HRMS to reduce manual interference and keep an effective check on safety norms. This technological approach has ensured maximum safety for employees," he added. Bharat Forge launches health risk monitoring system for COVID-19 SOPs

Baba Kalyani, chairman of <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=bharat+forge">Bharat Forge</a>, and his family have been dragged to court by the young niece, Sheetal Kalyani, demanding her share in ancestral wealth. 
 
Sheetal, 27, has claimed one-ninth of the family estate and demanded her share of stakes in listed companies. 
 
The case is slated for second hearing on November 05. 
 
Four grandchildren of the Kalyani family's patriarch Vijaypat Singhania had approached the Bombay High Court seeking ancestral rights to properties. 
 
Reportedly, Ananya, Rassalika, Tarini and Raivat Hari, the children of Vijaypat Singhania's estranged son Madhupati, accused Baba Kalyani of ignoring them during the partition of family assets. 
 
Experts point out that younger generation of affluent families demand their share as they are well aware of the outside world. They say that to avoid such circumstances, business families should structure their wealth in advance to maintain peace.

Chairman of Bharat Forge, Baba Kalyani, in legal trouble as niece files suit, claims one-ninth of the estate as her share

New Delhi, Mar 23 () Auto component maker Minda Industries and Bharat Forge on Monday said they will suspend operations at their manufacturing locations as part of precautionary measures to prevent the spread of deadly coronavirus. In a regulatory filing, Minda Industries said "in light of heightened concern on spread of COVID-19 in select districts in India, government directives and certain OEMs (original equipment manufacturer) announcing production closure, it has been decided to suspend the manufacturing operations in Northern India, Rajasthan and Maharashtra till further notice". Meanwhile, Bharat Forge in a filing to the BSE said, "the company has decided to suspend operations at all their offices and manufacturing locations in India with effect from March 23, 2020 to March 31, 2020, to ensure employee safety and contain the spread of COVID-19. This action is also in line with the directions issued by the Government of Maharashtra on March 22, 2020, Bharat Forge noted. Minda Industries further said the duration of this shutdown will depend on government policy. It also noted that production has been significantly impacted at its overseas operations in Spain, Mexico and Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). At global engineering and development centres in Europe, work from home has been implemented, Minda Industries said. "Well-being and safety of our employees is of utmost priority. We are carefully monitoring the rapidly evolving COVID-19 pandemic and will continue to proactively respond based the evolving situation. Mumbai, Mar 31 () Pune-based Kalyani group on Tuesday said it will contribute financial assistance worth Rs 25 crore to the Prime Minister's Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PMCARES Fund) to fight against coronavirus pandemic.Besides the flahship company Bharat Forge, the other Kalyani group companies are Kalyani Steel, Saarloha Advanced Material, Automotive Axles and Hikal Ltd.Bharat Forge and other Kalyani Group companies have pledged assistance via direct contribution of Rs 25 Crores to the PMCARES Fund to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, the group said in a statement."The group is committed to assist the central and state government and the local authorities in all possible ways to deal with the pandemic. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 0.49% higher, and the S&amp;P 500 was up 0.58%. These are the stocks to watch out for during the trading session today: RIL The Supreme Court has asked Reliance Industries (RIL) to deposit ₹250 crore, which is 50% of the disgorged amount of ₹447.27 crore, as per the orders of the Securities Appellate Tribunal in a case related to the sale of Reliance Petroleum (RPL) shares. Bharat Dynamics, Hindustan Aeronautics, Bharat Forge and other defence stocks Bharat Dynamics, Hindustan Aeronautics, Bharat Forge and other defence stocks will be in focus during the trade today. The defence acquisition council headed by Union Minister Rajnath Singh approved the capital acquisition of various weapons/platforms/equipment/systems required by the Army, the Navy and the Air Force at an approximate overall cost of ₹28,000 crore. HCL Tech, Infosys, TCS and other IT stocks HCL Tech, Infosys, TCS and other IT stocks will be in focus during the trade. The consulting and outsourcing services provider Accenture has raised its full-year sales forecast and beat quarterly revenue estimates on December 17. Tata Consultancy Services’ (TCS) The ₹16,000 crore share buyback programme of Information technology (IT) major Tata Consultancy Services’ (TCS) will open today (December 18). And, the offer will remain open till January 1. Zee Entertainment The board of Zee Entertainment Entertainment (ZEEL) has approved the acquisition of film production and distribution business from Zee Studios, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the former for a cash consideration of ₹275 crore. BPCL Privatisation-bound Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) board has approved buying out Oman Oil Company’s stake in the Bina refinery project in Madhya Pradesh on mutually agreeable terms. The BPCL board at its meeting on Thursday also approved merging Bharat Gas Resources (BGRL) with itself, the company said in a filing to the stock exchanges. Godrej Agrovet The Government of Telangana has allotted an area measuring up to 28,164 hectares in the Mahabubabad District of Telangana to Godrej Agrovet, for the purpose of oil palm cultivation. Canara Bank The Life Insurance Corporation of India has acquired 6.28 crore shares of Canara Bank through the qualified institutional placement, taking its total shareholding in the bank to 8.35% from 4.53%. Dishman Carbogen Dishman Carbogen promoter will sell a 4.4% stake in the company via offer for sale on December 18 and 21 at a set floor price of ₹145.70 per share. SpiceJet SpiceJet would start 30 new domestic flights in a phased manner from next week. Among the 30 flights from Sunday, six will connect Darbhanga in Bihar with Ahmedabad, Pune and Hyderabad, the airline said. PVR The board of cinema hall giant PVR will meet today to discuss its fundraising plans. New Delhi, Feb 10 () Auto components major Bharat Forge on Monday reported a 81.37 per cent decline in its consolidated net profit at Rs 40.44 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2019. The company had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 216.96 crore in the same period last fiscal, Bharat Forge said in a regulatory filing. Total income during the period under review stood at Rs 1,868.05 crore, as against Rs 2,516.7 crore in the year-ago quarter, it added. "The quarter gone by was a repeat of the previous quarter in terms of weak market demand and financial performance," Bharat Forge Chairman and Managing Director B N Kalyani said. Domestic and export revenues were down more than 30 per cent in the third quarter as compared to the year-ago period, he added. Kalyani, however, said passenger vehicle business continued to stand out across both domestic and export markets with strong performance against underlying demand and grew by 8.7 per cent. He said the company's international operations in Europe have also been badly impacted by the decline in end market. "We have initiated restructuring and cost optimisation actions. These actions coupled with investing in creating capacity towards a favourable product mix will eventually result in a sustainable and stronger business overseas," he added. On the outlook, he said, "over the next three to six months we expect demand to remain soft given the uncertainty in India due to the transition to BS-VI and continuation of weakness in North America and Europe." He, however, added that the "phase of sequential decline in the financial performance for the company is nearing an end and the new phase of growth will commence in FY21". The convergence of cost reduction initiatives and business development will enable the company to come out stronger from this current downturn, he said. RKL DRR
