Tata Motors The luxury vehicle arm of Tata Motors, JLR, reported a 15.5% year-on-year decline to 28,887 units in its global retail volumes for August. New Delhi, Mar 2 () State-owned construction firm NBCC (India) on Monday said it has bagged an order worth 64.83 crore from Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited (BHEL) in Jharkhand. In a filing to BSE, NBCC said it will execute this project on engineering, procurement and construction mode. "This is to inform that NBCC (India) Limited has received an order from BHEL for construction of... reinforced concrete single steel flue chimney with borosilicate glass block lining system of 660 MW each (3 numbers) at North Karanapura STPP, Jharkhand," the company said. The total project cost is Rs 64.83 crore, NBCC said. Shares of the company were trading 3.03 per cent higher from their previous close at Rs 27.20 apiece on BSE. ABI ANSANS

NBCC bags order worth Rs 65 cr from BHEL

The bulls made a strong come back on Thursday as traders scrambled to cover short positions on the last day of the monthly derivatives expiry as global markets staged a classic recovery after 7 days of relentless selling. 
 The <keyword id="6354813" type="COMPANY" weightage="80" keywordseo="nifty">Nifty</keyword> added 74 points, or 1 percent, to 7,866 on expiry day with 40 shares advancing to 10 that fell, pointing to a sharp bounce back in early deals. Cairn, HDFC, Bank of Baroda, GAIL and Bharti Airtel were the top gainers on the Index while BHEL, ACC, UltraTech, NMDC and Tata Motors fell. HDFC was the top traded counter on the Nifty, with 116 crore rupees worth of shares traded. 
 
Broader indices such as the CNX 100, CNX 200, CNX 500 and CNX Nifty Junior, CNX Mid Cap and CNX Small Cap gained between 1.2-2.1 percent, indicating a broader set up for the bulls. 
 
The sectoral indices were on a strong footing with the Bank Nifty jumping 1.3 percent, or 222 points, to 17,139. Gains were seen across the board with CNX PSU Bank, CNX Realty and CNX Finance Indices putting a strong foot upfront. 
 And on the Bombay Stock Exchange, the <keyword id="6484188" type="CITY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Sensex">Sensex</keyword> jumped a percent higher to 25,965 points in early deals. HDFC, Vedanta, Lupin and Bharti Airtel were the top gainers on the Index while BHEL, Tata Motors and TCS remained weak. The Advance-Decline Ratio was a strong 24/6. Axis Bank and L&amp;T were the two top traded <keyword id="6354298" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="80" keywordseo="stocks">stocks</keyword> on the Index. 
 
Short covering in the wider market helped the broader Advance-Decline Ratio where 1,169 shares gained versus 213 that lost ground. 
 Bulls were in command of the futures and options space with 152 futures advancing compared with just 9 that fall. All 18 sectors showed strong positive traction. HDIL, IB Real Estate, Cairn and HDFC were the top gaining futures while ACC, BHEL, TCS and Bajaj Auto lost ground in the derivatives space. <keyword id="6355199" type="CITY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Reliance-Industries">Reliance Industries</keyword> and <keyword id="45660" type="CITY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Yes-Bank">Yes Bank</keyword> were the top traded futures. 
 
Jain Studios, Ramco Cements and Bombay Dyeing made it to the top volume buzzers list. La Opala, 8K Miles and Jubilant Industries made it to the 52-week highs list.

New Delhi, Jan 8 () Steel workers' body SWFI on Wednesday condemned the government's decision to divest equity shares of six PSUs, including MMTC, in Neelachal Ispat Nigam Ltd (NINL).
 The Cabinet on Wedesday approved divestment of some shares of MMTC, National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC), Bharat Heavy Electrical Ltd (BHEL), Odisha Mining Corporation, Odisha Investment Corporation and MECON in Neelachal Ispat.
 "We strongly condemn the decision," Steel Workers Federation of India (SWFI) Working President P K Das said while reacting to the development.
 He said his organisation opposes sale of any public sector unit be it steel or any other sector.
 Referring to the stressed steel assets which had to undergo NCLT proceedings, he said it must to be noted that no private sector could run their steel plant well.
 "In private sector, Bhushan Steel plant was sold after becoming bankrupt. Adhunik Steel is closed. Today hundreds of steel plants are closed in private sector, but public sector PSUs including NMDC, RINL are doing well and government wants to sell which is doing well," he said and most of the "entities in private sector are sick, bankrupt or sold."
 He further said that SWFI workers will go on strike if the government considers a decision like today's with RINL and NMDC.
 The government must note one thing that there are no buyers in the market, no one wants to invest any amount due to the financial crunch in market.
 In his reaction, Jayanta Roy who is senior vice-president and group head (corporate sector ratings) at ICRA, said. " The proposed sale would have a number of attractions to the strategic investor in the form of a captive iron ore mine which is under development, and a locational advantage of being in Odisha and in proximity to ports. On the other hand, the company may benefit in terms of private sector efficiencies if an experienced player is brought in."
 NINL is a joint venture company, in which four central PSUs -- MMTC, National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC), Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) and MECON -- and two Odisha government companies IPICOL and Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) are shareholders.
 MMTC holds 49.78 per cent share in NINL, followed by OMC (20.47 per cent), IPICOL (12 per cent), NMDC (10.10 per cent), while MECON and BHEL hold 0.68 per cent each. ABI MKJ

