A few days back when Narendra Modi requested 1.3 billion people in India to opt for local goods, TikTok was among the many platforms that came under fire. Zoom faced a lot of heat for its unresolved security concerns which used to let hackers barge into any video calls. <br /><br />Thousands of people dropped negative comments which brought the ratings down from 4.5 star to 2.0. However, the ratings were back to 4.0 a few days later — more so Google did not comment on how that happened. <br /><br />Another similar incident happened in China, where thousands of students gave negative comments <strong><a href="https://www.odditycentral.com/news/quarantined-students-spam-homework-app-with-1-star-reviews-to-get-it-removed-from-app-store.html" data-type="tilCustomLink">about DingTalk </a> </strong>on the Apple play store to escape online classes. TikTok suspended Siddiqui’s account for violating “multiple community terms.”<br /><br />Twitter users who saw the video are angry and furious saying that Siddiqui should be behind the bars for promoting acid attacks on girls who reject marriage or relationship proposals.<br /><br />A large number of people including Rekha Sharma, chairperson of National Commission for women called for a ban on the application. Bollywood Star Anupam Kher too tweeted “Ban TikTok”. <br /><br />#BanTikTok has been the top trend on Twitter since 3 days now.
