How to activate Airtel 4G

Bharti <keyword id="15491" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Airtel">Airtel</keyword> is leaving no stone unturned to take on <keyword id="6354504" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Reliance-Jio">Reliance Jio</keyword>’s offers and has rolled out another data plan for customers. Now, Airtel is offering 10GB data for just Rs 259 all over India. 
 
Also, customers can avail a maximum of three recharges within 90 days. 
 
But, here is a catch. One GB data out of 10GB data will be instantly credited to the customer's account and the additional 9 GB data can be claimed by through the MyAirtel app. 
 
"This invitational offer has been designed for our data savvy customers who can now experience high speed broadband on Airtel's 4G network with their new devices,” said Ajai Puri, Director, Market Operations at Bharti Airtel. 
 
Initially, Airtel had launched this offer only for the buyers of Samsung Galaxy J series smartphones and later on it was rolled out in Gujarat. Now, it has been extended to all across India and is available across all brands of 4G handsets. 
 
Meanwhile, to counter Reliance Jio, Vodafone India too slashed data price for its prepaid and postpaid customers to allow 10 GB at a cost of 1 GB for new 4G smartphone users.

The <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Vodafone+">Vodafone </a>users in Delhi-NCR region will soon be able to switch to <keyword id="6493730" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="4G-services">4G services</keyword>. The second largest telecom operator in India is all set to introduce the high-speed mobile service from December 2015. 
 Apoorva Mehrotra, <keyword id="15492" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Vodafone">Vodafone</keyword> India business head for Delhi-NCR, said, "We are excited to launch our new <keyword id="122479" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="4G">4G</keyword> services on the superior 1800 MHz band for our customers. Having launched 4G services in several countries, Vodafone has the requisite expertise and experience to ensure that its service in Delhi/NCR will be best in class.” 
 
As per the company’s official statement, Vodafone has invested over Rs 350 crore to modernize, upgrade the existing voice and data network and had also installed more than 550 sites since the last 6 months. 
 
While announcing the successful testing of its <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=4G+services">4G services</a>, the Mumbai-headquartered telco said that it has shortlisted key corridors of Delhi-NCR for the 4G roll out that will take place in a phased manner. 
 
The Delhi-NCR region accounts for around 30% of the data revenues and is one of the top data markets for Vodafone in India. 
 
Besides this, Vodafone is investing heavily into high capacity Fibre/backhaul to significantly increase the Internet connectivity to the rest of the world, which will benefit all its data subscribers. 
 The 4G service, however, has been recently introduced by <keyword id="6354287" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Bharti-Airtel">Bharti Airtel</keyword> in Delhi-NCR region.

Airtel’s biggest rival to launch 4G service in Delhi-NCR by Dec 2015

After successful trials, <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/The-Markets-have-just-opened-and-Bharti-Airtel-shares-are-among-the-top-gainers-Know-why/articleshow/48354672.cms">Airtel</a>, one of the prominent telecom service providers in the country has formally launched its high-speed <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Airtel-launches-4G-trial-in-four-cities/articleshow/48202927.cms">4G services in 296 towns across India</a>. 
 
While Mukesh Ambani-owned Reliance Jio Infocomm is still gearing up to launch affordable 4G plans for Indian customers, Airtel’s 4G will be available across a range of smart devices including mobile phones, dongles, 4G hotspots and Wi-Fi dongles. 
 
<a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/topic/Airtel">Airtel’</a>s rivals Idea Cellular, Vodafone India and Reliance Communications have also announced launch plans for their respective 4G services - either later this year or early next year. 
 
"With the help of the feedback received from the beta launches, we have now built India's first commercial 4G network that will make high speed mobile broadband a reality. The national roll-out today is another small step in our journey to be the most innovative and customer focused brand," Gopal Vittal, MD &amp; CEO, Bharti Airtel (India &amp; South Asia) said, in a statement. 
 
"We also believe that an open platform is critical to developing an ecosystem that nurtures innovation and enabling our consumers to access a myriad sof possibilities on their mobile phones. Our 4G network is therefore built on an open partner ecosystem model that brings together the best in the industry and introduces the market to these never before experiences," Vittal added.

In addition, the telco has introduced a new range of 'Infinity Plans' starting Rs 999. These high-end plans offer unlimited voice calls on mobile (first time in India) along with data benefits and access to 'Wynk Movies' and 'Wynk Music', the company said in a press statement. 
 
The service provider is providing home delivery of SIMs and postpaid connections in four hours.

Bharti Airtel made the first move as it has<a href="https://www.teleanalysis.com/news/3g/airtel-shuts-down-3g-services-in-kolkata-31048"> shut down 3G services</a> in Kolkata, and all its customers were notified to upgrade to 4G handsets. New Delhi, Jul 6 () Bharti Airtel on Monday said it will give preference to platinum mobile customers, who pay Rs 499 and above per month for post paid connection, on its 4G network. The platinum customers will get better 4G speed on Bharti Airtel network compared to other customers. "Airtel has deployed advanced technologies that give its Platinum mobile customers preference on the network. As a result all Platinum customers will experience faster 4G speeds. As part of the Airtel Thanks program, all postpaid mobile customers on Rs 499 and above plans are designated as Platinum," the company said in a statement. In addition, Airtel Platinum customers will get "red carpet customer care" with preferential service at call centres and retail stores. "All Airtel call centres and retail stores have dedicated staff to attend to Platinum customers on priority and cut down on waiting time," the company said. Airtel will also home deliver 4G sim to platinum customers, according to the statement. "It has been our endeavour to offer a differentiated service experience to our Platinum mobile customers as part of the Airtel Thanks program. And that's where we will deliver that 'extra' service experience to them, including faster speeds by giving them preference on our 4G network, while continuing to serve each of our 280 million customers with the same passion," Bharti Airtel CMO Shashwat Sharma said. In the past few months, there have been a lot of changes in Airtel’s offerings to its customers, starting from up to 67% more data in existing 4G and 3G schemes, followed by free voice calling in roaming under a new plan for Rs 1,199.
