He also told in a television interview that he never missed an ISRO launch. In September, ISRO lost contact with the lander when it was attempting to soft-land near the moon’s South Pole. "Subramanian contacted the LRO project with positive identification of debris. After receiving this tip, the LROC team confirmed the identification by comparing-- before and after images," said NASA in a statement. “I hope this inspires a lot of amateur space enthusiasts. I found one piece of the Vikram lander and based on that NASA found the other parts. I hope ISRO will have a successful Chandrayaan 3,” said Subramanian while speaking on a TV channel. Today, the US space agency officially tweeted an image of the debris that was spotted on the moon’s surface.

 Just three hours after NASA’s Tweet, Subramanian identified himself on Twitter and spelt out the details. As expected, it went viral. And India’s most social media friendly industrialist <keyword id="46425" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Anand-Mahindra">Anand Mahindra</keyword> shared the viral tweet and engaged in a banter with a person trying to discredit him.

 Subramanian also shared a screenshot from the mail he received from Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Mission (LROC), saying that he will be given due credit for his findings. “The debris first located by Shanmuga is about 750 meters northwest of the main crash site and was a single bright pixel identification in that first mosaic (1.3 meter pixels, 84° incidence angle). The November mosaic shows best the impact crater, ray and extensive debris field. The three largest pieces of debris are each about 2x2 pixels and cast a one pixel shadow,” wrote NASA.

 The American space agency’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera (LRCO) tried to locate Vikram earlier in September as well but the light conditions were too harsh for an accurate image.

Ride-hailing major <keyword id="6354720" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="ola">Ola</keyword> on Monday announced its strategic partnership with <keyword id="6357886" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="phonepe">PhonePe</keyword> to enhance its digital payments experience for its customers. Ola users can now access experience on the Ola app. Currently, the feature has been rolled out on Android and will be available on iOS soon. "As PhonePe continues to drive digital payment adoption across the country, we are excited to partner with them to drive this seismic change that will enable us to move a step closer to becoming a Digital India," Anand Subramanian, Spokesperson at Ola, said in a statement. This partnership will also enable PhonePe to offer their services to millions of customers on the Ola platform. "We are excited to partner with Ola, India's leading mobility services provider, to enable a seamless and convenient payment experience for our customers," added Ankit Gaur, Director, Business Development at PhonePe. As part of an introductory offer, customers can avail up to Rs 200 in cashback on the first two rides when paid using PhonePe, said Ola.

Pune, Jun 5 () Ride-hailing major Ola on Friday said it has resumed its services in Pune with necessary safety and precautionary measures. Along with Pune, Ola will also be offering its services across major cities such as Mumbai, Nashik, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Solapur, and Amravati. Citizens across these cities will now be able to book both in-city and out-station trips (intra-state only) for their essential travel needs, the firm said in a release. The release said that the firm has also introduced five layers of safety that include strictly adhering to steps that ensure the highest standards of safety and hygiene for every ride. "This includes compulsory mask usage for driver-partners and passengers, deep sanitisation of cars before and after rides, amongst others. A flexible cancellation policy has also been introduced that allows either the passenger or driver-partner to cancel the ride if they feel the other party is not following the rules or not wearing a mask," the release stated. Ola has mandated all vehicles on the platform to follow hygiene and safety standards that will include the cars being cleaned and sanitised before every ride. Dedicated fumigation centres will also be set up across Pune and other cities in Maharashtra to fumigate vehicles and screen driver-health every 48 hours. Anand Subramanian, spokesperson for Ola, said that as per the latest guidelines issued by the Maharashtra government, driver-partners operating three and four-wheelers will be able to serve the mobility needs of Punekars through the Ola platform. "We are thankful to the Maharashtra state government for bringing relief to thousands of auto-rickshaw, kaali-peeli and cab driver-partners whose livelihoods have depended on mobility," he said. New Delhi, Mar 21 () Ride-hailing firm Ola will offer a floater insurance cover of up to Rs 30,000 crore for its around 20 lakh registered driver partners and their spouses in case they are hit by coronavirus infection. "All eligible Ola driver-partners and their spouses shall be covered by a floater sum of Rs 30,000 under which they can receive a compensation of Rs 1,000 per day for a maximum of 21 days for an individual from the date of a positive diagnosis for COVID- 19," Ola said in a statement. Ola partners can claim for the cover for hospital as well as home quarantine prescribed by a qualified medical practitioner, as approved by the government norms from time to time."Drivers can make a claim for this compensation for themselves and (or) their spouse by providing appropriate medical documents. This coverage comes in with immediate effect and is available for all Ola driver-partners in India across all categories including Ola Bike, Ola Auto, Ola Rentals and Outstation," the company said. Ola currently operates in 250 Indian cities. The company has also partnered with online doctor consultation App, Mfine, to provide free medical help for driver-partners and their family members."The outbreak of COVID-19 poses a risk of impacting the health and livelihoods of millions across the country including that of our driver-partners and their families. Covid-19: Ola announces floater coverage of Rs 30,000 for 20 lakh driver partners

