‘40 Under Forty’: ET celebrates success of young CEOs

“Women are largest untapped reservoir of talent in the world,” <keyword id="3043" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Hillary-Clinton">Hillary Clinton</keyword> had once stated. But with the changing times, women can now be seen playing lead roles in almost all spheres of the business world, but it’s the FMGC sector where they have taken the lead. This was revealed in the Economic Times Corporate Dossier - <keyword id="6555832" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Spencer-Stuart">Spencer Stuart</keyword> listing of India Inc's Rising Women Leaders. Names of women leaders from top MNCs like Mondelez, Unilever, Nike, P&amp;G, <keyword id="54572" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="PepsiCo">PepsiCo</keyword>, Baxter and McKinsey can be spotted in the list. The financial daily stated that consumer businesses are the new suitable work environment for the next generation of women business leaders in the country. Over a third of the 25 <keyword id="2783237" type="POSITION" weightage="20" keywordseo="women-leader">women leader</keyword> listed in the ET Corporate Dossier - Spencer Stuart work in the consumer sector. Commenting on the study, <keyword id="1451952" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Anjali-Bansal">Anjali Bansal</keyword>, MD, Spencer Stuart India, told the ET, "The pool of top talent is relatively shallow in accordance to the size of our corporate population. There is indeed the need for inclusive thinking and diversity.” 

	She added, “Some industries are developing more women leaders, such as consumer. Companies will have to scale up their efforts to attract, retain and develop more women leaders." 
 

	The ET report also pointed out that women leaders are limited in only a few pockets of India Inc; nearly 56% of all women in the list are working for multi-national companies.

Founded in July 2021, Groyyo has been working with MSMEs across South Asia. The company said it has empowered more than 200 manufacturers across South Asia by maximising their potential within six months of inception. The latest funding, it added, will help build its teams across key manufacturing clusters in South Asia along with expanding its presence across the US and the Middle-East. "With the rise and dominance of D2C brands, there is a pressing need for transparent, compliant, quality manufacturers who can cater to low minimum order sizes, fast turnaround times, and price competitiveness," said Subin Mitra, Co-Founder, Groyyo. B2B Manufacturing startup Groyyo raises $4.6M led by Alpha Wave Incubation

The company was selected for Y Combinator's accelerator programme in January 2019.</li><li>It intends to offer simpler investment options, similar to mutual funds and ETFs, to retail crypto investors who intend to stay invested in the long run.</li><li>It currently has 25,000 active portfolio managers with more than $1 billion in trading on the platform.</li></ul>An Indian crypto-asset management platform Mudrex wants to make investing in cryptocurrencies easier. And, it has raised $2.5 million, which is around ₹18.5 crore, in a seed round led by Nexus Venture Partners. The venture firm has a plethora of investments in India, including Zomato, Unacademy, OLX, and many more. Having started off as a men’s grooming company, the startup had last year also ventured into women’s grooming products. He has not had time to think about any leisure activities over the past few months. “What option do I have? I am less experienced than anyone, and I’d love to keep my job right now,” he said. He is not alone. With work from home (WFH) becoming the new normal, employees feel the increased pressure, resulting in anxiety and burnout. One of the crucial reasons behind this is longer working hours and employers’ pressure to be available all the time.
