US-based <keyword id="10577949" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="triton-electric-vehicle">Triton Electric Vehicle</keyword> on Monday said it aims to introduce N4 sedan in India with price starting at Rs 35 lakh. The electric sedan, which would be manufactured in the US, is going to be available in four different variants and a high-performance limited edition in the country, the company said in a statement. Only 100 units of the limited edition version -- N4-GT -- would be produced, it added. The N4 model comes powered by 75Kwh and 100 Kwh battery options giving the vehicle a range of up to 523 km and 696 km respectively, it added. "The base model will be priced at Rs 35 lakh thus, showing the amount of market research that has been put by the company to cater the requirements of the Indian market," Triton Electric Vehicle said. The company added that it has commenced the pre-launch bookings of the model for the Indian customers on its website. "As we are heading towards a new era of commitment towards our environment, EVs are going to make a definitive contribution in building a future ready society. We aim to make our sincere contribution towards ensuring a future ready society with environmentally friendly clean energy practices," Triton Electric Vehicle Founder and CEO Himanshu B Patel said. Hyderbad, Global <keyword id="6354750" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="health">health</keyword>care company GSK, non-profit agency working to end health inequity PATH, and <keyword id="9254290" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="vaccine-maker-bharat-biotech">vaccine maker Bharat Biotech</keyword> on Wednesday announced the signing of a product transfer agreement for malaria vaccine RTS,S/AS01E1. The agreement includes the transfer of manufacturing of the RTS,S antigen part of the vaccine and the grant of a license on all rights pertaining to the RTS,S/AS01 malaria vaccine to Hyderabad-based <keyword id="149108" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Bharat-Biotech">Bharat Biotech</keyword> International Ltd (BBIL). GSK will retain the production of the adjuvant of the vaccine (AS01E) and will supply it to Bharat Biotech. BBIL was selected through a comprehensive, competitive process undertaken by GSK and PATH, working in consultation with the <keyword id="6356311" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="World-Health-Organisation">World Health Organisation</keyword> (WHO), the vaccine maker said in a statement here. The RTS,S/AS01E malaria vaccine, developed by GSK for more than 30 years, and in partnership with PATH since 2001, is currently being piloted in regions of Ghana, Kenya, and Malawi under the Malaria Vaccine Implementation Programme (MVIP). Ministries of Health concerned are leading the implementation of the vaccine, which is being given to young children through the three countries' routine immunisation programmes, with WHO providing technical and scientific leadership, playing a coordinating role, and working in collaboration with GSK, PATH, and a range of <keyword id="10662236" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="other-partners">other partners</keyword>. RTS,S/AS01E is the first, and to date, the only malaria vaccine to have received a positive review by regulatory authorities (positive scientific opinion from the <keyword id="114599" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="European-Medicines-Agency">European Medicines Agency</keyword> and approval by the regulatory authorities of Ghana, Kenya, and Malawi for use in the MVIP). The first dose of the vaccine has reached more than 500,000 children since the pilots were initiated by Ministries of Health in the three participating countries in 2019. This agreement with BBIL is the result of efforts by GSK, PATH, and WHO to help ensure long-term sustainable vaccine supply, in the event of a WHO policy recommendation for broader use and a commitment of sustained funding. This builds on existing GSK commitments to donate up to 10 million RTS,S/AS01E doses for use in the pilot, and to supply up to 15 million doses annually until 2028 if the product is recommended for wider use by WHO. It is expected that by 2029, at the latest, BBIL will be the sole supplier of the vaccine, with GSK supplying the adjuvant AS01E to them. "With a child still dying of malaria every two minutes, helping secure the long-term future of the only vaccine available by working with an established leader like Bharat Biotech is vital for the continued fight against this devastating disease. GSK is delighted to sign this agreement with Bharat Biotech," said Thomas Breuer, GSK Vaccines Chief Medical Officer and Vaccines Global Health lead. NMDC The state-owned NMDC reported over 54% fall in its net profit to ₹531.35 crore in the first quarter ended June 30, mainly on account of lower income due to COVID-19. Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) The offer for sale (OFS) of Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) was oversubscribed 1.6 times by non-retail investors. The government has decided to exercise the “green shoe” option. The “green shoe” refers to the option of over-allotment of shares. The shares of HAL ended nearly 14% lower on Thursday. Defence stocks in focus Other defence stocks like Bharat Forge, BHEL and Bharat Electronics will also be in focus today. IDFC Bank IDFC Bank reported a consolidated net loss of ₹26.46 crore for the quarter ended June 30. The consolidated total income fell to ₹103.99 crore during the period, as against ₹133.04 crore in the same quarter last year. The shares of IDFC ended nearly 2% lower on Thursday. Allcargo Logistics The board of directors of Allcargo Logistics considered voluntary delisting of shares proposal in a meeting yesterday. The company has appointed Inga Ventures as a merchant banker. The company in a stock-exchange filing said the board would meet again to discuss the delisting proposal in detail, after receipt of the due diligence report from the Merchant Banker. The shares of Allcargo Logistics ended nearly 4% lower on Thursday. GMR Infra GMR Infrastructure has decided to restructure its business. In a 'scheme of arrangement' involving vertical split demerger of the non-airport business — these include energy, urban infrastructure and EPC services - will be split into GPUIL. The airport business will be listed separately. The shares of GMR Infra ended 0.19% higher on Thursday.

