<p><table class="image-container float_right" width="200"><tr><td><div class="image"></div><p class="source">Wikipedia Commons</p></td></tr></table>New details are emerging from an alleged sexual assault that took place early Tuesday morning that led to <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/brooklyn-nets-player-questioned-sexual-assault-2013-1">Brooklyn Nets forward Andray Blatche being questioned</a> by police.</p>
<p><a href="http://abclocal.go.com/wpvi/story?section=news/local&amp;id=8945931">According to ABC</a>, police responded to a call at the Four Seasons Hotel at around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday and found a incoherent, highly-intoxicated 21-year-old woman claiming she was raped. She told investigators she had been raped by two men while others watched what was happening.</p>
<p>Four people, including Blatche, were questioned by police following the alleged incident. Blatche was ultimately released and no charges were filed against him, but two people remain in custody.</p>
<p>Sources told the network investigators found samples of a date rape drug in the suite.</p>
<p>Blatche told officials he was not in the same room when the alleged incident took place. Sources say that investigators found Blatche's cell phone with compromising photos of the alleged victim.</p>
<p>But Blatche was released and played in the Nets contest against the Philadelphia 76ers last night. Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey said the following regarding Blatche:</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">"He was released and from early information that we have, he may not be a person that was even involved in terms of actually assaulting anyone."</p>
<p>No one has been charged in the incident.</p>

<p>He was <a href="https://twitter.com/HowardBeckNYT/status/288719669874028544">released and not charged</a>, Howard Beck of the NYT reports.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/local/Police-Investigating-Sex-Assault-at-Four-Seasons-185992512.html">According to NBC</a>, the player was "in the hotel suite at the time of the alleged incident but was not in the bedroom where it may have occurred."</p>
<p>Blatche <a href="https://twitter.com/drayblatche/status/288696990068510720">seemed to confirm this on Twitter</a>, saying (perhaps insensitively), "Im ok and I didn't do anything jus was n the area when it happened."</p>
<p>The alleged incident took place last night at the Four Seasons in Center City, and the 21-year-old female who filed the complaint was taken to the hospital at 4 a.m. The Nets are in town to play the 76ers tonight.</p>

<p>The Nets won't comment until the investigation is over. Here's their statement:</p>

New York Post Puts Katherine Webb On The Cover, Declares Her Winner Of The National Championship

<p>It's such a surprise because Kirilenko opted out of a contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves that would have paid him $10 million in 2013-14.</p>
<p>Kirilenko's agent <a href="http://www.nba.com/2013/news/07/11/andrei-kirilenko-signs-deal-with-nets/index.html">explained the strange decision</a> to TNT's David Aldridge last night. He said that Kirilenko already has a boatload of money, he wanted to play for a winning team, and the fact that Brooklyn has a Russian owner pushed it over the top.</p>
<p>Those three points all make sense.</p>
<p>1. Kirilenko has already made $101.2 million during his 12-year NBA career.</p>
<p>2. While the Timberwolves have some talent, it's unlikely that they'll be a championship contender in the next two years. The Nets, on the other hand, <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/celtics-nets-trade-analysis-boston-picks-2013-6">are going all-in and trying to win a title right now</a>. There are questions about age, chemistry, and coaching surrounding the team, but the talent level of the roster (Deron Williams, Joe Johnson, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Brook Lopez, Kirilenko, Jason Terry, Andray Blatche) is ridiculous.</p>
<p>3. The Nets are owned by Russian oligarch Mikhail Prokhorov. Kirilenko is Russian too.</p>
<p>It's a crazy good deal for the Nets. Kirilenko is a really, really good player who doesn't need the ball in his hands, is an elite defender, and can play multiple positions.</p>

<p>Evans said the title wasn't legitimate, telling the Stefan Bondy of the NY Daily News, "It doesn't prove nothing. That was a lockout season."</p>
<p>He also said that LeBron is only as good as Andray Blatche — a Nets back-up power forward.</p>
<p>Last night the Heat pounded the Nets in Brooklyn 105-85, and LeBron went after Evans in the press after the game.</p>
<p>He tried to take the high road, but couldn't help pointing to Evans' meager stat line. <a href="http://espn.go.com/new-york/nba/story/_/id/8897656/lebron-james-rips-reggie-evans-brooklyn-nets-devaluing-miami-heat-championship">Here's what he told Brian Windhorst of ESPN</a>:</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">"Let me look at his numbers real quick — he had no offensive rebounds, so we did our number on him."</p>
<p>He also took on Evans' specific criticisms:</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">"You can't just come out and say something like that versus a champion. No one knows what it takes unless you've done it. You can't sit here and judge and talk about a team winning a championship unless you've done it. (Evans) hasn't done it."</p>
<p>Finally he told ESPN that he didn't say anything to Evans during the game, because Evans isn't worth his time:</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">"For what? I let my game do the talking. I'm not going to sit here and give Reggie Evans a lot of press, because that is what is going to happen for the next couple days."</p>
<p>The blowout win was a good enough response to Evans, but you can't fault James for getting a few digs in after the game.</p>
