At its peak, the positivity rate in the state had crossed 50 per cent. When the shutdown of bars and restaurants was imposed in mid-May, food and beverage business establishments were not allowed to entertain guests and patrons, but were allowed to run their kitchens and facilitate home deliveries of food products. It claims to be helping 100 enterprise clients, who have processed over one million images and 20,000 autonomous flights via its platform. “Aerial intelligence is a theme that has immense potential as it provides significant cost, time and accuracy benefits for large infrastructure companies which face frequent cost and time overruns. Skylark has built an indigenous platform that facilitates quick mobilisation of independent drone pilots, enabling them to run drone missions to gather aerial images of large worksites,” Amit Behl, partner at Info Edge Venture fund said in a statement. Zomato investor Info Edge has invested in a drone startup helping Swiggy make deliveries

The <keyword id="66" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Delhi">Delhi</keyword> government has finally made its new excise policy public, permitting hotels, clubs and restaurants in the national capital to serve Indian or foreign liquor in any area within the licensed premises, including the terrace, balcony or lower area till 3 a.m. The much debated new excise policy aims to introduce sweeping changes in the city's liquor business, clean up malpractices, and improve user experience. According to the details available on its website, the policy allows microbreweries to supply draught beer to bars and also provide takeaway services. It said that wherever draught beer is being served as a takeaway, clear signage and information will be needed to put up about its short shelf life and the bottles will have to mention the expiry date clearly. It further stated that draught beer shall also be allowed to be served at permitted events, banquet halls that have temporary licences such as P-10, P-10E etc. The policy clearly states that establishments found selling draught beer after its expiry date will immediately have its license revoked. However, the new policy made no mention about reducing the legal drinking age from 25 years to 21 years, as had earlier been announced. The AAP-led Delhi government has already made it clear that the new excise policy has been framed promoting private players in the business up to 100 per cent. Keeping in view the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) protocols in place, the new policy strictly prohibits crowding outside a vendor on the pavement and buying through the counter. Policy will also allow bars in hotels, restaurants and clubs to operate till 3 a.m., "except those licensees which have been given license to operate round the clock service of liquor." In the new policy, the number of retail liquor vends has been capped at 849 in the city. These include five super premium retail vends that will have a minimum carpet area of 2,500 Sq Ft. The super premium vends can sell products only above ₹200 for beer and above ₹1,000 retail price for all other spirits, including but not limited to <keyword id="11578972" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="whiskey-gin">Whiskey, Gin</keyword>, Vodka, <keyword id="402734" type="ENTERTAINMENT" weightage="20" keywordseo="Brandy">Brandy</keyword> etc. With the new policy, the Delhi government expects its revenue to grow by 20 per cent in a year. It is not too difficult today for a small tweet to snowball into a boycott trend, something that is every marketers’ and agency’s nightmare. At the same time, when brands have a presence on social media, they start having an opinion or a voice. If brands err on the side of caution, they are simply selling products to consumers and not engaging with them on a personal level. There will always be users who support the brand for standing up and fighting for causes they believe in but there will also be those who would oppose them at the slightest disagreement. GenZ is also becoming increasingly aware of how advertising works and is able to separate grey from black. They view brands as a form of self-expression and to connect with them, brands are also expected to go beyond just selling their products. They are known to connect with brands that they feel are socially and environmentally conscious. So, while many experts advise brands to steer clear of religious topics or make any political statements, there’s also pressure on brands and companies to take firm stands on issues that matter to these young consumers. As brands try to find the balance between making the right statement and offending a majority in the coming year, here are a few brands who found themselves in troubled waters this year: Manyavar Bridal wear brand Mohey had released a commercial that aimed to offer a fresh perspective to the Hindu wedding ritual 'Kanyadaan.' With its campaign featuring Alia Bhatt, Mohey promoted women empowerment and gave a more gender-sensitive touch to the age-old tradition of ‘Kanyandaan’ in Hindu weddings and insisted on bringing in ‘Kanyamaan’ instead. “Through the film, Mohey’s brand ambassador Alia Bhatt questions the conventional beliefs that require a daughter to conform to being ‘given away’ at her wedding. She makes a choice on her wedding day to rethink rituals, stating what Kanyadaan means in modern times, making it more equal and progressive for her present and future generations,” explained its press release. However, this campaign did not sit well with Twitter users. It flared up a controversy on social media and the hashtag #BoycottManyavar started trending on Twitter. The ace designer behind it, <keyword id="7202" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="sabyasachi-mukherjee" source="Orion">Sabyasachi Mukherjee</keyword>, decided to withdraw the campaign after it triggered an avalanche of online trolling for hurting religious sentiments. However, after opening their doors to viewers in the second half of 2021, theatres are back to the pre-pandemic