New Delhi, Mar 21 () Cement maker Dalmia Bharat Ltd on Saturday said its board has approved a proposal to buy back shares worth up to Rs 500 crore.The company further said it intends to buy not more than 71,42,857 shares at a maximum price of Rs 700 per unit.The shares will be bought back from the open market by using the electronic trading facilities of National Stock Exchange of India Limited and BSE Limited, the company said in a statement."The Board of Directors, at its meeting held on March 21, 2020, has approved buyback of the company's fully paid-up equity shares having a face value of Rs 2 each for an aggregate amount not exceeding Rs 500,00,00,000 excluding buyback tax, brokerage, costs, fees, turnover charges, taxes such as securities transaction tax, goods and services tax (if any) and income tax, stamp duty, advisors fees, filing fees and other incidental," it said.Dalmia Bharat Ltd currently has a cement manufacturing capacity of 26.5 million tonne per annum. The company's 12 cement manufacturing units are spread across nine states. The company also the lowest carbon footprint in the cement world, globally.On Friday, Dalmia Bharat shares closed 5.06 per cent up at Rs 511.10 apiece on the BSE. ABI MKJ

Dalmia Bharat board approves Rs 500-cr share buyback proposal

New Delhi, Nov 22 () A clutch of Indian vendors of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) on Friday sought the telecom department's intervention for release of outstanding dues of nearly Rs 1,600 crore, pertaining to Bharat Net II project.
 These companies, which have sought intervention of Department of Telecom (DoT) Secretary Anshu Prakash, said they are "deeply troubled" over non-payment of dues and sought immediate release of outstanding payments.
 The companies that have approached the DoT flagging their concerns on pending dues include Sterlite, Tejas, Paramount Wires And Cables Ltd (PWCL), Aksh Optifibre, Finolex among others, and the dues run into Rs 1,600 crore, said Sandeep Aggarwal, Managing Director of Paramount Communications.
 "The dues are towards supply of cable, electronics and pipes and are linked to Bharat Net II project," Aggarwal, who is also the Chairman of Telecom Committee of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, told reporters.
 The Union Cabinet had, last month, approved a plan to combine MTNL - which provides services in Mumbai and New Delhi - with BSNL that services the rest of the nation.
 It also approved a Rs 69,000-crore revival package, including monetising their assets and giving VRS to employees.
 The package includes infusion of Rs 20,140 crore for purchase of 4G spectrum, Rs 3,674 crore for GST to be paid on spectrum allocation, companies raising Rs 15,000 crore in debt on the sovereign guarantee and government funding Rs 17,160 crore VRS and another Rs 12,768 crore towards retirement liability.
 The two firms will also monetise assets worth Rs 37,500 crore in the next three years. MTNL has reported losses in nine of the past 10 years and BSNL too has been ringing in loss since 2010.
