After series of hacks last week by a group who calls them ‘<keyword id="121122" type="ENTERTAINMENT" weightage="20" keywordseo="Legion">Legion</keyword>’, it’s time for journalists to be worried. After <keyword id="5268" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Rahul-Gandhi">Rahul Gandhi</keyword> and <keyword id="14678" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Vijay-Mallya">Vijay Mallya</keyword>, Legion just hacked <keyword id="6420486" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="NDTV">NDTV</keyword> journalists <keyword id="357957" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Barkha-Dutt">Barkha Dutt</keyword> and <keyword id="319216" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Ravish-Kumar">Ravish Kumar</keyword>’s Twitter profiles. 
 The hackers posted on credentials of <keyword id="19096" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="dutt">Dutt</keyword>’s email account and also a partial email dump. 
 
Legion kept on posting tweets that confirmed they had taken over the control of both the profiles. 
 
 
 The hackers have also warned to hack <keyword id="3257" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Lalit-Modi">Lalit Modi</keyword>’s Twitter account soon.

Dutt and Ravish Kumar hacked

The Indian government has stepped in and is going to work on a war footing in the wake of hacking of Twitter and personal accounts of Congress Vice-President <keyword id="5268" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Rahul-Gandhi">Rahul Gandhi</keyword>, liquor baron <keyword id="14678" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Vijay-Mallya">Vijay Mallya</keyword>, and senior journalists <keyword id="357957" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Barkha-Dutt">Barkha Dutt</keyword> and <keyword id="319216" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Ravish-Kumar">Ravish Kumar</keyword> by Legion group. They have also threatened to hack parliament’s website. 
 IT Minister <keyword id="6354886" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Ravi-Shankar-Prasad">Ravi Shankar Prasad</keyword> has called for an audit of entire IT infrastructure and ordered review of the financial sector starting immediately with the National Payment Corporation of India (<keyword id="193629" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="NPCI">NPCI</keyword>), review of the IT Act to make it stronger and setting up a crack team to respond to unusual incidents on a war footing. 
 
The government has also asked Twitter and payment wallets to strengthen their network. NPCI is an umbrella organisation for all retail payments system in India. 
 
"There is huge traffic flowing through the IT platforms, if there is any mishap, the systems have to be resilient and we have to take appropriate measures. We have to be alert, there is nothing to be scared of," said Prasad. 
 
A meeting was also called of bankers and more than 50 officers from IDFC, ICICI, SBI, Canara Bank, etc attended it. 
 
"We have sought details from all the people whose accounts have been hacked and Twitter has also been asked to strengthen its security and to pay attention to any unusual movement," Prasad told ET.

A series of scary stories from Indian hospitals show the health system is stretched to its limit

After hacking Twitter accounts of Rahul Gandhi and Vijay Mallya, hacker group Legion is now going to target parliament’s website. 
 
The hacker group, in an encrypted interview, told a tech news website: “Next is a dump of sansad-.nic.in emails. Which is - quite big. It includes a lot of _BIG FISH_.” 
 The <keyword id="1334314" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Parliament-website">parliament website</keyword> has email services to government employees. Besides, in an interview with Washington Post, a Legion member claimed to have access to servers of Apollo chain of hospitals, etc. 
 
"We... ourselves have confidential data pertaining to NPCI /IDRBT (hub servers, and even have the encryption keys/ certificates used by some banks in India," Legion said. 
 
In interviews to Washington Post and Factor-Daily.com, they spoke about weak data security practices. The hacker who spoke with the Post described the group as a "bunch of computer g33kz addicted to crime and drugz". 
 
In an interview to Washington Post, Legion said their objective was to put "as much classified information out in the public domain as possible". 
 
In another interview to Factordaily-.com, a Legion member responded to a question about possibly targeting BJP, saying: "We will own them too, when the time is right." 
 
Recently, Legion hacked accounts of Vijay Mallya, Rahul Gandhi, and senior NDTV journalists Ravish Kumar and Barkha Dutt. They published 277 files purported to be documents pertaining to Vijay Mallya's personal and financial dealings. These included credit card bills and scanned copies of his passports. In the case of Dutt, they released a "partial" dump of her emails, 1.2 GB in size. When they breached Gandhi's Twitter account, they threatened to release data on Congress as well.

Legion claims it will now hack parliament’s website, says it includes lot of “big fish”

anger against CSK, RR!

Before we set out, let me accept that there are some very necessary reasons for breaking online ties with someone. Some popular examples are someone repeatedly badgering you for a job despite being reasoned with, someone taking a personal jab at you, stalkers, cyber bullying, rape jokes, brute crassness and so on. This article, however, is going to be about why it is important to hold on to online connections with opposing <keyword id="675829" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="ideologies">ideologies</keyword>. 
 
Too often have we all seen people proudly making announcements that they have unfriended everyone promoting an opposing political ideology. 
 
