The fiery consequence of government’s demonetization move has now started showing up. Tired of being refused by shopkeepers from buying everyday necessities and food items, a bunch of cashless villagers at <keyword id="3839201" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="bardua">Bardua</keyword> village in <keyword id="6355554" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Madhya-Pradesh">Madhya Pradesh</keyword> have looted a public distribution system shop (<keyword id="54487" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="PDS">PDS</keyword>), popularly called ration stores. 
 
In what vented out in to anger, the villagers in Bardua lost their temper after owner refused them to accept the now-defunct Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currencies for groceries. 
 It all happened when those villagers went to buy food grains to the PDS and shop owner <keyword id="3839202" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="munnilal-ahirwar">Munnilal Ahirwar</keyword> refused to accept the old notes. The enraged people forces entered the shop and looted sacks of wheat, sugar and rice. <keyword id="963123" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Ahirwar">Ahirwar</keyword> , in a police complaint has blamed village sarchpanch <keyword id="3839200" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="nonhelal-patel">Nonhelal Patel</keyword> for the incident. On the defence, <keyword id="6362344" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Patel">Patel</keyword> alleged that Ahirwar had been misappropriating rations for long time.

Villagers looted ration shops in Madhya Pradesh
after the shop owner refused to accept old notes

Bhopal, Feb 10 (PTI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan appreciated the feat achieved by an auxiliary nurse midwife (ANM) who administered over 1 lakh doses of the COVID-19 vaccine without taking a single day off in the last one year, an official said on Thursday. In a message on Wednesday, the chief minister praised ANM Maya Ahirwar for her dedication. "Maya has set an example of obedience in performing her duties by not taking a single day off to administer over 1 lakh doses of the COVID-19 vaccine in a year from January 16, 2021 to February 7, 2022," Chouhan said. The health worker has set an example with her dedication and it will inspire others to perform their duties in a similar manner, he said, adding that that vaccination drive has been successful because of such dedicated persons. Ahirwar, who is posted at Chhatarpur district hospital, did not take any leaves since the COVID-19 vaccination drive commenced on January 16, 2021, an official from the state public relations department said. Madhya Pradesh has administered a total of 11,15,95,376 doses of COVID-19 vaccine, which includes 5,77,05,496 first doses, 5,30,91,911 second doses and 7,97,969 precaution doses, a health official said. The state's COVID-19 tally rose to 10,16,007 on Wednesday after 3,226 new cases were detected, while the toll reached 10,673 with the addition of five casualties, it was stated. PTI MAS ARU ARU

The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) today announced the result of class 10th. The pass percentage is 61.32%, an increase from 51.39% in 2018. Among the toppers for class 10th board exam are Gagan Dixit and Ayushman Tamrkar who secured 99.8% marks scoring 499 out of 500. Dipendra Kumar Ahirwar secured second rank with 497 marks. The third position is shared by six students who secured 496 out of 500. Girls outperformed boys even in Class 10 exams. The pass percentage among girls is 63.69 percent, while 59.15 percent boys passed the exams. The results are available on the official website of the board — mpbse.nic.in. Alternatively, the results can also be viewed on results.nic.in.
