The transaction details of this deal remain undisclosed. The development was announced by Kavin Mittal, chief executive and founder of Hike, on Twitter. The development comes after Hike raised capital from top angel investors, in August 2021, for the first time in five years. Several big names like Tinder’s co-founders Justin Mateen and Sean Rad, SoftBank Vision Fund’s chief executive (CEO) Rajeev Misra, Tribe Capital’s Arjun Sethi, Zeta’s cofounder Bhavin Turakhia, Cred’s Kunal Shah, Snapdeal’s Kunal Bahl and Rohit Bansal and South Park Commons’ Aditya Agarwal participated in this round. Instead the company decided to focus on HikeLand, which is a virtual hangout zone launched by the company in June 2020. The company plans to generate revenue from Hikeland through in-app purchases. HikeLand is now rebranded as Vibe and would continue to offer interactive social media experience. Meanwhile, Rush is a mini games platform that offers casual games. Hike raises money for the first time in five years to experiment with crypto and gaming

Even as the world is moving fast towards cloud <keyword id="6355118" type="ENTERTAINMENT" weightage="20" keywordseo="technology">technology</keyword>, even today we need a licensed CD or flash memory to install a software. It is this gap that two serial entrepreneurs <keyword id="3000719" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Akash-Nangia">Akash Nangia</keyword> and <keyword id="3644141" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Arjun-Mittal">Arjun Mittal</keyword> set out to fill in their entrepreneurial journey. 
 They realized the demand for an online marketplace of softwares where installation and licensing could be done almost instantly, and even a technologically challenged person could install software without a sign of hesitation. This gave birth to Gurgaon-based <keyword id="3644142" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="TechJockey">Techjockey</keyword>, a portal that provides online business software solutions. It made buying softwares as easy as ordering groceries through mobile apps. 
 
With the kind of offerings Techjockey provides, it eventually came handy for the users who were starting their businesses.

 In an exclusive chat with Business Insider, Akash <keyword id="2762851" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Nangia">Nangia</keyword>, Founder of Techjockey said, “We cater to a variety of industry - retail, manufacturing, education, ecommerce, hospitality, automobiles and warehousing, among others. Our aim is to create 1,000-plus small software solutions companies by end-2016-17, including those operating in remote areas of India. The basic idea is to let the small businesses and SMEs avail end-to-end software requirement.” 
 Nangia was the Vice-President, Sales at <keyword id="830092" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Zomato">Zomato</keyword> before he got on his own journey with his collegemate. The duo has experience of selling softwares to government organizations, and it didn’t take them long to notice the nascent stage at which market of software reselling in India was lingering. 
 
On being asked about the investments, Akash’s co-founder Arjun Mittal said, “We started our venture with Rs 25 lakh which came from our own pockets. In just a year, we have seen a revenue growth of over Rs 1 crore.” 
 
“The margins on software sale and the marketing revenue from Tier 1 and Tier 2 software companies are major revenue booster for Techjockey,” he further said.

A popular concept abroad, the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=AIB+Knockout">AIB Knockout</a>, hosted at the NSCI auditorium in Worli, saw the funny four along with <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Karan+Johar">Karan Johar</a> and <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Aditi+Mittal">Aditi Mittal</a> take digs at actors <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Ranveer+Singh">Ranveer Singh</a> and <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Arjun+Kapoor">Arjun Kapoor</a>, who played sporting victims. 
 
What they didn’t foresee was being slapped with FIRs on the participants and organisers on the ground of obscenity.

“To be really honest, none of us thought it would be this big an issue, even in our wildest dreams,” admits AIB’s <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Gursimran+Khamba">Gursimran Khamba</a>, nearly a year after that incident, while speaking at <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Coalition+India">Coalition India</a>. 
 
The case, however, is still on. 
 
Adding how they were flabbergasted at the news, <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Gursimran+Khamba">Khamba</a> admits their first reaction was disbelief. 
 
“I mean, come on. There are farmers dying in Maharashtra and you really want to make an issue out of this and give us three day primetime coverage?” 
 
Having cases against them did see several brands being wary of approaching them, but <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Gursimran+Khamba">Khamba</a> thinks the most damaging impact was to their confidence. 
 
“We are obviously scared now. We’ll think twice before including a joke. But, there are times that I just don’t care and think, no matter what I’m going ahead with my sketch, but later I realised that can’t be the case anymore,” <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Gursimran+Khamba">Khamba</a> adds. 
 
He says comedy is subjective, and admits they make content for a mature audience. “The reason we have Bakchod in our name is to let people know we’re for a select audience”, he adds. 
 
 “The only way you come out of something like this without getting scared in the future is if you don’t have a family to worry about or if you have the kind of money that <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Vijay+Mallya">Vijay Mallya</a> does,” he signs off.
