 Tork Motorcycles it currently committed to setting up at least 100 charging stations in Delhi, Pune, and <keyword id="6354321" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Bengaluru">Bengaluru</keyword>. 
 
Priced at Rs 1.25 lakh, the T6X electric bike received over 1,000 pre-bookings within 24 hours of its launch last month. The deliveries will be commenced by next year only after the production picks up pace. 
 
The immense power of electric bike comes from a DC 6kW (8bhp) electric motor with a pack of lithium batteries which are imported. 
 
On a single charge, this motorcycle can run up to 100 km and offer a top speed of 100kmph which is a feat in itself. 
 
The company claims that the Tork T6X electric motorcycle is no less than any 125cc bike on Indian roads today. 
 
The bike has decent storage space, has fully digital touch dashboard, is anti-theft , enables mobile charging, mobile app support, Geo-fencing, quick charge and onboard navigation and GPS, all rolled into one. <ul><li><keyword id="25952" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Mercedes-Benz">Mercedes-Benz</keyword> India on Friday said it remained the market leader in the domestic luxury car segment for the fifth straight year in 2019.</li><li>In the December quarter, the Pune-based company clocked sales growth of 3.3 per cent, selling 3,781 unit.</li><li>Rival <keyword id="6355119" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="bmw">BMW</keyword> saw its volumes dip 13.8 per cent to 9,641 units in 2019 from 11,105 units in 2018.</li></ul>Mercedes-Benz India on Friday said it remained the market leader in the domestic luxury car segment for the fifth straight year in 2019, selling 13,786 units.
 However, this was 12.7 per cent lower from 2018, when it had sold 15,538 units.
 In the December quarter, the Pune-based company clocked sales growth of 3.3 per cent, selling 3,781 units -- its highest ever quarterly volume, it said in a statement.
 The company also sounded bullish about 2020 and said it will continue with its product offensive, which will begin with the launch of an all-new GLE on January 28.
 The company said it could maintain its pole position on the back of a record 54 per cent growth in its performance vehicles segment led by the CLA, GLA and GLS models, whose new generation variants will be available from Q2 of 2020.
 Mercedes will also be the first luxury car maker to completely transition into BS-VI portfolio with petrol and diesel models shortly.
 "Amidst strong macroeconomic headwinds, our volumes in Q4 also grew by 15.41 percent from Q3 2019, taking the overall volume to 13,786 units in 2019, down 12.7 percent from 2018," the company said.
 Against this, rival BMW saw its volumes dip 13.8 per cent to 9,641 units in 2019 from 11,105 units in 2018. The German carmaker despatched 9,000 BMWs and 641 Minis in the year. Besides, its two-wheeler brand BMW Motorrad sold 2,403 motorcycles last year.
 The third German player Audi is yet to disclose its sales numbers.
 Mercedes-Benz India Managing Director and Chief Executive Martin Schwenk said, "We are satisfied with our performance in 2019 despite facing strong macroeconomic headwinds, specifically in the first three quarters. We were able to positively influence customer sentiment with our solutions and achieved the new best ever Q4."
 The year 2020 is going to be another important year for the firm and it continues to be optimistic about mid- to long-term prospects, he added.
 The company had an overwhelming response to its entire BS-IV portfolio and it is now ready with the all-new BS-VI range, ahead of the deadline, he said.
 This year the market will witness a strong product offensive from Mercedes-Benz, beginning with the new GLE, followed by some of the most significant product introductions from its global portfolio, including those without any predecessors, Schwenk said. Mercedes remains India's top luxury car maker for the fifth year in a row

New delhi, Apr 15 ( BMW Group India on Wednesday pledged Rs 3 crore for the ongoing battle against the coronavirus pandemic. The company said it has partnered with government and non-government organisations for on-ground implementation in Delhi-NCR and Chennai. It will also participate in setting up an isolation ward for COVID-19 patients at the government hospital in Chengalpattu, near its Chennai plant, BMW Group India said in a statement.Further, critical care equipment and services will be provided for medical facilities in Delhi-NCR and Chennai, while personal protection equipment will be provided for frontline medical personnel and law enforcement agencies in the two locations, it added."The coronavirus pandemic presents a mammoth challenge to public health, industry, economy and business. Responsible action and sincere efforts are immensely crucial for minimising impact on human life, providing immediate relief to the underprivileged and reinforcing those engaged at the frontline of this crisis," BMW Group India President and CEO Rudratej Singh said. Stating that the need of the hour is to flatten the curve of coronavirus infections, and ensure social distancing, he said,"It is a top priority and responsibility that we are taking very seriously...The resolve and commitment of our employees and dealer partners across India to fight this unprecedented threat to mankind is strong and undeterred. We will remain resilient and responsive."Employees of BMW Group India, BMW Group Plant Chennai and BMW India Financial Services voluntarily contributed towards the cause, the company said. It said work-from-home has been implemented across BMW Group offices in India. Local production at BMW Group Plant Chennai has been stopped till May 3, 2020 following the extension of the lockdown although essential services such as security, facility management and health centre continue to operate. Across the BMW, MINI and BMW Motorrad dealerships in India, staff are working from home to offer services to customers, it said adding aftersales and breakdown services staff are operating as per the local government directives and are functional with limitations. BMW Group India pledges Rs 3 cr for battle against COVID-19

New Delhi, Jan 8 () German car maker BMW on Wednesday reported 13.8 per cent dip in its sales at 9,641 units in India last year as compared with 11,105 units in 2018.
 The luxury automaker despatched 9,000 BMW and 641 Mini units in 2019.
 Besides, BMW Motorrad sold 2,403 motorcycles last year.
 "2019 was not an easy year for the Indian automotive industry as various macroeconomic and structural conditions shook its foundations," BMW Group India President and CEO Rudratej Singh said in a statement.
 BMW Group India, however, stood its ground in this fierce environment with a slew of new products and very aspirational and desirable brands, he added.
 "We successfully initiated new consumers to come into the segment with the BMW 3 Series and the BMW X1. At the same time, we created a clear path for upgrade for segment users with the BMW X5, the BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo and the BMW 7 Series," Singh said.
 The company has a healthy order book for the BMW X7 which is sold out for months, he added.
 "Though the industry is still facing difficult times, we are well prepared for 2020. We will always be competitive by remaining focused on our customers," Singh said.
 The company said last year it witnessed over 50 per cent sales come from the locally-produced sports activity vehicle (SAV) range, including BMW X5, BMW X3 and BMW X1.
 A strong contribution also came from BMW 5 Series and BMW 3 Series, it added.
 Similarly, MINI hatchback and the locally-produced MINI Countryman together commanded a share of over 70 per cent in Mini India sales, the German carmaker said. MSS
