<keyword id="58448" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="reliance-retail" source="Orion">Reliance Retail</keyword> Ventures Limited (RRVL) on Thursday said it has entered into a Master Franchise agreement with 7-Eleven to run convenience stores in India. The first 7-Eleven store is set to open on Saturday, in Andheri East, Mumbai, RRVL, the retail arm of <keyword id="10926" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Reliance" source="Orion">Reliance</keyword> Industries Ltd, said. "RRVL, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, 7-India Convenience Retail Limited, has entered into a master franchise agreement with 7-Eleven, Inc (SEI) for the launch of 7-Eleven convenience stores in India," said a joint statement. This will be followed by a rapid rollout in key neighbourhoods and commercial areas, across the Greater Mumbai cluster to start with, a Reliance statement said. The development comes two days after Kishore Biyani-led Future Group firm Future Retail said that it has terminated its franchise agreement with the Dallas, US-based convenience stores operator brand 7-Eleven to operate the stores. The Kishore-Biyani-led firm had entered into an agreement with 7-Eleven for operating stores under the brand name in India on February 28, 2019. With the launch of 7-Eleven stores, RRVL as the country''s largest retailer takes a step further in its journey of offering a superior shopping experience and compelling value proposition for Indian customers. "The 7-Eleven stores aim to provide shoppers with a unique style of convenience, offering a range of beverages, snacks and delicacies specifically curated to appeal to local tastes, along with refill of daily essentials, having affordability and hygiene at its very core," said RRVL. A rapid expansion plan is on the anvil, and SEI will also support RRVL in implementing and localising the unique 7-Eleven convenience retail business model for India, including bringing best in class processes and practices. Investing in IPOs is far more complicated than placing a trade to buy stock, according to research conducted by <a href="https://www.fidelity.com/learning-center/trading-investing/trading/ipo-share-allocation-process" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Fidelity</a>.A big part of that is because IPOs are typically run by investment banks such as Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and Bank of America. A bank usually allocates 90% of the available shares to institutional investors, such as pension funds and hedge funds. Retail investors who who have brokerage accounts with the firm are allotted the remaining 10%.Further, all retail investors seeking to get in before an IPO must meet brokerage requirements of minimum investable assets as well as answer Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) questions about investment style and risk tolerance.Once those requirements are met, those investors must review the company's prospectus - which lays out the risks of the investment - before indicating the maximum number of shares they wish to purchase. The day before an IPO begins trading, investors are given confirmation of their share allocations as well as pricing of the issue. SEBI, in three separate notifications, has brought in new norms amid growing concerns about the potential risk associated with such <keyword id="21258588" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="finfluencers" source="keywords">finfluencers</keyword>. SEBI's board had approved the <keyword id="20306338" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="new-regulations" source="keywords">new regulations</keyword> in a proposal last month. <h2>What are the new regulations for finfluencers?</h2>As per the new regulations, SEBI-regulated entities and their agents are restricted from engaging in financial transactions, client referrals or interaction of information technology systems with any other person who, directly or indirectly, provides advice, recommendations or makes explicit claims of return. No person regulated by the Board (SEBI) or the agent of such a person shall have any direct or indirect association with another person who provides advice or any recommendation, directly or indirectly, in respect of or related to a security or securities, unless the person is registered with or otherwise permitted by the Board to provide such advice or recommendation; or makes any claim, of returns or performance expressly or impliedly, in respect of or related to a security or securities, unless the person has been permitted by the Board to make such a claim," SEBI said. SEBI has revised the regulations governing depository participants, intermediaries, and securities contracts. This will prevent mutual fund houses, registered investment advisors (RIA) and stock brokers from partnering with such influencers. SEBI has however allowed an exception for a limiter period for investor education partnerships. In such partnerships, finfluencers will not be allowed to offer recommendations or make claims about returns or financial performance. The new norms have been introduced to protect retail investors who get easily influenced by such entities offering biased or misleading information to earn a commission. SEBI brings in new norms to regulate finfluencers

The price of S-Presso LXI Petrol has been reduced by Rs 2,000 and the price of Alto K10 VXI Petrol has been reduced by Rs 6,500, the auto major said in a regulatory filing. The Alto K10 range is priced from Rs 3.99 lakh and Rs 5.96 lakh while the S-Presso trims are tagged between Rs 4.26 lakh and Rs 6.11 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). In August, sales of the company's mini segment cars, comprising Alto and S-Presso, declined to 10,648 units last month as against 12,209 units a year ago. The reduction in prices might be aimed at boosting sales ahead of the festive season. As per reports, dealers currently have a huge amount of inventory. Maruti Suzuki cuts prices of select trims of Alto K10, S-Presso

"We will try to convince all the finance ministers. Yesterday I had the opportunity to discuss with the finance minister of Maharashtra and I told him, you please go to the meeting and put up this proposal for reducing GST up to 12 per cent on flex engines, cars, and scooters," he said. Addressing IFGE's India Bio-Energy and Tech Expo in New Delhi, the Union Minister added that factors such as economic viability, proven technology, availability of raw material, and marketability of the finished product are in favour of the development of these engines. Gadkari said that developing flex-fuel engines is the target of the government, and we have the "proven technology" to make it possible. "I feel that now the flex fuel is very, very important. Already the managing director of Tata, Suzuki and Toyota, they have decided to start flex engine car in the country," the Union Minister stated. Gadkari added, "So the flex engine is the ultimate target. As far as the market is concerned, there is huge potential. Everywhere, as far as a comparison between fossil fuel and <keyword id="20228373" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="biofuel" source="keywords">biofuel</keyword>, in the Indian scenario, the cost of biofuel is less and there is no pollution. So that is the important reason that it is going to be advantageous to the common man also," the Minister stated. NO SUCCESS IN SHOOTING RANGE After the high of four medals in two days, there was disappointment in store for India in the shooting range with Lekhara failing to qualify for the final following a 11th-place finish in the mixed 10m air rifle prone (SH1) qualification in which Sidhartha Babu ended 28th. In the mixed 10m air rifle prone (SH2) qualification, Sriharsha Devaraddi Ramakrishna ended in 26th place with a total of 630.2. In the Paralympics mixed event, both men and women compete on the line against each other. Coming off her historic gold medal in the 10m air rifle standing SH1 event, Lekhara ended the competition with a total of 632.8. Lekhara's sequence of scores read 105.7, 106.0, 104.1, 106.0, 104.8, 106.2, while Sidhartha had scores of 104.6, 103.8, 105.7, 104.9, 103.6, 105.7. In SH1, athletes are able to hold their gun without difficulty and shoot from a standing or sitting position (in a wheelchair or chair). Sidhartha aggregated 628.3 across six series. Athletes classified in SH2 category are unable to hold their rifle independently, so they use a stand, but can aim by themselves and control the weapon when they shoot. Certain athletes may have an assistant to reload their gun. Only the top eight from qualification progress to the final. RAKESH SHINES World No 1 archer Rakesh Kumar overcame a blip to defeat Ken Swagumilang of Indonesia in the shoot-off and enter his successive Paralympics quarterfinals in the compound men open category. Rakesh held his slender one-point lead and needed a 9-point to seal the issue in five ends. But he slipped with an 8-pointer red-ring, leaving both the archers locked at 144-144 after regulation five ends comprising 15 arrows. In the shoot-off, the 39-year-old veteran held his nerve to shoot a perfect 10, while Ken managed an 8.
