After the investment, Aditya Birla Capital will hold 45.91% stake and Momentum Metropolitan Holdings will have a 44.10% stake in the company. ADIA will be the third partner in the insurance company which was formed as joint venture between Aditya Birla Capital and Momentum Metropolitan Strategic Investments; in 2016. The health insurance company plans to use this capital to drive growth. Abu Dhabi Investment Authority invests ₹665 crore in Aditya Birla Health Insurance

Government-owned and listed insurer, the <keyword id="47873" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="new-india" source="Orion">New India</keyword> Assurance Company Ltd closed FY22 with a net profit of Rs 164.27 crore, down from Rs 1,604.69 crore logged during FY21. The company's solvency margin also dropped to 1.66 times at the end of FY22 from 2.13 times at the end of FY21. While all other lines of business showed operating profit - including the motor - the company's profit was drawn down by the huge operating loss in the health insurance segment. Last fiscal, the operating loss under the health insurance segment was Rs 4,843.93 crore, against Rs 1,459.97 crore posted during FY21. However, the coverage limit under such plans are generally low, typically in the range of ₹30,000 for normal deliveries and ₹50,000 for C-section deliveries. When purchasing health insurance, it's important to consider the waiting period before coverage begins. “Keep in mind that if you are already pregnant, you will not be covered. A good time to purchase maternity coverage is when getting married or renewing your health insurance plan. Waiting periods can vary from insurer to insurer, ranging from 9 months to several years. Any expenses arising due to pregnancy complications are also covered. The policy also covers any number of medically necessary and lawful terminations. Hospital expenses of the baby up to 90 days are also covered and includes any post-natal care and required vaccinations during the specified period as well. The cost of vaccinations alone in the first three months may range between ₹5,000- ₹10,000. Policies with a super top-up, are of course, slightly cheaper. There may be some terms and conditions differentiations when one opts for base plus super top-up combination. “One should be careful at the time of purchase for consistency in terms and conditions. There are options available in the market which are ground up ₹1 crore coverage and do not put any restrictions of room rent, 100% bill payment, and even provide day one coverage for buyers,” says Rupinderjit Singh, vice president - retail health, ACKO. The room rent limit in health insurance refers to the maximum amount that the insurance policy will cover for hospital room charges during a patient's stay. The role of marketing is to identify such changes ahead of the curve &amp; align resources accordingly. Information seeking/ handholding was the logical next (first) step and that’s what’s going to be mainstream. Going further, neutral enabling platforms will equip potential customers with information and tools to make right choices. Marketing: Trends to watch out for in the BFSI sector in 2022

