Here's how to check BSNL Mobile balance

New Delhi, Nov 30 () All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC) on Saturday demanded that the government should send the Industrial Relations Code Bill to a parliamentary standing committee before passing it hurriedly.
Labour Minister Santosh Gangwar introduced the bill in the Lok Sabha on Thursday amid protest by the opposition parties.
"AITUC demands that the bill be referred to the Parliamentary Committee on Labour, where the trade unions should be heard, before passing it hurriedly, as done with the Code on Wages," the union said in a statement.
It said that all the changes that the government was trying to bring in under the guise of amalgamating 44 labour laws, either take away the existing rights of the workers, or make them more stringent for the workers, and they
have been unanimously opposed by all the Central Trade Unions in India.
"But the government has simply ignored the view point of the trade unions," it said.
It is obvious that the government is acting at the behest of their corporate masters, it said.
"This kind of ease of doing business is no way to get the sluggish economy moving. What is required is to urgently put money in the hands of the workers, by strengthening MNREGA...," it added.
RSS-affiliate Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) too has demanded that the government should send the Industrial Relations Code Bill to a parliamentary standing committee for a redraft as certain provisions are against the interest of workers.
In a separate statement, AITUC made a very strong objection to the statement of Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad that the contractual workers in BSNL and MTNL should fend for themselves as they are on the rolls of the contractors and not on that of the BSNL and MTNL.
The reply of the minister in Rajya Sabha on November 28 "smacks of arrogance and is made in utter disregard to the laws of the land". RR BAL

Robert was able to get his hands on the names of all the employees by gaining access to BSNL’s intranet by using a malicious code. Through that, he was able to attain their personal information like cell phone numbers, dates of birth, salaries and compensation.  A <a href="https://telecom.economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/over-53000-cyber-security-incidents-observed-in-2017/62852357">report</a> by the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) shows that in 2017 alone, there were a whopping 53,081 cyber security incidents. The National Crime Record Bureau (NCRB) has reported that there have been a total of 12,317 cyber crime cases registered in 2016. As of now, India doesn’t have any laws that explicitly address data protection or privacy. Even the Indian Constitution doesn’t unequivocally grant the “right to privacy.” The <a href="http://www.dot.gov.in/sites/default/files/itbill2000_0.pdf">Indian IT Act 2000</a> does cover civil and criminal penalties for disclosure and misuse of personal data, but has largely been <a href="https://indiankanoon.org/doc/76191164/">negligent</a> in implementing their policies and maintaining a reasonable environment of security. This has resulted in criminals taking advantage of loopholes in the system. BSNL isn’t alone With respect to mobile service provides, Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel have also faced scrutiny for not being diligent about their security practices. BSNL revealed a customer's private data on Twitter to answer query

Thanks to the Indian government’s new move, Indian citizens might soon be able to validate the credentials of drivers and domestic helps using their <keyword id="6356006" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Aadhaar-card">Aadhaar card</keyword> numbers, before they hire them. 
 
The government is planning to widen the scope of the Aadhaar authentication system. As of now, it has been restricted to banks and a few government departments, but soon, it would be open to individuals and private companies. In doing so, all privacy concerns would be addressed by using a more secure method. 
 
In exchange of a small fee, anyone would be able to use the unique identity number and verify the details of others. This would be allowed to done online in real time, unlike many other identity documents such as voter, ration and PAN cards. This would also allow companies to authenticate the records of their consumers and staff. 
 Unique Identification Authority of India (<keyword id="6355252" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="UIDAI">UIDAI</keyword>) is looking forward to appointing third-party agencies to carry out the authentication on behalf of individuals and companies. 
 
"Various use-cases can be built using the Aadhaar authentication service, especially by startups who have been requesting for access," an official told ET on the condition of anonymity. 
 
The move has come after Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently commanding to expand the use of Aadhaar. 
 As far as privacy is concerned , the new authentication system will function differently from eKYC norms, the current norms used by government departments and banks. This allows user agencies to enter the <keyword id="485058" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Aadhaar-number">Aadhaar number</keyword> and biometrics of a person after which the UIDAI server provides the name, address and other details, to be stored by the agencies. 
 
When the service will be extended to private companies and citizens, only the bar code on the Aadhaar letter will have to be scanned and the data it contains will be sent to the Aadhaar database for verification, to return either with a ‘yes’ or a ‘no’. 
 
"This will be most secure way of authentication since there will be no transfer of any citizen data through the UID database," the official said. 
As per UIDAI data, there are about 330 authentication user agencies and over 111 crore transactions have been handled since the service started. About 20 companies have so far signed up for the Aadhaar authentication service, which include telecom service providers like Bharti Airtel, Vodafone and state-owned BSNL, as well as financial services firms such as MasterCard and Visa.
