By Komal Panchamatia Mumbai, Apr 12 () Filmmaker Anurag Basu believes once the COVID-19 crisis ends, the entertainment industry will be defined by "pre-corona and post-corona" eras.The director was looking forward to his next, "Ludo" this month, the release of which was pushed after the pandemic hit India.Basu said cinema will witness a complete shift in terms of storytelling and mode of entertainment."The cinema and entertainment world will be defined as 'pre-corona and post-corona' era. Storytelling will change and there will be some people, who are getting used to watching stuff on OTT, so that may take the front seat now. "I believe now corona will become the backdrop and subject for many films for years to come till the world sees the next big crisis," Basu told in an interview.The director believes many people will come out as a completely different personality post the lockdown, and it will also influence their choice of content."For some people, the view on life has changed. It will affect their likes and dislikes and the kind of things they want to watch and not watch. They will see the world through a different prism."People will not see anything meaningless and that will push people to make more meaningful stuff. This is just a guess. And that's what we do right? I am only guessing the viewer's choices," he added. Basu said he is also doubtful whether people would be comfortable about returning to the theatres after the lockdown.He hopes Bollywood producers would work together to chalk out a release calendar which lures the audiences to come to the cinema halls. "I hope all the producers discuss what works best for each of them and not fight for dates or cut into each other's business. If we are together, we can manage."From both creative and business points of view, Basu said, like any other sector, the film industry too will be incurring losses due to the lockdown, but the filmmaker is more concerned about daily wage workers."My heart goes out to the daily wage workers, who make for 75 per cent in any film unit, as they will be hit the most with all the shoots being stalled."His next film "Ludo", a comedy anthology, was scheduled to hit the theatres on April 24, but the director is still unsure about the new release date. "We were all ready and geared up for the April 24 release. Looking at the current scenario, I'm not expecting 'Ludo' to hit the theatres soon. As soon as we decide our date we will launch our trailer. The film, which also stars Ranbir Kapoor's former flame, <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Katrina-Kaif-took-a-work-vacation-to-Maldives/articleshow/55929869.cms">Katrina Kaif</a> chronicles the life of a teen detective, Jagga. 
 
The trailer of the film just dropped today and you won't believe it- it doesn't have dialogues. And, yet it manages to blow you away. It succeeds in teleporting you to Jagga's world of fantasy, animals, and journey of his self-discovery. 
 Ranbir and Katrina both sport bespectacled looks in the film, as seen from the trailer, though Ranbir's look looks strikingly similar to his look in <keyword id="617763" type="ENTERTAINMENT" weightage="100" keywordseo="Barfi">Barfi</keyword>. 
 
Enough to keep us intrigued, we think?

The trailer of Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif's 'Jagga Jagoos' will transport you into a different world

<keyword id="6357861" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="ranbir-kapoor">Ranbir Kapoor</keyword> was ecstatic when he had launched his production company, called <keyword id="1710369" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Picture-Shuru-Productions">Picture Shuru Productions</keyword>, in collaboration with <keyword id="65015" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Anurag-Basu">Anurag Basu</keyword>. However, the very first venture of the production house called ‘<keyword id="1704167" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Jagga-Jasoos">Jagga Jasoos</keyword>’ has been running into trouble over and over again. 
 Earlier, <keyword id="6381730" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="govinda">Govinda</keyword> who was roped in for an important character of the movie walked out of the movie, leaving the makers in trouble. If his exit was not enough to delay the shoot of the film, another problem has now surfaced, owing to which almost half of the movie has to be shot again. The reason behind this delay is said to be the change in the storyline of the movie. 
 
Apparently, the movie was planned to be a musical narrative, but given that Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Mirziya, starring <keyword id="6354700" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Anil-Kapoor">Anil Kapoor</keyword>’s son Harshvardhan and Shabana Azmi’s niece Saiyami Kher, is also running on the same line, director Anurag Basu has decided to change the screenplay. 
 Another issue with the movie is the role of Ranbir’s father, for which no actor seems to be finalized as of yet. We have also heard that Govinda was roped in for the same role but walked out at the last moment, as he didn’t want to play Ranbir’s father. If reports are to be believed, Anil Kapoor and <keyword id="6357912" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="amitabh-bachchan">Amitabh Bachchan</keyword> have now been approached for the role. However, if things don’t get finalized with them, we believe that Ranbir’s real life father, actor <keyword id="6357910" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Rishi-Kapoor">Rishi Kapoor</keyword> could be a considerable option too. 
 
Although the last time the real life father-son duo played their roles on camera, the resultant movie Besharam was a big dud, both commercially and critically.

MTV, HUL Join Hands To Launch 'MTV Films'

Mumbai, Jul 12 () TV star Parth Samthaan of "Kasautii Zindagii Kay" fame on Sunday said he has tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Samthaan, who plays the leading man Anurag Basu in the Ekta Kapoor-produced show, said he had "mild symptoms" for COVID-19 following which he decided to get tested. "I have been tested positive for COVID-19... Hence I would urge and request everyone whose been with me in close proximity over the last few days please go and get yourself tested," he wrote on Instagram. The 29-year-old actor said he is now under self-quarantine and is in touch with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). "The BMC has regularly been in touch and with the doctors guidance. I am in self quarantine and I am grateful to them for all their support. Please be safe and take care," he added. The cast of "Kasautii Zindagii Kay" resumed shooting in June after a hiatus of over three months due to the pandemic-induced lockdown. Without naming Samthaan, Kapoor's production house Balaji Telefilms also released a statement, saying a talent from the show has tested positive for COVID-19. "We would like to inform various stakeholders that one of our talents from the show 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay' has tested positive for COVID-19 and is now receiving medical attention. Our first priority is to help protect our talent, production crew and employees," a spokesperson for the banner said in a statement. The makers are taking necessary precautions to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, they said. "We are taking all the precautions detailed in the guideline. We were and will continue following all medical protocols set by the authorities and have implemented guidelines concerning social interactions, hygiene, travel and visits to the sets," the spokesperson added. TV actor Parth Samthaan tests positive for COVID-19

New Delhi, May 4 () Short video platform TikTok on Monday said it is launching a new campaign, urging users to be extremely careful with the content they create and share online to ensure that they do not spread misinformation amid COVID-19 pandemic.TikTok - which has about 200 million users in India - said the campaign has been directed by Anurag Basu and features popular personalities, including Virat Kohli, Sara Ali Khan, Ayushmann Khurrana and Kriti Sanon."Fake news is harmful, makes us ill-informed, erodes trust and impacts communities. TikTok has launched its Public Service Announcement (PSA) titled #MatKarForward to help raise awareness among the digital community around creation and sharing of misinformation," the video platform said in a statement.The campaign will be live on DD and other television channels and social media handles starting Monday, it added.The government had asked social media companies to place more checks in order to curb the spread of misleading content that could cause harm to the society in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak. It had also asked these platforms to remove rogue messages spreading misinformation and weakening the government's efforts to fight against the coronavirus.TikTok's goal is to develop policies and community tools that make it a safer platform for users, the statement said.Most recently, the platform had introduced a 'Misleading Information' category, along with a COVID-19 sub-category, within the in-app reporting feature to curb the misinformation amid COVID-19 pandemic."Spread of misinformation is an industry-wide concern and a shared responsibility. Now, the pretty actress is all set for another Bollywood film called Humshakals.