As the deadline for the submission of binding bids approaches, the bidders of <keyword id="6360090" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="reliance-capital" source="Orion">Reliance Capital</keyword>, including Hinduja, Torrent, Zurich, and Piramal have flagged off various legal issues to the lenders and Administrator, involving Reliance Capital and its subsidiaries. These legal issues involve a cumulative liability of Rs 22,000 crore, and they need quick resolution for the successful closure of RCAP's resolution plan. According to sources, the bidders are likely to make a condition precedent of these issues to any payment to the lenders. The two big issues flagged off by the bidders are the impending resolution of <keyword id="3649632" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="reliance-home-finance-ltd" source="Orion">Reliance Home Finance Ltd</keyword> (<keyword id="1590678" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="rhfl" source="Orion">RHFL</keyword>) and the legal battle between the Administrator and IDBI Trusteeship for the control of <keyword id="157626" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="reliance-general-insurance" source="Orion">Reliance General Insurance</keyword>'s shares, which is pending in the NCLT. Authum Investment and Infrastructure Ltd had been selected as the successful bidder for RHFL in June 2021, but the resolution process has not yet been completed due to various litigation involving the debenture holders. The total debt of RHFL is Rs 11,500 crore. As far as Reliance General Insurance is concerned, the Independent actuarial <keyword id="5413795" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="tower-watson" source="Orion">Tower Watson</keyword> has valued this business at Rs 9,500 crore. Apart from these, the two other legal cases flagged off by the bidders are Axis Bank's claim of Rs 150 crore against Reliance Capital, which the bank has lost in the NCLT, and a case involving Administrator and IndusInd Bank, involving arbitration of Nippon Asset Management shares. The total liability in this matter is Rs 650 crore. The last date for submitting binding bids is November 28. The quick resolution of these legal matters is a challenge for the Administrator for the successful closure of the RCAP resolution plan. Reliance Capital had received 14 non-binding bids for its multiple businesses. Six companies had submitted bids for the entire company, while the rest of the bidders had submitted bids for its multiple subsidiaries. Torrent, IndusInd, Oaktree, Cosmea Financial, Authum Investment, and B Right Real Estate have submitted bids in the range of Rs 4,000 crore to Rs 4,500 crore for Reliance Capital's entire assets. For Reliance General Insurance business, Piramal Finance has bid Rs 3,600 crore, while <keyword id="1657992" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="zurich-insurance" source="Orion">Zurich Insurance</keyword>'s bid is Rs 3,700 crore. The third bidder, Advent, has bid Rs 7,000 crore for Reliance General Insurance. Jindal Steel and Power and <keyword id="8564251" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="uvarc" source="Orion">UVARC</keyword> have submitted bids for Reliance Capital's ARC business. For other assorted assets of Reliance Capital, 3 bidders -- Choice Equity, Global Fincap, and <keyword id="15413642" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="grand-bhawan" source="Orion">Grand Bhawan</keyword> -- have submitted the bids. RCAP's life insurance business, <keyword id="15259421" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="rnlic" source="Orion">RNLIC</keyword>, had not received any bid, but later on Aditya Birla Capital and Nippon Life Insurance, which is already holding 49 per cent equity in RNLIC, have evinced interest in acquiring RCAP's 51 per cent stake in this business. Reliance Capital bidders flag off multiple legal issues involving Rs 20,000 crore liability

Mumbai, Apr 3 () The Aditya Birla Group on Friday committed Rs 500 crore towards Covid-19 relief measures, of which Rs 400 crore will go to the PM-CARES Fund. This is one of the highest contributions from a corporate till date. The Kumar Mangalam Birla-led USD 48.3 billion conglomerate will be contributing Rs 400 crore to the PM-CARES Fund, Rs 50 crore to FICCI-Aditya Birla CSR Centre for Excellence for Covid-19 relief measures and Rs 50 crore to supply ventilators, masks and protective equipment, a statement said. A host of leaders from India Inc have been pooling-in resources to fight the pandemic, which has affected over 2,400 people in India and also taken 60 lives already. "Given the severity of the disruption, there is a compelling need for a multi-pronged response that includes financial and material support, healthcare assistance and community responsibility," Rajashree Birla, the chairperson of Aditya Birla Centre for Community Initiatives and Rural Development, said. Apart from this, the group will be activating a 100-bed Covid-19 facility at Seven Hills Hospital in suburban Mumbai, in partnership with the city's civic body, to be spearheaded by Neerja Birla, the statement said. It has also earmarked more than 200 beds for Covid-19 patients across locations including Ujjain, Pune, Hazaribagh, Rayagada, Solapur and Kharach. The Rs 50 crore allocation for equipment will include supply of 1 million N95 masks, 2.80 lakh personal protective equipment (PPE) as well as ventilators, it said. The statement said the group, which also has interests in textiles, has already commenced production of 1 million triple layer surgical masks and 1 lakh coverall garments with the support of the Textiles Ministry. It has also involved community and self-help groups in home production of lakhs of masks across several locations and is undertaking awareness activities in 200 locations. "The Aditya Birla Group recognizes that no contribution can be too large or small, given the enormity of the pandemic. Every effort counts. The Group will continue to extend whatever support is feasible to help fight the pandemic and restore normalcy," it said. Meanwhile, in a separate statement, the Neerja Birla-headed initiative for mental health, MPower, announced a round-the-clock helpline in partnership with the Maharashtra government and the financial capital's civic body to help people. Mumbai, Jan 31 () Aditya Birla Capital, the holding company of the financial services verticals of the AV Birla Group, on Friday reported a 17 per cent growth in consolidated net income to Rs 250 crore for the December quarter.
 Its consolidated revenue rose 13 per cent to Rs 4,645 crore, the company said.
 It added that the overall lending book (NBFC and housing finance combined) stood at Rs 60,123 crore at the end of the quarter. The NBFC loan book rose to Rs 47,933 crore, led by a steep 30 per cent growth in the retail book. The bottomline was boosted by a 41-basis point expansion in the net interest margin to 5.24 per cent.
 The housing finance loan book grew 13 per cent to Rs 12,190 crore, maintaining a net interest margin to 3 per cent, the company said. 
 The cost-to-income ratio improved to 49 from 58 in the previous year, led by scale and operating efficiencies, helping post better bottomline.
 The affordable loan book has grown significantly with 1.8 times growth, helping its quarterly profit of the vertical clip at 31 per cent to Rs 27 crore.
 The insurance arms (life and health) saw gross premium grow 18 per cent to Rs 2,366 crore, led by a 14 per cent growth in individual first year premium, helping double the net value of new business to 10.4 per cent from 5.2 per cent.
 The health insurance business saw gross written premium jumping 73 per cent to Rs 547 crore. 
 The asset management company business reported an average assets under management (AAUM) of Rs 2,65,475 crore, of which domestic equity AAUM grew 6 per cent, contributing 37 per cent of the overall domestic AAUM.

