Shares of <keyword id="522897" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Avanti-Feeds">Avanti Feeds</keyword>, a supplier of shrimp feed and prawns, soared to a fresh high after the company reported a stellar set of earnings thanks to a surge in exports.
 

	Avanti Feeds said its first quarter profit jumped 78 percent to 45.7 crore rupees compared with 25.6 crore rupees in the same quarter a year ago. Sales at the shrimp major rose 26 percent to 603 crore rupees during April-June compared with 479.8 crore rupees in the year ago period. Profit was boosted mainly by the shrimp feeds business which surged 35 percent to 535 crore rupees.
 

	Avanti Feeds leapt 441 rupees, or 17.3 percent, to 2,990 rupees on the National Stock Exchange, where 45,965 shares were traded by 10:20 am compared with the 5-day average of 14,600. Avanti Feeds figured in the top volume buzzers list on the NSE.
 

	Avanti Feeds' market capitalisation has gained 148 percent to 2,304 crore rupees over one year.

2015 seems to be a good year for Indian companies. Their growth has been as wide reached as never before. With 11 Indian companies ranked among top 200 Asia Pacific corporations in <keyword id="245051" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Forbes-Asia">Forbes Asia</keyword>'s 'Best Under A Billion' list, India was ranked fourth on the list after <keyword id="5565" type="COUNTRY" weightage="20" keywordseo="South-Korea">South Korea</keyword> which has 17 firms in the coveted list. 

	The list covers public companies with annual revenue of $5 million to $1 billion, Forbes said, adding that they should also have positive net income and should be publicly traded for at least a year. 
 
 The Indian companies that made it to the list include <keyword id="2075166" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="avanti-feeds-ltd">Avanti Feeds Ltd</keyword>, Borosil Glass Works, Byke Hospitality, Caplin Point Laboratories, Centum Electronics, Kaveri Seed, Kitex Garments, NGL Fine-Chem, Orbit Exports, Premco Global and Vakrangee. 

	Of the 200 companies, 123 are new to the list, which underscores the "dynamism of the region's small and medium-sized sector", Forbes said. 
 

	Companies from mainland China &amp; Hong Kong (84) as well as Taiwan (36) dominated this year's list accounting for 60 per cent of the top 200 publicly-traded companies in the Asia Pacific region. 

	India and Malaysia both have 11 companies on the list while Australia has nine firms. This year, Japan dropped out of the top five countries, with only eight companies compared to 15 last year. 
 <keyword id="6356662" type="COUNTRY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Singapore">Singapore</keyword> and Thailand were represented by six companies each, while Pakistan had by 2 companies. "The secret to making the BUB is consistent growth in the measured performance metrics. One off year and you are out," Forbes Asia Editor <keyword id="2918973" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Tim-Ferguson">Tim Ferguson</keyword> said, adding that "it is also important to have a good, liquid channel for public stock offerings".

