While the watch was close to the actual number, it was off by 1-2 points. The watch performed well in health tracking, showing accurate information. Even the sleep tracking feature works well, and we found that the sleep duration shown on the watch was accurate. The one-tap measuring feature works well and reveals your heart rate, stress levels and blood oxygen saturation in 45 seconds, giving you a quick overview of your health. This allows you to track some vital stats throughout the day by spending less than a minute each time. There was a slight deviation in activity tracking, such as the steps and distance covered. This is around 5%, which is not bad for a watch in this segment. Battery life is one of the most impressive things about the Amazfit Active. It is claimed to offer a battery life of up to 14 days on a single charge. It’s not just TikTok but it’s sister app, Helo as well, that has come under the scanner.  In case they don’t respond, the ministry is threatening to take the Helo and TikTok off the shelves, according to PTI. TikTok and Helo responded to Business Insider India stating, “Our continued success in India will not be possible without the support of our local community. We take our responsibilities to this community seriously and welcome this opportunity to fully collaborate with the Government to meet and exceed our obligations." Here’s what’s at stake In addition to being banned, TikTok and Helo could also face action as per India’s IT Act and other requisite laws for their actions. The government is alleging that unauthorised data was shared was these apps and used a hub for ‘anti-national’ activities. Helo, in particular, is accused of putting up 11,000 incorrect political ads on its platform. The ministry has stated that the aim of the survey is to ascertain how much data TikTok and Helo are collecting [data?] from Indian users and whether or not that data is being stored in China. Bytedance, on the other hand, has always maintained that its data is only stored in the US and Singapore. TikTok was pulled from India app stores early this year for ‘<a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/tiktok-ban-in-india-for-hosting-porn/articleshow/68720430.cms">encouraging pornography</a>’ on its platform. Eventually the ban was lifted with because it <a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/tiktok-ban-in-india-lifted-by-madras-high-court/articleshow/69029626.cms">impeded free speech</a>. Since then, TikTok has rolled out a whole host of features to help users be more responsible on the platform. But, that doesn’t address the government’s new concerns around how the app is using data.

India has temporarily suspends visa services in <keyword id="6356687" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="canada" source="Orion">Canada</keyword> as per a notice on India Visa Application Centre Canada's website. The notice states, "Due to operational issues, with effect from 21 September, 2023, Indian visa services have been suspended till further notice." Earlier, last evening, India advised its nationals in Canada and those contemplating travel there to exercise utmost caution in view of anti-India activities in some parts of that country. The advisory came amid further deterioration of diplomatic relations between the two countries following Canadian Prime Minister <keyword id="1740494" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="justin-trudeau" source="Orion">Justin Trudeau</keyword>'s allegations of a "potential" involvement of Indian agents in the killing of Khalistani separatist <keyword id="7575364" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Hardeep-Singh-Nijjar" source="Orion">Hardeep Singh Nijjar</keyword> in June. "In view of growing anti-India activities and politically-condoned hate crimes and criminal violence in Canada, all Indian nationals there and those contemplating travel are urged to exercise utmost caution," the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said in the advisory. It said, "Recently, threats have particularly targeted Indian diplomats and sections of the Indian community who oppose the anti-India agenda." "Indian nationals are therefore advised to avoid travelling to regions and potential venues in Canada that have seen such incidents," it said. The MEA said the Indian High Commission and consulates general will continue to be in contact with the Canadian authorities to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the Indian community in Canada. "Given the deteriorating security environment in Canada, Indian students in particular are advised to exercise extreme caution and remain vigilant," it said in the advisory. <ul><li>A non-profit organisation has filed an antitrust case against <keyword id="6354427" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Apple" source="Orion">Apple</keyword> over in-app payment concerns.</li><li>The petitioner says that the 30% commission rate harms customers and app developers, creating barriers to entry and increasing costs.</li><li>The iPhone-maker has been the subject of similar lawsuits in other markets like the European Union, while regulators in South Korea and Japan have used the law to force the company to concede.</li></ul>Apple has been hit with an antitrust case over concerns that the iPhone-maker abused its dominant position over in-app payments. This comes after the company was hit with similar antitrust lawsuits in other markets, notably in the European Union and Japan. According to a <a href="https://www.reuters.com/technology/exclusive-apple-hit-with-antitrust-case-india-over-in-app-payments-issues-2021-09-02/">Reuters</a> report, the antitrust case against Apple was filed by a relatively less known non-profit group, “Together We Fight Society”, based in Rajasthan. "The existence of the 30% commission means that some app developers will never make it to the market. This could also result in consumer harm,” the group was quoted as saying by Reuters. It is worth noting that the case has been filed with the Competition Commission of India, a statutory body of the Indian government set up to promote competition and prevent activities that have an adverse effect on competition. The group that filed the case suggests that Apple’s 30% commission acts as a barrier for app developers while also hurting customers. "These payments and policies act as a hindrance for many developers due to which they never make it to the market," said Rakesh Deshmukh, co-founder of Indus App Bazaar, an Indian alternative app store. Apple has already buckled under pressure and conceded to some extent when it comes to in-app payments in Japan, allowing apps and services like Netflix, Spotify and Kindle link to their web pages to accept payments from their respective subscribers. This means that Apple will not be able to take a cut of the payments that these services receive from their subscribers in Japan. This, the company said, will benefit 99% of the developers by slashing their commission costs in half. This comes after the company faced widespread criticism from <a href="https://techcrunch.com/2020/09/30/indian-startups-explore-forming-an-alliance-and-alternative-app-store-to-fight-googles-monopoly/">startups in India</a> and beyond. Apple, on its part, reduced the commission rate to 15% from 30% for developers who have not crossed $1 million in revenue yet – beyond this, the rate is changed back to 30%.
