"Malls are not functioning, shops are not working, considering the situation, cinema is the last thing people want to go to. In such a scenario, the film has earned ₹17.5-₹18 crore and it is overwhelming. Even if we had made ₹7 to ₹8 crore then also it would have been good. It is the biggest opening of the year till now. We had expected much more but you can't fight almighty and nature," Khan told PTI. Khan is happy with whatever the film is earning however he believes the film would have raked in ₹30 crore on day one if the circumstances were normal. Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 3 which earned ₹53 crore could have run better without coronavirus scare says director

Thanks to the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Grew-up-admiring-Hrithik-Roshan-for-his-fitness-Tiger-Shroff/articleshow/48955049.cms">trained martial artist </a>that Shroff is, we saw him doing some really great action in that movie. It’s been two years since his debut, and even though newcomers usually don’t wait for that a long, we were convinced that there must be something about <keyword id="2134292" type="ENTERTAINMENT" weightage="100" keywordseo="Baaghi">Baaghi</keyword> that Tiger was willing to take that risk. 
 
With the trailer of Baaghi out on the birthday of Shroff’s idol Aamir Khan yesterday, we are convinced that Tiger was right to have waited this long. 
 The trailer starts with <keyword id="89958" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Shraddha-Kapoor">Shraddha Kapoor</keyword> narrating her life as Sia, and how she meets and falls in love with Ronny, played by Tiger. Both are rebels in their own right, but then comes the antagonist Raghav (Sudheer Babu), who shoots Ronny while claiming to love Sia more than anything. 
 
Ronny recuperates, learns some more martial arts (like that’s possible) and comes back to ‘literally’ break bones, bang people’s heads in poles, push them into bricked walls while showing off his killer moves, and the trailer even counts the number of people he hits in those 3 minutes. 
The action is obviously a notch higher than <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Box-Office-Kochadaiiyaan-Thrives-On-Rajini-Power-Heropanti-Soaring-High/articleshow/35710189.cms">Heropanti</a>, even more because while in the first film only Tiger did the stunts, this time, the leading lady <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Shraddha-Kapoor-Turns-25-A-Look-At-Her-Bollywood-Journey-So-Far/articleshow/46441960.cms">Shraddha</a> has also managed to give kickass action scenes.

However, there is one thing that is pricking me, and I hope that others too find it disturbing to the core. The makers, in this 3-minute long trailer, have told everything that there was to know about the movie. We know that Sia and Ronny would meet, fall in love, he would be shot and considered dead by Raghav, and would return to kill him. Whatever happened to the good old ‘let’s keep something hidden from viewers’ philosophy? Why would people, who have no such interest in action sequence, go and watch this movie when they know the entire plot, and the little action that they need is shown in abundance in the trailer, remember 114 ‘body counts’? 
 
Directed by Heropanti fame <keyword id="616900" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Sabbir-Khan">Sabbir Khan</keyword>, the movie releases on April 29th.

The song is called <keyword id="2811175" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Sab-Tera">Sab Tera</keyword> and sees Shraddha and Tiger dancing in rain, swimming in the beautiful Krabi Sea, romancing on the desolate Krabi Island, and ending the song with a passionate kiss. 
 
Thankfully though, unlike his first movie Heropanti, this movie doesn’t have dancing scenes only from Tiger Shroff; even Shraddha Kapoor has danced to the wonderful music by Amaal Mallik.

You are one of the fittest actors in the industry. What is your fitness regime? 
Ever since the beginning of my passion for physical strength, I have believed in holistic fitness. My focus is not only on building muscles, but on wholesome fitness, interior as well as exterior. Flexibility is very important for me because I like to dance and do a lot of action sequences to keep my body more fluid. So, my regime includes a lot of cardio activity and flexibility work, like dance, martial arts, and gymnastics. 
 
Any specific diet plan that you follow for this? 
When I am shooting, I don’t take carbohydrates; it’s only protein and vegetables. This is because I am trying to look as lean as I can, for my upcoming role as a superhero. So, quoting HRX here, it’s about pushing your extreme. 
 
Talking of the brand HRX, Hrithik has been and still is the uncrowned fitness king ever since his <keyword id="143" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Bollywood">Bollywood</keyword> debut. So, did you grow up idolizing him, wanting to be an actor? 
I never thought of acting. While growing up, I was always into sports. In fact, I was a very good football player, but football at that time was not a very popular career option. That being said, I have been blessed to have been getting offers from Bollywood ever since I was a child, so after graduating, when I was offered Heropanti, I thought why not. I took it as an offer to show off my talent to the world. 
 
