<keyword id="6354583" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Salman-Khan">Salman Khan</keyword>’s latest movie <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Bajrangi-Bhaijaan-the-highest-grosser-of-2015/articleshow/48145585.cms">Bajrangi Bhaijaan</a> has taken the country by storm and has become the fastest-ever <keyword id="143" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Bollywood">Bollywood</keyword> movie to collect Rs 100 crores at the Box office. The movie, which portrays the emotional journey of an Indian man to Pakistan, has touched millions of hearts in both the countries and is even being called Salman Khan’s <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Why-is-Bajrangi-Bhaijaan-unlike-every-other-Salman-Khan-movie/articleshow/48112256.cms">best performance till date</a>. 
 
However, the producers of the movie have found themselves in a legal row about one particular song in the movie. The song is called <keyword id="2917013" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Bhar-Do-Jholi">Bhar Do Jholi</keyword> and features Pakistani singer <keyword id="255" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Adnan-Sami">Adnan Sami</keyword> as a qawwal who sings this qawwali at a Dargah in Pakistan. The song has been sung by Sami himself. 
 The producers’ rights over the song, however, have been questioned by a Pakistani qawwal called <keyword id="2935259" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Amjad-Sabri">Amjad Sabri</keyword>. He has claimed that the producers have used this song, which was his father <keyword id="2964942" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Ghulam-Farid-Sabri">Ghulam Farid Sabri</keyword>’s creation, without his consent. 
 
As per a report by Pakistani news channel Geo TV, the singer has decided to approach an Indian court over the matter. He has already applied for a visa and would soon be visiting the country to initiate the legal formalities. 
 Late Haji Ghulam Farid Sabri was a part of the singing duo <keyword id="12353" type="ENTERTAINMENT" weightage="80" keywordseo="Sabri-Brothers">Sabri Brothers</keyword>, along with his brother Haji Maqbool Sabri. The duo played a key role in popularizing the form of qawwali in the west by doing several international shows.

Lahore [Pakistan], February 11 (ANI): Pakistan's legendary poet and playwright Amjad <keyword id="16466638" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="islam-amjad" source="Orion">Islam Amjad</keyword> is no more. He was 78. As per Dawn, Amjad died of a heart attack on Friday in Lahore. After learning about the unfortunate news, singer Adnan Sami, who had collaborated with Amjad on several projects, extended his heartfelt condolences. Taking to Instagram, Adnan wrote, "Saddened to learn of legendary poet Amjad Islam Amjad Sahib's passing away...He was not only a literary genius but also a generous, warm and loving soul. Actor Imran Abbas, too, mourned the death of Amjad Islam Amjad. "End of an era. Amjad Islam Amjad Sahab is no more. Today is the saddest day for Urdu poetry. 'Waaris', 'Samandar', 'Waqt', 'Dehleez', 'Raat' and 'Apne Log' were among his most popular screenplays. He also translated the poetries of the African poets in Urdu called <keyword id="16466636" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="kale-logon" source="Orion">Kale Logon</keyword> ki <keyword id="16466634" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="roshan-nazmein" source="Orion">Roshan Nazmein</keyword>. The popular Bollywood song '<keyword id="16466635" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="man-ki-lagan" source="Orion">Man Ki Lagan</keyword>' was also written by Amjad. (ANI)

Poet Amjad Islam Amjad who wrote Man Ki Lagan, passes away at 78

The living legend of Kathak, <keyword id="5143" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="birju-maharaj" source="Orion">Birju Maharaj</keyword>, who had been diagnosed with kidney disease a few days ago and put on dialysis, died at his home here late on Sunday. He was 83. <keyword id="10032023" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="maharaj-ji" source="Orion">Maharaj ji</keyword>, as he was popularly known, was said to be playing with his grandsons when his health unexpectedly deteriorated, requiring him to be rushed to the hospital, where he died of a heart attack. A recipient of the country's second highest civilian honour, Padma Vibhushan, Maharaj ji was also a lifelong Kathak guru as well as a talented Hindustani classical singer and percussionist. He will be remembered by cinema buffs for the two period dance sequences in <keyword id="14969" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="satyajit-ray" source="Orion">Satyajit Ray</keyword>'s historical drama 'Shatranj Ke Khiladi' (for which he sang as well) and for the 'Kaahe Chhed Mohe' track picturised on Madhuri Dixit in the 2002 version of 'Devdas'. Maharaj ji won the National Award for choreographing 'Unnai Kaanadhu Naan' in the Kamal Haasan multi-lingual megahit 'Vishwaroopam' and the Filmfare Awards for the Bajirao Mastani number 'Mohe Rang Do Laal'. Adnan Sami, one of the first artistes to pay his tributes to the doyen of Kathak, said in a tweet: "Extremely saddened by the news about the passing away of Legendary Kathak Dancer <keyword id="12966839" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="pandit-birju" source="Orion">Pandit Birju</keyword> Maharaj ji. We have lost an unparalleled institution in the field of the performing arts. He has influenced many generations through his genius. May he rest in peace." Another early tribute came from Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, who tweeted: "Pandit Birju ji Maharaj was a doyen of India's art and culture. He popularised the Lucknow gharana of Kathak dance form around the world. ... His passing away is a monumental loss to the world of performing arts." Birju Maharaj was the son of the exponent of the Lucknow gharana, Jagannath Maharaj, better known as Acchan Maharaj, whom he lost when he was just nine. His uncles were the renowned Shambhu Maharaj and Lacchu Maharaj. He taught at the Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra and the Sangeet Natak Akademi <keyword id="1547242" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="kathak-kendra" source="Orion">Kathak Kendra</keyword>, both in Delhi, from where he retired as director in 1998.
