New Delhi, <keyword id="173881" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Bajaj-Hindusthan-Sugar" source="Orion">Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar</keyword> Ltd on Thursday reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 122.87 crore in the second quarter of this fiscal. Its net loss stood at Rs 162.37 crore in the year-ago period. Total income declined to Rs 1,163.30 crore in the July-September period of 2023-24 fiscal, from Rs 1,329.99 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year, according to a regulatory filing. Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar Ltd is India's leading sugar and ethanol manufacturing company. Part of the Bajaj Group (Kushagra), it is headquartered at Mumbai. The company has 14 sugar plants, all located in Uttar Pradesh.

Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar posts Rs 122.87 cr net loss in Sep 2023 quarter

New Delhi, Feb 10 () Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar, India's largest sugar manufacturer, on Monday said its net loss narrowed to Rs 46.35 crore on a consolidated basis during the third quarter of 2019-20 on the back of higher income. The company had reported a net loss of Rs 186.97 crore during the December quarter of 2018-19, the company said in a filing to the BSE. Net income increased to Rs 1,726.53 crore during the third quarter of current fiscal from Rs 1,693.89 crore in the year-ago period. However, the company's expenses in the said quarter remained lower at Rs 1,772.88 crore as against Rs 1,880.86 crore in the year-ago quarter. Bajaj Hindusthan has 14 sugar mills with cane crushing capacity of 1.36 lakh tonnes per day and alcohol distillation capacity of 800 kilolitre per day. The company's share fell 0.64 per cent to settle at Rs 6.23 a piece on the BSE. LUX RUJ

New Delhi, <keyword id="119741" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Bajaj-Electricals" source="Orion">Bajaj Electricals</keyword> Ltd on Monday reported a 56 per cent decline in consolidated net profit to Rs 27.28 crore for the September quarter on account of weak consumer demand. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 62 crore in the July-September period a year ago, according to a regulatory filing. Its net sales declined 3.76 per cent to Rs 1,107.40 crore in the second quarter of the current fiscal as against Rs 1,150.77 crore in the year-ago period. "The company has achieved a stable performance amidst a weak consumer demand sentiment," its chairman Shekhar Bajaj said in an earnings statement. Bajaj Electricals' total expenses in the September quarter rose 1.2 per cent to Rs 1,097.11 crore. Its revenue from consumer products fell 2.86 per cent to Rs 857.57 crore as against Rs 882.87 crore in the corresponding quarter in the preceding fiscal year. Similarly, revenue from the lighting solutions segment declined 7.42 per cent to Rs 255.25 crore in comparison to Rs 275.73 crore a year ago. "Consumer Products and Lighting Solutions revenues have contracted by 2.9 per cent and 7.4 per cent, respectively, for the quarter, due to demand slowdown and pricing constraints," the company said. For the September quarter, the company's total revenue from operations, which includes other operating income, stood at Rs 1,112.82 crore, down 3.95 per cent. Its total income in the reported quarter fell 1.81 per cent to Rs 1,142.26 crore. "Meanwhile, we continue to monitor the demand and continue to focus on our long-term strategic objectives with a continued push on new products and brand strengthening," the chairman said. The order book of Bajaj Electricals' was Rs 144 crore as of July 1, 2023, for Professional Lighting Projects. The EPC (Engineering Procurement &amp; Construction) segment has been demerged from September 1, 2023, and has a positive outlook for the future. Shares of Bajaj Electricals were trading marginally higher at Rs 1,042 apiece on the BSE.

Bajaj Electricals Q2 2023-24 profit decline by 56% to Rs 27.3 crore

fuel in vehicles. India is to register exports of around 4-6 million tonnes for (sugar 2022). Government plans 20% ethanol blending by 2025 in petrol, currently it is 10%. This measure will reduce the debt burden on farmers as a result sugar stocks are to grow,” said Dalmia. Sugar companies witness a sweet rally on ethanol excitement that may continue in 2022 as well

New Delhi, Jan 29 () Bajaj Finserv on Wednesday reported a 32 per cent rise in consolidated net profit at Rs 1,126 crore in third quarter of FY20.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 851 crore in the same period of 2018-19.
Total income rose 31 per cent at Rs 14,561 crore as against Rs 11,142 crore in year-ago period, Bajaj Finserv said in a release.
 Bajaj Finserv is the holding company for various financial services business of the Bajaj Group. 
The company holds 52.82 per cent stake in Bajaj Finance Ltd. It also holds 74 per cent stake in two unlisted insurance companies Bajaj Allianz General Insurance and Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance.
"Economic conditions in the quarter continued to be weak with GDP growth dropping to 4.5 per cent in Q2FY20. Weak consumer demand in some pockets, unseasonal rainfall and volatile bond markets also contributed to difficult market environment for our businesses," the company said.
Even as the economic conditions remained difficult, all the three businesses of Bajaj Finserv performed well and the company has been able to record significant increase in consolidated revenue and profit after tax.
Bajaj Finserv stock closed at Rs 9,902.25 on the BSE, up 2.77 per cent over previous close. KPM RUJ