Changes to income tax slabs, passing of the tax on corporate dividends, liberalisation of education sector, extended tax holiday for affordable housing, and the initial public offering of Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) were among the big proposals. However, the stock market did not seem very excited with the minister's proposals. "Investors stayed away from taking fresh positions ahead of the big event. Focus will turn to the Union Budget as all eyes will be on how Centre is going to bring growth as any increase in spending would result in widening of fiscal deficit. Global economy is also on the edge with slow growth fears significantly high after the outbreak of the virus," Vinod Nair, head of research at Geojit Financial Services told IANS earlier in the day. Insurance stocks like HDFC Life, ICICI Prudential, and SBI Life took a heavy beating, down anywhere between 5% and 8%, after the budget proposed the listing of LIC ⁠— the country's largest insurance giant with a corpus of ₹31 lakh crore⁠— that is likely to corner a lot of interest from investors. Technology stocks were propped up as the early part of Sitharaman's speech gave a lot of thrust to leveraging technology in a whole host of sectors from health and education to quantum computing and gene mapping. Even stocks like HUL, Asian Paints, and Bajaj Finance, which started the day on buoyant note hoping for sharp cuts in income tax and a boost for consumption including housing, gave up the early gains on exemptions. These are some of the big highlights that are relevant to the share market: Cost to the exchequer ₹40,000 crore; Removed 70 tax exemptions and deductions. These new rates are available to those who forego exemptions, deductions, and rebates. Dividend distribution tax will be abolished, it will be taxable in the hands of the recipient. Cost to exchequer: ₹25,000 crore. ""The decision to remove dividend distribution tax was much-needed as it was resulting in triple taxation of corporate earnings. The shift to a simplified scheme of personal income tax is another welcome move as it removes distortionary influences in the individual’s savings choices even though the actual tax savings may not be significant for those who were availing deductions and exemptions," VP Nandakumar, MD &amp; CEO of Manappuram Finance Limited said. However, the stock of the company fell over 3.2% in trade. Shares of IDBI Bank surged as much as 17% after the Finance Minister said that the government will sell its remaining 47% stake (as of December 2019) in the bank. LIC owns 51% stake in IDBI Bank, the unlocking of value will make the insurance giant's IPO even more valuable. Zeal Aqua (up 14.4%), Waterbase (up 5.58%), Apex Frozen (up 4.55%), Avanti Feeds (up 2.93%) and Coastal Corporation (up 2.66%) gained due to a dedicated push for the fishing industry. Sitharaman said that the fish production will be increased 200 lakh tonnes a year and set a target of ₹1 lakh crore in fish exports. The education sector has been allowed to borrow money from abroad as well as to invite foreign students via a new entrance examination called the INDSAT. Shares of Navneet Education (up 2.33%), Zee Learn (up 2.19%), Career Point (up 1.98%) and MT Educare (up 1.97%), gained in trade. The speech discouraged the use of chemical fertilisers, and promote organic farming, dragging down stocks like Rashtriya Chemical Fertilisers. The ₹2.83 lakh crore allocation for agriculture, irrigation, and rural development did little to stokes of a revival in rural demand. Dividend distribution tax will be taxable in the hands of the recipient and not the company. This will cost 25,000 crore to the exchequer. Dividend and capital gains made by foreign funds on investment in infrastructure space will tax free. The budget also proposed to set up a 100 new airports in the next five years but stocks of airport construction majors like GMR Infra and GVK were down nearly 5% in afternoon trade. The <keyword id="6354813" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="nifty">Nifty</keyword> started Friday on a positive note with shares such as <keyword id="6354446" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="BHEL">BHEL</keyword>, Larsen &amp; Toubro and Hindalco leading the early charge as traders latched on to some beaten down valuations and brokerage upgrades. <keyword id="6357150" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="TCS">TCS</keyword>, whose first quarter sales missed analysts estimates, fell 16 rupees at 2,505 in the first 10 minutes of trade. 

	Nifty's Advance-Decline Ratio stood at 3:1 with the Index quoting 30 points higher at 8,359. The Nifty is likely to see resistance coming in at 8,420-8,370 levels and the support at 8,325-8,275 points. Other major indices in the early morning uptrend were CNX Metals Index and CNX Media Index.
 On the <keyword id="43628" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Bombay-stock-exchange">Bombay Stock Exchange</keyword>, the <keyword id="6484188" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Sensex">Sensex</keyword> was up a modest 94 points at 27,668. The Advance-Decline Ratio stood at 7:3 on the Index, where Vedanta, <keyword id="6653" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="ICICI-bank">ICICI Bank</keyword> and Coal India were among the early winners. <keyword id="6359432" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Britannia">Britannia</keyword>, Avanti Feeds, Eveready and Huhtamaki Papers were the stocks that hit fresh highs on the National Stocks Exchange. On the volume buzzers chart were Bhushan Steel, Monnet Ispat and <keyword id="2942825" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="R-S-Software">R S Software</keyword>. 

	Foreign funds continued to remain net sellers on Indian equities on Thursday. The sold net 254 crore rupees of stocks, their 5th straight day of sales and their sales in the derivatives markets stood at 1,247 crore rupees in Index Futures and 497 crore rupees in Stock Futures. These numbers point to further weakness in Indian stocks.
 And now for a bit of good news: the IMF has retained its forecast for global growth at 3.8 percent for 2016. It pegs India's <keyword id="35050" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="gdp">GDP</keyword> expansion at 7.5 percent, making us the fastest growing economy in the world.