Taxi aggregator <keyword id="6354720" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Ola">Ola</keyword> today announced it add over 6,000 new CNG cars as Delhi's odd-even policy makes a comeback on April 15, 2016. This move will help Ola cash in the lucrative Delhi NCR market.<o:p></o:p>

	The company will invest Rs. 200 crores over the next six months to expand the CNG fleet in Delhi-NCR. The firm already has over 20,000 CNG cars on its platform in Delhi-NCR.<o:p></o:p>

	The company has partnered with car dealers from manufacturers including Maruti, Tata, Hyundai, Chevrolet, Nissan, among others. It also has financial institutions like SBI, IDBI and Shri Ram Finance onboard.<o:p></o:p>

	"We'll add 2,000 CNG cars every month to keep up with the demand for affordable mobility in the Capital", Anand Subramanian, Senior Director - Marketing Communications at Ola said.<o:p></o:p>

	In the past few months, Ola has been aggressively expanding the number of driver partners and CNG cars in Delhi-NCR post the crackdown on diesel taxis plying in the capital. Ola switched to CNG only in Delhi from September 2015.

Ola adds 6,000 CNG cars as Delhi's Odd-Even returns on Apr 15

Taxi aggregator <keyword id="1006428" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Olacabs">Olacabs</keyword> will launch its premium business-car services in Delhi and Bangalore in order to cater to the rising demand for luxury cars in the $6-billion market for car-rental services. 
 
Olacabs is already piloting this business in Mumbai with a fleet of about 500 cars. "We intend to launch services full-fledged in Mumbai, Bangalore and Delhi to begin with and take it to other cities over time," said Anand Subramanian, head of corporate communication. 
 
Taxi hailing app Uber, too, last year launched its higher-priced luxury-car service UberBLACK. The startup, backed by big companies like Goldman Sachs and Google Ventures, calls India its largest market outside the US. 
 Without revealing the details of fares, Subramanian said there would be a slight premium over the economy <keyword id="46360" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Sedan">sedan</keyword> category that it currently offers. The business-car segment would include Mercedes, BMW, Toyota Camry and Honda Civic among others.

Olacabs To Launch Premium Business-car Services In Delhi, Bangalore

At a time when online fashion retailer <keyword id="319719" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Myntra">Myntra</keyword> is planning to shut down its website and concentrate only on mobile app mode of operations, the big question of the hour is : Would online retailers do away with their websites and focus on mobile-app only? 
 
After speaking to half-a-dozen startups, The Economic Times found that the new entrants plan to channel efforts and marketing dollars entirely on their mobile applications. 
 Among the ones ET spoke to are local services startups Zopper, Doormint and LocalOye; online-first restaurants Holachef and Spoonjoy; online dating startup Truly-Madly; and on-demand grocery delivery firm <keyword id="2809732" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="PepperTap">PepperTap</keyword>. 
 
Large eCommerce firms such as Flipkart, Snapdeal, Quikr, Ola and Myntra get 70-80% of their traffic from mobile devices, a key factor influencing Internet companies and startups to consider being app-only platforms, the ET news report confirms. Flipkart and its fashion affiliate Myntra began the trend by shutting their mobile websites and relying instead on their apps to encourage repeated use and to push targeted discounts and notifications. 
 Yet exception is there to prove the rule. Quikr is still not keen on shutting down web operation. "Mobile is clearly the most important channel for us, but for our business, which has a lot of customers in rural India, the browser is important as well," founder and CEO <keyword id="1063538" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Pranay-Chulet">Pranay Chulet</keyword> told the financial daily. 
 
India's smartphone market grew 54% to 140 million devices last year, and is expected to reach 651 million in four years and be the largest mobile-first Internet market, according to Cisco. 
 
As a reflection of this market growth, Ola, India's largest taxi-hailing company, saw cab bookings through its mobile app double in the past 12 months. In contrast, its "website as a source of bookings has been negligible, as 80% of the bookings come through the app and around 20% through the call centre", Anand Subramanian, director of marketing communication at Ola, which registered more than 2 lakh rides a day in January told the ET.
