<a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Apple">Apple</a> has entered a partnership with electronics chain <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=croma">Croma</a> and the Tata-owned store will be now flashing <keyword id="6354427" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Apple">Apple</keyword> devices. 
 
Initially, the Apple products will be available at six locations as a pilot project and the stores will be modelled on global design and consumers will get the best experience. 
 
"We are proud to partner Apple to launch the Apple Store in India and extremely bullish about it," said Avijit Mitra, chief executive officer of Infiniti Retail, which owns Croma. 
 
The Croma stores that will have Apple devices will be at Mumbai, Bengaluru and they are going to open by Diwali next month. 
 
Presently, Apple sells its devices in India through premium resellers who run exclusive brand stores under the franchise model. 
 
Apple still does not have a store due to mandatory local-sourcing norms for single-brand <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=FDI+in+retail">foreign direct investment in retail</a>. 
 
It is noteworthy that Croma has 97 stores across the country with 3.8 million customers and Apple owns more than 460 stores in 17 countries - more than half in the US. 
 
Sales of Apple’s new devices-<a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=iphone">iPhone 6s and 6s Plus</a>-will start from October 16. It also plans to launch Apple Watch in India by Diwali.

Apple devices to now be available at Croma

Customers queued up outside various <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Apple">Apple</a> stores to buy latest <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/iPhone-loyalists-gear-up-for-midnight-sale-of-iPhone-6S-6S-Plus-in-India-on-October-16/articleshow/49152384.cms">iPhone 6s and iPhone 6Plus</a> devices, which started selling on October 16 midnight. 
 
The iPhone 6S and iPhone6S Plus are now available in India, starting at Rs 62,000 and Rs 72,000 for 16GB models respectively. 
 
The Indian prices are way higher than the US but still Apple loyalists were keen on getting their hands on the latest models. 
 <keyword id="1377264" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Apple-CEO-Tim-Cook">Apple CEO Tim Cook</keyword> acknowledged Indian buyers and took to Twitter to express gratitude. 
 
Thanks to all our customers in India who queued at midnight for the new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus at midnight," Cook said in a Twitter post. 
 
Sales kicked off in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, etc. 
 
Reportedly, India is amongst the fastest growing smartphone markets worldwide and the country is expected to overtake the US to become No 2 after China by 2017. 
 
Apple will be selling its devices through Croma outlets also.

Apple’s latest iPhones are now available in India

India's e-tailing giants gear up for <keyword id="6354427" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Apple">Apple</keyword>'s 6S and 6S Plus launch which is estimated to rake in domestic revenues in excess of Rs 6,000 crore for the US tech company. Apple plans to sell more than 10 lakh units of its new phone in India, and half of it is expected to happen through the online route. This will also reduce the chances of offline retailers charging a scarcity premium, say industry experts. The new phones will hit the shelves on October 16 at a price ranging between Rs 62,000 for the 16GB <keyword id="6354606" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="iPhone">iPhone</keyword> 6S and Rs 92,000 for the 128GB iPhone 6S Plus. While offline retailers have already started taking bookings for the launch, their online counterparts have readied a war chest that includes delivery on launch day, cashbacks, assured buybacks and great trade-in values. For instance, <keyword id="541988" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="SnapDeal">Snapdeal</keyword>, one of Apple's largest partners here, is bundling an interesting assured buyback offer with the iPhone 6S. "Within six months of purchase, if you want to sell your phone, we will pay you 50 per cent of its value and 40 per cent after that, till 15 months," Karan Khara, VP, strategic alliances, Snapdeal, told TNN. "We won't be offering discounts in the beginning and most of the competition between e-tailers will take place on the basis of stock availability, delivery on the day of launch and cashbacks." 

	Snapdeal has assured delivery on the first day of the phone's India launch to its pre-booked customers who complete payment by 4 pm on October 15. Though Khara did not reveal numbers, it has been learnt that the New Delhi-based online marketplace is eyeing revenues that may run into hundreds of crores from the iPhone 6S.
 

	A relatively new entrant into the e-tailing space, Paytm is looking at a business of Rs. 150-200 crore from the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. While Croma, one of India's largest electronics goods chain, is charging Rs 1,000 for pre-booking the iPhone 6S, an online shopper can book it on Paytm for Rs 2,000.
 Similarly, Bengaluru-based e-tailer <keyword id="6354742" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Flipkart">Flipkart</keyword> has gone live with iPhone 6S pre-bookings from Thursday night. A senior executive from the company said it will offer a 30-day replacement guarantee on the phones that no other player is offering.