The day's begun with a positive note!

Stocks were back up on Tuesday after the central bank pleasantly surprised markets with a whopping 50 basis points cut in the Repurchase rate, sparking a mid-day rally in stock prices. 
 
The <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Reserve+Bank+of+India">Reserve Bank of India</a> cut the main lending rate to 6.75 percent in a bid to stoke growth and seed demand in corporate India. Low inflation and benign commodity prices helped Governor <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Raghuram+Rajan">Raghuram Rajan</a> to take this giant leap. Predictably banks were on fire. 
 
The Nifty, meanwhile, rose 48 points to end the day at 7,843 points, coming sharply off the day's highs of 7,919 points are traders preferred to book profit rather than stay long in globally volatile times. Interest rate sensitive stocks hogged the limelight: HDFC, M&amp;M, IndusInd Bank, Bank of Baroda and Zee Entertainment were the top five gainers on the Nifty. Metal stocks remained under selling pressure. As a consequence, Vedanta, Tata Steel, Hindalco, BPCL and Adani Ports were the top five losers. The Advance-Decline Ratio stood at 22/28 on the Nifty, reversing in the last hour of trade. 
 
Broader markets inched higher as well with the CNX 100, CNX 200 and CNX 500 Indices adding more than 0.4 percent each. Housing Finance companies were in heavy demand on expectations that a rate cut will help with win more customers. Hence, the CNX Finance index surged 1.7 percent. Smart gains were also seen on the Bank Nifty and the CNX PSU Bank index. The CNX Realty and CNX Media indices also jumped in trade. However, the metals and pharma sectors saw selling with both benchmarks ending in the red. 
 The Sensex added 162 points, or 0.6 percent, to 25,778 points on the <keyword id="43628" type="CITY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Bombay-stock-exchange">Bombay Stock Exchange</keyword>. Maruti, Tata Motors, ONGC were among the winners while Dr. Reddy's, Sun Pharma and Bajaj Auto slipped in trade. The Advance-Decline Ratio on the Sensex was 14/16 and Axis Bank, SBI and ICICI were the top 3 most traded stocks on the index. 
 
The broader market saw the bulls and the bears as evenly matched with 1,171 shares advancing compared with 1,155 that fell. 
 
The futures and options space saw build up of long positions in the Realty, Finance and Banking sectors while heavy shorts were seen in the metals space.

Here's how the day was at the Markets

The <keyword id="6354813" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="nifty">Nifty</keyword> rose a strong 44 points in early Monday deals as traders ramped up oil marketing companies on falling global prices for crude oil and beaten down stocks such as Hindalco. 					The Nifty gained 0.5 percent to 8,608 points right at the start, overcoming a major resistance level in initial trades. The Advance-Decline Ratio was at 41/9 with BPCL, Hindalco, State Bank of India, ahead of earnings, Tata Power and Powergrid figuring as top five gainers. Tata Motors, Grasim, ONGC, ICICI Bank and UltraTech were on the losers side on the Index.
				 
				
					Minor upticks were seen on broader indices as investors started the week on a firm note. The CNX 100, CNX 200, CNX Nifty Junior and CNX 500 Indexes showed decent gains in early deals. The Bank Nifty inched up 55 points in initial trades. Sectoral indices such asCNX Pharma, CNX PSU Bank and CNX Energy showed strong gains at the start of trade on the National Stock Exchange. 								And on the Bombay Stock Exchange, the <keyword id="6484188" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Sensex">Sensex</keyword> rose 128 points to 28,364 points in initial trades on Monday. As a consequence, the Advance-Decline Ratio stood at 25/5. BHEL, Hindalco, State Bank, TCS and HDFC showed positive traction, while Coal India, ONGC and ITC were on the back foot on the index.
							 
							
								The screens wore a light shade of green in the futures and options market with Divi's Labs, Sun TV, REC Ltd and Indian Oil showing smart uptrend versus UCO Bank, JP Associates, JP Power and Dewan Housing slipping in early deals. The Advance-Decline Ratio, meanwhile, stood at 130/30.
							
								 
								The broader market, too, was dominated by the bulls in the first half hour of trade 1,059 with shares rising compared with 400 that fell.