About Hrithik, did you grow up idolizing him? 
I remember watching Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai when I was in school, so allow me to say that it was love at first sight for me. There is one thing about me that I don’t get star struck, I am not impressed or awed easily but when I look at Hrithik sir performing, he binds you in a manner that you can’t look away from him. Someday, I hope of achieving at least 50% of what he has. He is my inspiration when he comes of fitness and discipline. 
 
Your father, Mr. <keyword id="297" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Jackie-Shroff">Jackie Shroff</keyword>, is a very popular hero in Bollywood. What are the four most valuable lessons you’ve learnt from him? 
I think the qualities I learned from him are being down to earth, to remember your roots, to think before you speak and to respect anyone, not only the co-actors or director but also the light man and spot boys. One thing that I can easily say is that my father has earned respect in his profession and nobody has ever said anything bad about him, that’s the level of goodwill that he has. I am really blessed to call him my father. 
 
Whom do you consider your mentor, other than your father? 
I consider Sajid Nadiadwala (producer, Heropanti) to be my mentor. Along with him, Sabbir Khan and Sanjeev Datta, the director and writer of Heropanti, have played a huge role in my Bollywood journey. 
 
When you are not acting, how do you unwind? 
I love to spend time dancing; there is just so much of energy in me that I have to channelize it into dancing and other physical activities. 
 
Tell us your favorite activities that your fans don’t know about. 
I eat ice-cream or chocolate when I am not doing any physical activity. However, people don’t see me doing that because I do it when I am alone, because being the ambassador of a fitness brand, this is surely not one of the best things that I can do. 
 
Tell us a peculiar habit that no one knows about and why you do it. 
I think that would be biting. In fact, that’s how I got the name Tiger, because I used to bite people as a kid. Why I do it, I don’t know, it’s just a habit. Whenever I am hungry, angry, or thinking, I need to bite something. Thankfully, I don’t bite people now, just things. 
 
Do you like reading books? Which are your favourite ones? 
I love reading autobiographies of famous people, who inspire me, whom I want to be like. I like to read about them, and know how they made it big. I like to make connections with them, and autobiographies are the best way to do that. Moonwalk by Michael Jackson would be my favourite book. 
 
Can you tell us about an incident that inspired you the most and how it impacted your life? 
That’s a very difficult question because I have so many of such incidents that inspire me. To quote one, I think it would be the moment when I won my first award for Heropanti. It inspired me to work harder and push myself, because I always feel like I have got more than I deserve. Whenever I walk out of my house, the love and acceptance that I get, it all inspires me to work harder and give it back to them in the form of entertainment.

First of all, it had few hits that enthused the public like Baaghi 3 or Angreji Medium. As <keyword id="1754604" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="coronavirus">Coronavirus</keyword> spreads, halls across many cities shut down as per government orders. The management of theatres are now busy calculating the losses as 5,000 screens across the country are shut and even those that are open have nothing to bring people to as March and April releases like Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi and Ranveer Singh’s 83 have been postponed indefinitely. The halls are losing ₹150 crore a week, <a href="https://www.exchange4media.com/marketing-news/coronavirus-bears-down-on-bollywood-with-no-ticket-sale-hiked-marketing-budget-103373.html">according to Shailesh Kapoor, CEO, Ormax Media. </a> The effect might be temporary says PVR Cinemas and Inox PVR cinemas, which has 822 screens in 69 cities, says the effect may be temporary and they look forward to better times. INOX, which has 624 screens in 68 cities too is confident about their growth as the lockdown lifts. But the investors do not share their confidence. PVR has witnessed a 43% decline in its decline in the last one month. Whereas the share price of INOX saw a 39% fall between February 18 and March 18.

Cinema halls in India might remain shut for at least a month more until June end, according to a report by Prabhdas Lilladher. The coronavirus pandemic forced several states including Maharashtra and Kerala to close theatres a week before India announced a complete lockdown on March 24. It means they are already shut for 40 days which might extend to 60 days more. “The process of reopening will be gradual in nature. For instance, in some states where the COVID-19 risk is low theatres may open. However, till the time this rise resides completely, big-ticket releases may be postponed as producers may not want to lose out on business in other regions,” said the report. Every week that theatres remain closed, they’re accumulating losses to the tune of ₹150 crore, according to Shailesh Kapoor, CEO Ormax Media. Due to this bleak outlook, the stocks of PVR Cinemas and INOX are on a free fall. The stock of PVT saw a 55% decline in its share between February 19 and April 27. Already fraught with hygiene and maintenance challenges which were hurting footfalls, COVID-19 induced lockdown has posed a direct threat on their survival,” said the report.