NMDC The state-owned NMDC reported over 54% fall in its net profit to ₹531.35 crore in the first quarter ended June 30, mainly on account of lower income due to COVID-19. The shares of NMDC ended nearly 1% higher on Thursday. Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) The offer for sale (OFS) of Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) was oversubscribed 1.6 times by non-retail investors. The government has decided to exercise the “green shoe” option. The “green shoe” refers to the option of over-allotment of shares. The shares of HAL ended nearly 14% lower on Thursday. Defence stocks in focus Other defence stocks like Bharat Forge, BHEL and Bharat Electronics will also be in focus today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi stressed on the need for Atma Nirbhar Bharat in the defence sector. Some of the highlights from commentary include - opening up the foreign direct investment till 74% through automatic route, and expanding the list for defence imports. IDFC Bank IDFC Bank reported a consolidated net loss of ₹26.46 crore for the quarter ended June 30. The consolidated total income fell to ₹103.99 crore during the period, as against ₹133.04 crore in the same quarter last year. The shares of IDFC ended nearly 2% lower on Thursday. Allcargo Logistics The board of directors of Allcargo Logistics considered voluntary delisting of shares proposal in a meeting yesterday. The company has appointed Inga Ventures as a merchant banker. The company in a stock-exchange filing said the board would meet again to discuss the delisting proposal in detail, after receipt of the due diligence report from the Merchant Banker. The shares of Allcargo Logistics ended nearly 4% lower on Thursday. GMR Infra GMR Infrastructure has decided to restructure its business. In a 'scheme of arrangement' involving vertical split demerger of the non-airport business — these include energy, urban infrastructure and EPC services - will be split into GPUIL. The airport business will be listed separately. The shares of GMR Infra ended 0.19% higher on Thursday.

New Delhi, Jan 22 () Power Mech Projects on Wednesday announced that it has bagged orders worth Rs 351 crore from state-owned Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) and Jaiprakash Power Ventures.
 In a filing to BSE, the company said that it has "received letter of award/work orders for....civil and architectural works of all buildings structures and associated works... for 2x660 mw Maitree Rampal Project, Bangladesh... for a total contract price of Rs 211 crore awarded by BHEL."
 The project is to be completed in 20 months, the filing said.
 The company said that it has also received work order for operation and maintenance services for 1320 mw Jaypee Nigrie Super Thermal Power Plant at Nigrie, Madhya Pradesh, for a period of five years for a total contract price of Rs 140 crore awarded by Jaiprakash Power Ventures.
 The shares of Power Mech Projects were trading at Rs 729.60 apiece on BSE in morning trade, up 1.62 per cent from the previous close. SID ANS

Maruti Suzuki The promoter of India’s largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki— Suzuki Motor Corporation acquired 2.84 lakh shares from September 8-9. The shares of Maruti Suzuki closed almost flat on Thursday. Hindustan Copper Hindustan Copper reported a 40% jump in its consolidated net profit to ₹29.8 crore for the first quarter ended June 30. The company’s revenue increased 41.9% to ₹431.4 crore. The shares of Hindustan Copper closed 3% higher on September 10. Yes Bank Yes Bank said it has fully repaid the ₹50,000 crore provided by RBI as a special liquidity facility (SLF) amid the crisis faced by the lender earlier this year. New Delhi, Jan 10 () NMDC Chairman and Managing Director N Brijendra Kumar on Friday said that the Union Cabinet has approved disinvestment of stake of six public sector units (PSUs) in Neelachal Ispat Nigam Ltd, and not that of NMDC. 
 Neelachal Ispat Nigam Ltd (NINL) is a joint venture company, in which four central PSUs -- MMTC, National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC), Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) and MECON -- and two Odisha government companies, IPICOL and Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC), are shareholders.
 The government on Wednesday gave in-principle approval for strategic sale of NINL by allowing six PSU shareholders to sell their stake in the steel company.
 "Still confusion is being created by some ppl regarding disinvestment in #NINL,a joint venture company of central and state PSUs in the State of Odhisha.The present decision is not for the disinvestment of @nmdclimited . I repeat No Disinvestment of #NMDC by the present decision," Kumar said in a tweet.
 Some people for their vested interest are spreading rumours on social media and in general public that NMDC is being disinvested which has created an atmosphere of confusion. NMDC is just a stakeholder in NINL, he told .
 Kumar said people must read the government's decision with regard to NINL and understand that the decision is not related to divestment of NMDC.
 MMTC holds 49.78 per cent share in NINL, followed by OMC (20.47 per cent), IPICOL (12 per cent), NMDC (10.10 per cent). MECON and BHEL hold 0.68 per cent stake each in the company. 
 The strategic buyer for NINL will be identified through a two-stage auction procedure, an official statement had said. ABI RVK