Aditya Birla Capital net income rises 17 pc to Rs 250 cr

New Delhi, Jan 31 () Aditya Birla Capital on Friday reported a rise of 17 per cent in its consolidated net profit at Rs 250 crore for third quarter ended December 31, 2019.
 It had posted a net profit of Rs 214 crore during the corresponding October-December period of the previous fiscal year.
 Income of the company grew by 13 per cent to Rs 4,645 crore during the quarter under review of 2019-20, from Rs 4,118 crore in year ago period, Aditya Birla Capital (ABCL) said in a release.
 "Considering the current business environment, the company continues to follow a disciplined approach in terms of balancing growth with a strong focus on the quality of business," it said.
 The company which is engaged in housing finance, insurance (life and non-life) business, said it will continue to have strong focus on quality and reduced ticket sizes across the board.
 Overall lending book (NBFC and housing finance) was at Rs 60,123 crore at end of December 2019.
 Total average assets under management (AAUM) at company's mutual fund was Rs 2,65,475 crore by the end of third fiscal of 2019-20, it said.

Last Saturday, the young musician launched her debut international single ‘Livin’ the life’ in a glitzy event in Mumbai which was attended by <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=hrithik+roshan&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Hrithik Roshan</a>, Sooraj Pancholi, Dino Morea and Sohail Khan. A mix of EDM and pop, the track has been mixed by Dutch DJ <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=afrojack&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Afrojack</a> and composed and written by Ananya and American producer Jim Beanz. The duo then recorded the track at a studio in Philadelphia. 
 
The single was a result of a one-year long collaboration between her and Beanz, who has previously worked with international popstars Demi Lovato, Nelly Furtado to name a few. 
 
“Livin’ the Life’ is all about celebrating life and spreading love and kindness in the world. By coming out of adversity, one can start to see beauty, and that’s how the song came about,” she states when asked about the inspiration for her debut single. 
 
Many would call this shift of hers from a successful entrepreneur to the newest musician on the block unforeseen, but as it turns out, it was always on the cards. 
 
 
 
 
Ananya’s tryst with music began early. She played the santoor and guitar while growing up and counts The Fray, Ed Sheeran and Cheryl Cole as her inspiration. 
 
However, it was only during her time at University of Oxford, did the musician inside her breathe life. Singing and playing the guitar at live gigs became a regular occurrence so much so that in two years, she had performed at over 70 gigs and in essence, found her calling. 
 
She now writes lyrics, composes music and has plans to launch a soul and R&amp;B album soon. Infact, she has already started writing her next track. It goes without saying that music consumes her. 
 
When you ask Ananya, what music means to her, pat comes the reply. “To me, music is about life in totality and love in its purest form. It’s about capturing and expressing your emotions and celebrating everything about life.” 
 
Ananya is quite clear about one thing- her future as a musician doesn’t necessary have to intertwine with Bollywood. Instead, her priority is to give people access to music platforms through her organisation, One.