A little over a decade ago as social media, as we know it today, began linking us as it has, many of us assumed that a more-networked world would naturally be a smarter and more communicative. However, it really hasn’t and has probably made it even worse. 
 
 
 This is mostly because conversations in different schools of thoughts are happening in silos. In the light of the social media campaign around the next big Marvel superhero movie release, the Captain America fans are tweeting and communicating with #TeamCap and the <keyword id="6414070" type="ENTERTAINMENT" weightage="20" keywordseo="iron-man">Iron Man</keyword> fans with #TeamIronman. They are not talking to each other. 
 
 
 
Closer to home, and slightly more relevant, the AAPtards are the ones using the hashtag #Bhaktards and the Bhaktards are the ones propagating #AAPtards. One side spreads Anupam Kher’s speech and the other Barkha Dutt’s. Across the world we have #Trump vs #Bernie, #Labour vs #Conservative, #GreenFraud vs #GlobalWarming. You get the picture. Each set is only speaking amongst itself. The internet has effectively created multiple echo chambers that are only getting consistently larger and hence more dangerous. 
 
 
 
To make things worse, it is that once someone posts something, for example, “Climate change is merely socialist propaganda. #greenfraud”, they will rarely admit to them having been wrong. Regardless of the quality of the arguments presented in the comments that follow, their human ego will not allow it. And even if they did society has a way of making them feel bad for admitting they were wrong. It’s an auto-immune disease. 
 
It’s usually at the end of seemingly fruitless conversations that people wind up “unfriending” or “unfollowing” one another. Today I’m here writing this piece asking you to please NOT do that. Stick around. Force yourself to take that extra effort. In my mind every unfriending over a rival ideology is similar to a plastic bottle thrown on a beautiful trek in the mountains. It just needs a little extra effort to hold on to that bottle till you walk back into civilization and find a bin. 
 
 
 I am going to close this article with a video of possibly the best example for this problem. It compares how <keyword id="6354484" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Donald-Trump">Donald Trump</keyword> and Barack Obama’s methodology of dealing with protesters. 
 
 
 
Don’t be like Trump. Don’t throw people with opposing ideas out of your life. Hear them out. Talk back, but don’t talk down. Just don’t add to the growing echo chambers.

Comedy Nights with Kapil (CNWK) When the likes of <keyword id="6354583" type="PERSON" weightage="40" keywordseo="Salman-Khan">Salman Khan</keyword> and Shah Rukh Khan want to promote their films on a show, it is obvious that the show is soaring high on popularity charts. CNWK has become one of the highest rated shows in non-fiction category in just six months since it has been aired on TV. Kapil Sharma opens the show with a comic skit, following which he interviews the stars who have come to promote their movies. Even the audience gets to interact with their fav stars here and that’s another plus. 
 
5. Koffee with Karan Here is India’s most watched celebrity chat show, currently running its fourth season. Hosted by producer-director <keyword id="3778" type="PERSON" weightage="40" keywordseo="Karan-Johar">Karan Johar</keyword>, the show started in 2004 and became an instant hit, thanks to the juiciest gossip that the stars doled out on the show. While the audience eagerly waits for the show, celebrities feel they have ‘arrived in Bollywood’ after gracing the coveted couch. The show has churned out many a controversy due to its no-holds-barred format where stars talk their hearts out.

Movers &amp; Shakers Long before the Kapil Sharmas and Krushna Abhisheks took over stand-up comedy in India, <keyword id="17186" type="PERSON" weightage="40" keywordseo="Shekhar-Suman">Shekhar Suman</keyword> was busy tickling our funny <keyword id="62532" type="ENTERTAINMENT" weightage="40" keywordseo="bones">bones</keyword> in his path-breaking talk show, Movers &amp; Shakers. During the show, he made fun of almost anyone – right from the top politicians of India to the biggest Bollywood stars. The comedy session was followed by a quick chat with a celebrity. The first season was aired in 1997. 
 
7. Seedhi Baat 
Another highly watched chat show on the Indian Telly, Seedhi Baat was initially hosted by Prabhu Chawla. The man was famous for inviting guests on his show and grilling them with his straight-to-the-point questions, hence the title Seedhi Baat. Chawla won many awards for hosting the show but post his resignation, M.J. Akbar took over.

From <keyword id="6354745" type="PERSON" weightage="40" keywordseo="jaya-bachchan">Jaya Bachchan</keyword> to Nita Ambani and Tanya Deol to Adhuna Akhtar, the sophisticated show had quite an impressive guest list! 
 
10. Satyamev Jayate 
Hosted by Aamir Khan, this chat show throws light on sensitive social issues such as child molestation, female foeticide, dowry, rape, medical malpractice and more. The first season premiered on May 6, 2012, and Season 2 is being aired now. Satyamev Jayate has hooked the masses by addressing critical issues that directly impact their lives.