Indian stocks snapped a six-day winning streak as investors booked partial profit in front line counters even as traders ramped up some beaten down shares in the hope of further gains. Realty, <keyword id="25455" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="finance">Finance</keyword> and fertiliser stocks came under selling pressure even as cement and <keyword id="34523" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="fmcg">FMCG</keyword> shares gained in trade. 
 The <keyword id="6354813" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="nifty">Nifty</keyword> fell 48 points to end the day at 8,129 points. ITC, Idea, <keyword id="6355199" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Reliance-Industries">Reliance Industries</keyword>, GAIL and <keyword id="6355975" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Axis-Bank">Axis Bank</keyword> were the top five losers on the index while Adani Ports, Hindalco, Vedanta, UltraTech and <keyword id="6357147" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Tata-Steel">Tata Steel</keyword> rose in trade. The Nifty had an Advance-Decline Ratio of 15/35 and Mahindra &amp; Mahindra, Axis Bank, HCL Tech were the most active shares on the index. 
 
Broad market indices also came under selling pressure with the CNX 100, CNX 200 and CNX 500 benchmarks losing at least 0.6 percent each. The lone gainer in the sectoral pack was the CNX Metals Index. Modest losses were recorded on benchmarks representing Realty, Pharma and FMCG sectors. The Auto and Energy space, too, came under selling pressure. 
 Sentiment was sideways on the Bombay Stock Exchange where the <keyword id="6484188" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Sensex">Sensex</keyword> lost 190 points, or 0.7 percent, to 26,845 points. Reliance Industries, ICICI, <keyword id="45179" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="NTPC">NTPC</keyword> and <keyword id="6359783" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Bajaj-Auto">Bajaj Auto</keyword> came under selling pressure while Vedanta, Reddy's, Hero Motors and <keyword id="6354446" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="BHEL">BHEL</keyword> posted modest gains. The Advance-Decline Ratio on the Index stood at 9/19 and M&amp;M, Tata Steel and Axis Bank were the most active stocks on the Sensex. 
 
Bears wrested control in the wider market with 1,480 shares falling compared with 1,265 stocks that rose above their Wednesday's closing prices. 
 
The mood was bearish in the futures and options space as well with just 49 futures gaining compared with 116 that recorded losses. McLeod Russel, UCO Bank and UltraTech were top gaining futures compared with Bharti Infratel, Divis Lab, and Century Textiles that slipped in trade. 
 
Avanti Feeds, Granules India and Can Fin Homes hit fresh highs in trade on the National Stock Exchange.

	Broader indices showed upticks in early deals. The CNX 100, CNX 200 and CNX 500, CNX Nifty Junior, the mid cap and small cap indices rose between 0.4-1.0 percent in the first half hour of trade on the NSE. Coming under profit booking was the Bank Nifty dropping 10 points to 18,812 as well as the CNX PSU Bank Index which shed 0.7 percent in trade. CNX Auto, CNX IT and CNX Metal Indexes were the top gainers on Tuesday.
 And on the <keyword id="43628" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Bombay-stock-exchange">Bombay Stock Exchange</keyword>, the <keyword id="6484188" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Sensex">Sensex</keyword> jumped 153 points at 28,031 in initial trades. As a consequence, the Advance-Decline Ratio stood at 22/8. Infosys, TCS, Axis Bank, Larsen &amp; Toubro and Lupin were the top gainers on the Index while GAIL, Cipla, Tata Motors, Coal India and NTPC shed weight on the Sensex. 

	The Futures and Options market had a strong start in trade on Tuesday with an Advance-Decline ratio of 111/45. Kaveri Seeds, Exide Industries and Adani Ports were the top gainers while JSW Steel, Union Bank and Bank of India made it to the top losers list in F&amp;O trade.
 

	The broader market was in fine shape in early deals. The Advance-Decline Ratio stood at 1,115 shares that gained versus 345 shares that fell.
 

	Tata Coffee, Indo Rama Synthetics, CCL Products and Tamil Nadu Petro made it to the top volume buzzers list and Kwality, IPCA, Infosys, Avanti Feeds and Ashok Leyland were a part of the fresh 52-week high fliers on the NSE.
