The <keyword id="15743124" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="BMW-CE-04" source="Orion">BMW CE 04</keyword>, priced more than the base variant of the<a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/business/auto/news/tata-nexon-new-ev-facelift-introduced-revamped-design-up-to-465-km-range-and-more/slidelist/103498973.cms"> Tata Nexon EV</a> is the first electric scooter from the company to debut in India.<br /><br />The BMW CE 04, which is being brought under the CBU (Completely Built Unit) route will be available starting September 2024. The scooter was first showcased in India in December 2022 and has finally been launched in India.<br /><br /><h2>BMW CE 04 price and availability</h2>The BMW CE 04 has been priced at ₹14.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).<br /><br />The bookings for the <keyword id="16691443" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="premium-electric-scooter" source="Orion">premium electric scooter</keyword> are now open and the deliveries will begin in September 2024. The scooter is available in two colour options – Blue and White.<br /><br /><h2><keyword id="22530637" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="BMW-CE-04-features" source="Orion">BMW CE 04 features</keyword></h2>The BMW CE 04 comes with a futuristic look and features a boxy design. It features 15-inch wheels, which will offer a comparatively comfortable ride on Indian roads. With a kerb weight of 231 kg, the CE 04 is on the heavier side.<br /><br /><div type="Article" hostid="261" msid="111962490" title="Budget 2024 – Customs duty on mobile phones, chargers and more reduced" mstype="2" mssubtype="0"></div><br />The BMW CE 04 is equipped with a 15kW permanent-magnet liquid-cooled synchronous motor that can churn out 31kW of power and 62Nm of peak torque. The scooter can go from 0 to 50 in just 2.6 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 120 km per hour.<br /><br />Powering the BMW CE 04 is an 8.5 kWh battery that is claimed to offer a range of 130 km. The scooter is offered with two chargers – a 2.3kW charger that can fully charge the scooter in 4 hours and 20 minutes and a more expensive 6.9kW charger that can fully charge the scooter in 1 hour and 40 minutes.<br /><br />The BMW CE 04 comes with a 10.25-inch TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation support. It offers three riding modes – Eco, Rain and Road. It offers traction control and Automatic Stability Control. BMW CE 04 electric scooter launched in India priced at ₹14.90 lakh

<p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table float_right"><div><div class="image on-image"><img src="https://static-ssl.businessinsider.com/image/59a48cd06eac400d4a8b4730-1514/p90273553highres.jpg" alt="BMW i3s" data-mce-source="BMW" /><p class="source"><span>BMW</span></p><p class="caption">The new 2018 BMW i3s.</p></div><p></p></div></div>Since its debut in 2014, the i3 has been a quirky and slightly off beat eco-friendly option in BMW's performance oriented lineup.</p><p>Now the little electric car is getting an added dose of muscle to go along with its BMW badge.</p><p>That's because, for 2018, BMW is finally giving the i3 a sports edition called the i3s.</p><p>Powering the i3s will be a more potent 184 horsepower electric motor, up from the 170 found in the standard i3.</p><p>The upgraded performance drive system is designed for enhanced power delivery when the motor is spinning at the high end of its rev band. Running purely on the battery, the i3s has an effective range of 97 miles. The ceremony will continue for 6 km towards the west, passing through landmarks such as Notre Dame and the Louvre. The bank projects that, in 2025, vehicles with internal combustion engines will comprise 69.6% of the global light vehicle market, with full and mild hybrids taking 22.8% of the market, plug-in hybrids taking 1.4%, and fully-electric vehicles taking 6.3%.</p><p>If JPMorgan is correct, both hybrid and fully-electric vehicle adoption will experience significant growth in the next seven years, but hybrids will grow at a faster rate. Ryan Brinkman, an automotive equity research analyst at JPMorgan and one of the report's co-authors, told Business Insider via email that while hybrids are less efficient than fully-electric vehicles, they have a major cost advantage that should continue through 2025.</p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">That's true on a global scale, but some governments provide incentives that help to level the playing field between hybrid and fully-electric vehicles. China offers <a href="https://www.eesi.org/articles/view/comparing-u.s.-and-chinese-electric-vehicle-policies">tax breaks and subsidies</a> for fully-electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles, but not for mild or full hybrids. JPMorgan projects that in 2025, fully-electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles will account for 12% of China's total auto sales, while full and mild hybrids will account for just 2%.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">But in the United States, the Trump Administration has said it will <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/ap-trump-team-wants-to-roll-back-obama-era-mileage-standards-2018-8">roll back</a> fuel economy standards, which means automakers will face less immediate pressure to make their fleets more efficient. As a result, they'll be able to lean more heavily on hybrids to meet those standards, Brinkman said.
