Crime Master Gogo is back, this time for a Disney+ Hotstar campaign

<keyword id="458611" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Aditya-Roy-Kapur">Aditya Roy Kapur</keyword> and <keyword id="89958" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Shraddha-Kapoor">Shraddha Kapoor</keyword> shared screen space for the first time in 2013, with the musical romance movie Aashiqui 2. The movie showed them as two fate-crossed lovers, who unite to get tragically separated, but the crackling chemistry between the two actors made news all around, and the two have been rumoured (or wished for) to be a real-life couple ever since. 
 
However, their fans were not getting a chance to see the two of them together on the screen, given that both of them got busy with their respective careers, until now that is. 
 The onus to bring them back onscreen had been taken up by <keyword id="3778" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Karan-Johar">Karan Johar</keyword>, who announced the lead pair some two months back and now has shared their first looks from the upcoming movie, which is titled <keyword id="3253758" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="OK-Jaanu">OK Jaanu</keyword>.

In the poster shared by Karan Johar, Shraddha is seen embracing Aditya from the back, while both of them are looking completely in love. 
 
The film is the Hindi remake of OK Kanmani, the 2015 Tamil romantic movie directed by Mani Ratnam. It is to be directed by Shaad Ali, while having its lyrics penned by Gulzar; the music will be composed by AR Rahman, who had also given the music for the original Tamil film.

The first day collection has made Malang Aditya Kapoor’s highest opening film ever. Here in, we have one sharp look at the professional journey of one of the most popular young actresses of Indian cinema. 
 
1. The first time we saw Shraddha Kapoor on the silver screen was when she donned the role of a studious geek Aparna Khanna who volunteers in a poker experiment. The year was 2010 and the movie that marked her debut was <keyword id="16035" type="ENTERTAINMENT" weightage="100" keywordseo="Teen-Patti">Teen Patti</keyword>, in which she starred along Amitabh Bachchan and R. Madhavan. The movie could not do well at the box office, resulting in a career setback for Shraddha. Reportedly, she also lost her role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s My Friend Pinto because of the movie’s failure. 
 
2. Next year, in 2011, we saw her as a girl next door who gets her heart broken and plans revenge in <keyword id="595028" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Luv-ka-the-End">Luv Ka The End</keyword>. She shared the screen space with Taaha Shah and Ali Zafar. The film was the first production venture of Y-Films, Yash Raj Films’ division for making youth-centric films. Although the film went unnoticed, Shraddha’s performance was appreciated by critics. 
 
3. After taking a year-long break, the young Kapoor lass returned to the screens with the musical romantic saga Aashiqui 2. The movie, which also had Aditya Roy Kapur, was highly successful and Shraddha Kapoor was noticed for her good looks as well as acting prowess. 
 
4. Next in line for the lady was a guest role in Dharma Productions’ Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, in which she played Vasudha, a Tamilian girl in love with a Sikh boy. The lead pair of the movie was Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor, and Shraddha’s role was limited to a few scenes. 
 
5. Came 2014 and Shraddha was seen as Ayesha in another musical romantic thriller Ek Villain. Her role was that of a young girl who falls in love with a goon and transforms him into a family man, only to be killed by a psychopath killer. Her role in the movie was limited to a few flashback scenes other than some songs, given the fact that her character gets killed in the first 15 minutes. 
 
6. Towards the end of 2014, we saw the pretty lady doing a role in Haider, for ace director Vishal Bhardwaj. She portrayed the role of Arshiya, a young Kashmiri journalist in love with the main lead, played by Shahid Kapoor. Her performance and hard work in the movie to get into the skin of a Kashmiri girl were appreciated. 
 
7. She also did an item number, called Dance Basanti, in the movie Ungli. 
 
8. In 2015, she would be seen in Remo D’souza’s next <keyword id="1870207" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="ABCD-2">ABCD 2</keyword>, which is the sequel to 2013’s ABCD: Any Body Can Dance. She is paired opposite Varun Dhawan and portrays a dancer in the movie. Reportedly, she has been working hard to get into the shoes of a dancer. The movie would release in June 2015. 
 
9. She would also began shooting for Rock On 2, the sequel to Rock On!!, which released in 2008. The movie would also stars Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal and Purab Kohli and would be shot in Shillong. 
 
10. Other than acting, Shraddha Kapoor also has a passion for singing, given her relations with Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhonsle, two of India’s most reputed singers. Shraddha’s mother Shivangi Kapoor is the daughter of Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhonsle’s paternal aunt. Shivangi herself is a trained singer, and Shraddha has surely got her singing skills from her. This is the view held by five brokerage firms — ICICI Securities/Direct, Motilal Oswal, Prabhudas Lilladher and ShareKhan. They believe that good movies can help them replicate the March success which came with superhits like the controversial Kashmir Files; Rajamouli’s RRR, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period drama Gangubai Kathiawadi, followed up by KGF 2 in April. “They witnessed a March — which was the best ever in the history, led by superlative performances of movies,” ICICI Direct said in its views on PVR and INOX both. The March footfalls made up for half of the Jan-March quarters footfalls in theaters. But both these companies need more than a good month to turn things around. A strong recovery in footfalls and sales of these listed theatre companies will be driven by ‘strong content slate lines’, as per ICICI Direct. If all goes well, it estimates that both these companies can cross their pre-covid earnings in the current financial year. These companies are in desperate need of a ‘recovery worthy’ movie releases. All the three Khans have movies planned this year — which had become a rare occurrence even in the years before the pandemic. Aamir Khan has Lal Singh Chaddha, that’s a remake of Tom Hanks’ Forrest Gump. Salman Khan also promises another movie from his formulaic stable — called Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. The King of Khans — Shah Rukh Khan too is releasing a movie after four years called Pathan. The fact that these Khan movies are ‘much-awaited’ can help drive footfalls. INOX CEO Alok Tandon spoke of an influx of good releases in FY23, in a conversation with Business Insider India. “2022 or financial year 2023 will be one of the best for the Indian film industry… I feel like we have some very, very strong lineup,” Tandon said. He also confirmed that March was their best month yet and the movie business had been operating in limited capacity over the last few years due to Covid-19. content quality might affect footfalls and advertising revenue growth, inability to take adequate price hikes at the right time might affect earnings given rising input cost, and inability to maintain cost savings initiatives likely to impact operating profitability,” a ShareKhan report read. A lot of high profile releases also fell flat in the months ahead of March. There was a big buzz around Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone-starrer 83 — which was based on the 1983 cricket world cup that India won. However, it disappointed movie distributors as it was declared a theatrical flop. Singh’s Jayeshbhai Jordaar too did not live up to its expectations. Kangana Ranaut’s Dhakkad, Akshay Kumar’s Bachchan Pandey, Prabhas’ Radhe Shyam too failed to impress the audiences. Apart from 83, all the other movies were released after India had overcome the third Covid-19 wave. Pushpa and Spider Man in the Hindi belt — both released in December along with 83 — were among the few movies that managed to do well despite Omicron fears.
