During initial days, he had to do a lot of struggle but Hussain left no stone unturned to change his fate. He worked in a furniture repairing shop. After being perfect in work, he started own furniture factory and also helped marginalised, poor, uneducated and less-educated people by giving them an opportunity in his factory. Thereafter, the life took a swing and catapulted him to the helm of success. Being financial capable was not enough for Hussain, hence, he entered the politics. In 2017, he won the civic elections from Ward number 59, Nehru Vihar, which comes under Mustafabad Assembly constituency in east Delhi. Hopeful with his success, Hussain had sold his ancestral house sometimes back. But now, when he is wanted in the murder case of an IB staffer, the police is expecting that Hussain must be hidden in his old house. "Delhi Police have not contacted us in connection with Hussain. If the Delhi Police have approached to Pourara (Hussain's village), they would have contacted us. But it has not happened so far," the Adampur SHO told IANS over phone. Paurara village falls under the Adampur police station. It can not be ruled out that Hussain is hiding somewhere in Delhi and he himself has spread the rumours about his missing. Whatever is the truth, but Hussain, who was once saved by the Delhi Police from being killed during the Delhi riots, is now an accused in the police record itself.

Mohammad Naki of Bijnor, had passed intermediate in 1972 as a humanities student when he was just 17. Fifty years later, this 67-year-old man cleared his intermediate exams again-- this time in the science stream--because he wanted to pursue his dream of becoming a <keyword id="174680" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="pharmacist" source="Orion">pharmacist</keyword>. "I was unable to pursue further education and had to start working early because family responsibilities came in the way," he told reporters. Naki has scored 72 per cent marks, which is even more that what his two granddaughters, Muskan(17) and Suhana (15) have got in their class 12 and class 10 exams respectively. "My family was not financially sound. After taking intermediate exams in the arts stream, I cleared some Urdu exams that were 'equivalent' to graduation and started working as a clerk at an inter-college in my native village. I worked there for around 10 years but my salary was very low. I had to eventually resign," he said. After resigning, Naki bought nine bighas of agricultural land and started growing flower crops. He used the flowers to work as a decorator. He later also set up an ayurveda practice. "My interest in ayurveda grew and I eventually started a small practice in Gurugram, where my son worked as a supplier of electrical goods. However, there was a raid on my street by health authorities and I was told I could not pursue the practice without a degree. I then went back to my village and met Neha Khan, a teacher at a local school, who guided me. She told me that I needed to secure a degree in naturopathy to become a hakeem. I therefore moved to Banda district and got a four-year diploma in natural yogic science," he said. After acquiring the diploma, Naki decided to study further and become a pharmacist. However, when he visited an Amroha-based pharmacy college, he was told that he needed to clear intermediate exams in the science stream, not humanities, to enrol. "This is when I decided to clear the tests again," he said. Naki said he was "publicly ridiculed" when he appeared for his exams at Bijnor's Kelanpur inter-college this year. "Students laughed at me and asked me what such an old person like me was doing there. But not everyone was negative. Some police personnel clicked my pictures and told me they would show it to their children to inspire them," he said. He further said that his mother, 100-year-old Aneesa, was 'overjoyed' after learning about his results. "She showered me with her blessings and some money," he said. Bulandshahr, Jul 15 () Two men wanted in various criminal cases were arrested after an encounter with police in the Syana area here, police said on Wednesday. The two were nabbed when they were injured following a brief exchange of fire on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday, they said. The duo has been identified as Shahnawaz Qureshi of Hapur district and Vinod of Moradabad district, police said. Qureshi carried a reward of Rs 25,000 on his head. He was wanted in a case registered under the Gangster Act as well as in cases of loot, murder among others in Bulandshahr, Meerut and Amroha, they said. (Eds: Adds details) Lucknow, Jun 16 () Uttar Pradesh reported 18 coronavirus deaths and 507 fresh cases on Tuesday, pushing the state's tally to 14,598, officials said. The death toll in the state stands at 435 now, they said. Among the 18 fresh deaths, three were reported from Agra, two each from Meerut and Bulandshahr one each from Moradabad, Jaunpur, Aligarh, Gonda, Amroha, Etawah, Kannauj, Shamli, Jhansi, Mau and Hamirpur, an official report said here. In the state, 69 deaths were reported from Agra, followed by 62 in Meerut, it said. Principal Secretary, Health, Amit Mohan Prasad said 8,904 people have recovered from the disease and the state has 5,259 active coronavirus cases. He said 13,966 tests were conducted in the state on Monday, adding that accredited social health activists (ASHAs) were visiting villages to trace those who have returned from other parts of the country. "ASHA workers have tracked 16.75 lakh migrant workers and among them, 1,463 were found with coronavirus symptoms," Prasad said. The state government's 1.23 lakh surveillance teams have surveyed over 93.42 lakh homes and covered 4.76 crore population, he said, adding that the Aarogya Setu application is also being used to track suspected COVID-19 patients. "Acting on alerts generated by the application, 83,462 people were called and given advise to protect themselves from the infection," the official added. Meanwhile, Gautambudha Nagar District Magistrate Suhas LY told that there was no bar on coronavirus patients or suspects from other districts or outside the state in getting medical treatment in Noida hospitals. In the state capital, 19 PAC personnel tested positive for coronavirus within three days and at least 80 people working for the Uttar Pradesh chief minister's helpline service here also tested positive. The helpline service '1076' has been outsourced to a company. While Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Satayarth Aniruddh Pankaj, who was transferred and put on waiting list, tested positive, Samajwadi Party MLA from the Shahganj seat in Jaunpur Shailendra Yadav Lalai also tested positive for the virus, official sources said.
