large display, the monitor is sleek and features minimal bezels on all four sides. The stand has a large base that is aimed at keeping it stable. You can adjust the height up to 6 inches, swivel 60 degrees, pivot up to 90 degrees and tilt up to 25 degrees. Allowing you to get it in the perfect position that suits you.<br /><br />      <div type="image" title="Thickness" msid="113609504" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Monitor&amp;#39;s thickness&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div><br />The monitor is on the heavier side, weighing 8.2 kg with the stand. For those unaware, IPS Black is a new variant of IPS panels that offers improved contrast compared to traditional IPS panels. While this is the first time that BenQ has used an IPS Black panel, companies like LG and Dell have used IPS Black panels for their monitors.<br /><br />      <div type="image" title="Display" msid="113609521" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;BenQ PD3225U display&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div><br />The monitor from BenQ offers a 3840 x 2160 pixels resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, 400 nits brightness and a 5 ms response time (GtG).<br /><br />As the monitor is aimed at designers and creators, image quality and colour reproduction are very important. This is where the BenQ PD3225U shines, offering excellent colour reproduction and detailed images. The IPS Black panel helps in maintaing a good contrast ratio.<br /><br />The monitor offers high brightness, ensuring you don’t have to worry about visibility. The monitor is quite bright and I found myself using it mostly around the 50% mark.<br /><br />The screen is factory-calibrated for MacBook, allowing you to start using it immediately without worrying about colour calibration. It also offers an M-Book mode to sync the colour settings between your device and the monitor.<br /><br />BenQ has also offered the Hotkey Puck G2 with the monitor. This can be connected to the monitor and allows you to control the on-screen menu. This helps in boosting productivity as it allows you to easily switch between various modes and tools.<br /><br />The monitor also comes with dual 2.5W speakers. These are enough to watch a quick video, listen to music or just for notifications. While these are good to have, they are not a replacement for a pair of headphones. I have always preferred a monitor that has a speaker so that I don’t have to grab my headphones every time I want to listen to something.<br /><br /><h2>Verdict</h2>The BenQ PD3225U is an excellent option, especially for MacBook users looking for a reliable monitor. While the price may look on the higher side, it is relatively affordable when compared to the Apple Studio Display which starts at ₹1,59,900. I played games like Starfield, Red Dead Redemption 2 and more on the laptop, with the device offering excellent visuals in each game.<br /><br /><h2>Performance</h2>The Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 is powered with AMD’s new Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor, a new chipset aimed at offering AI-centric features. It is part of the company’s Ryzen AI Strix Point hardware and has been paired with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPU.<br /><br />The Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor features 12 Cores and 24 Threads. This includes four performance Zen5 cores and eight efficiency Zen5c Cores. It runs at up to 80W TDP.<br /><br />The laptop comes with 32GB DDR5X 7500MHz RAM. For storage, it offers a 2TB M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD. While the RAM is soldered on and cannot be expanded, Asus has provided an extra M.2 2280 slot.<br /><br />As mentioned earlier, I tested the laptop with heavy games such as Red Dead Redemption 2, Starfield and Forza Horizon 5. The laptop was able to easily handle the games at maximum settings. The laptop can handle AAA games with ease at Ultra settings. The high refresh rate also allowed me to enjoy games such as Counter-Strike 2 and Valorant.<br /><br />Coming to its AI features, the new Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 chipset features the XDNA 2 NPU, which is designed for AI. The NPU can process up to 80 TOPS.<br /><br />The device comes with Ryzen AI, a suite of AI-powered apps from AMD. It includes the image generation tool Amuse AI, the LM Studio assistant, and more. While there’s still some way to go for AI-powered apps, the Ryzen AI is an excellent addition to the powerful laptop as it helps in boosting productivity. The device can also make use of AI capabilities baked into Windows and Microsoft Office 365.<br /><br />The laptop is equipped with a 90Whr battery and like most gaming laptops, battery life is not the device’s strongest point. During gaming, it offers around two hours of battery life at full performance. With normal usage, you can get around five to six hours of battery life out of the device.<br /><br /><h2>Verdict</h2>The Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 ticks off all the right boxes, including a premium design, powerful hardware, excellent display and more. The company has also added a ton of AI features that make use of the powerful NPU offered with the processor.<br /><br />Overall, this is an excellent option for those looking for a powerful gaming laptop that can also be used for work. One of the cons of the laptop is its battery life. If you want to use the laptop for several hours on the go, the Zephyrus G16 may not be the right option.