level of collections this month. Inox Leisure’s chief programming officer, Rajender Singh Jyala, said, “Last three months have been good for us. On average, we are clocking more than ₹1000-1500 crore every month.” Sharing which movies set the ball rolling at the multiplex chain this year, Jyala added, “Movies RRR and Gangubai Kathiawadi pushed the recovery. Before that, Kashmir Files and now with Bhool Bhulaiya 2, our footfalls and domestic ticket sales are at pre-pandemic level or even better.” With eagerly-awaited Bollywood movies such as Prithviraj, Brahmastra, and Lal Singh Chaddha slated to be released in the next three to four months, Jyala is optimistic that the momentum will continue this year. With its current progression, 2022 might turn out to be a golden year for the cinema industry, driven by home-grown content. Media consulting firm Ormax Media’s Partner, Gautam Jain, said, “The overall domestic <keyword id="25892" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="box-office" source="Orion">box office</keyword> collections have crossed the ₹4000 crore gross mark from January to April. This is the highest gross box office collection for January to April since 2018." "Given this growth trajectory and looking at the line-up of films slated to release this year, a gross box office collection of ₹12,000 crore looks possible, which would make this year the highest ever in terms of the gross box office [collection]," he further added. While INOX has reverted to the pre-pandemic level on all metrics, Ormax Jain said that the cinema industry’s overall footfalls and ticket sales are still lower than the pre-pandemic levels. Explaining why the gross box office revenue is higher than 2019 while footfalls continue to be low, Jain said, “The gross box office collections are higher due to the ticket prices being higher by 15-30% across languages. The ticket prices have increased even in south markets.” Cinema-lovers ignore soaring inflation, theatres remain unaffected As the cinema industry jumped past the first major roadblock that COVID-19 threw in its path, it faced another challenge this month – soaring inflation. The rise in inflation has affected all industries. The Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry has resorted to hiking its product prices and shrinking its products across its portfolio. Theatres have also raised their prices for movie tickets and food &amp; beverages (F&amp;B) by 5 to 20% in different parts of the country. However, audiences returning to the big screen, after being deprived of the theatrical experience for close to two years, seem to be indifferent to the price increase. “The rise in the prices of movie tickets and F&amp;B in line to cover inflation seems to be reasonable. Average ticket prices have risen by about 8 to 10% and over 15% in some states and cities. At the same time, the F&amp;B prices have increased between 5 to 10%. The pinch of price increase seems to be ignored by the patrons as both occupancy levels (irrespective of pricing) and the spending on F&amp;B increased during the period,” said consulting and advisory firm Deloitte India’s Partner, Chandrashekhar Mantha. He calls the steady recovery in this quarter a result of ‘revenge consumption trend,’ wherein consumers are trying to catch up on everything they missed out on in the last two years. The movie industry’s strong content pipeline has also struck a chord with the audience, further pushing the recovery. Multiplex chain INOX hasn’t felt the inflation’s impact either. While it has increased its movie ticket and F&amp;B prices by 5-10% across its 675 screens, its sales and footfall continue to go up. “The increase is not on that level wherein consumers can feel the pinch in their pockets. It is between 5 to 10%. In fact, spends on F&amp;B and the ticket sales that we're seeing is more than the pre-pandemic level,” Jyala told Business Insider India. On the other hand, Ormax Media’s Jain said that small budget films are feeling the impact of inflation and movie-goers are choosing to watch only big-ticket movies that seem to be worth their money. “Audiences are choosing to watch films that offer a theatrical big screen experience such as RRR or KGF Chapter 2 or spectacle films like Doctor Strange or Spider-Man or a collective experience Bhool Bhulaiya 2 or Saunkan Saunkne. Films that did not offer this, failed to get the audiences – for example Jayeshbhai Jordaar or Jersey," said Jain. "Apart from the ticket prices, since the audiences are aware of the eventual OTT premieres now and are exposed to OTT viewing, any film that does not fit the above criteria has failed to get a decent opening weekend as well,” he said. However, it is too soon to tell. Bollywood movies such as Jayeshbhai Jordaar or Jersey also failed to rake in numbers because they didn’t leave a good impression on critics. Regional movies jump ahead Regional movies like KGF 2.0, RRR and Pushpa have been reporting recording-breaking revenue collections at the box office, surpassing Hindi movies like Jayeshbhai Jordaar, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 so far. KGF 2.0 breached ₹800 crore revenue market in terms of net box office collection, which was slightly higher than RRR at ₹720 crore, revealed analytics and financial firm Elara Capital. The small to medium budget films in regional markets have reported a net box office collection of ₹50-55 crore each. On the other hand, recently released Hindi films have not been able to breach the ₹25-30 crore mark, which is a 50% less target than regional. “Relaxation of Average Ticket Price (ATP) cap in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana markets is one of the reasons for regional content reporting higher Box Office collections. The next big regional film release slated for June 3 – Vikram, may collect ₹150-175 crore net in terms of lifetime box office collection,” said Karan Taurani, Senior VP - Research Analyst, Elara Capital. A bright year ahead The rest of the year will see some major releases such as Akshay Kumar’s Prithiviraj, Aamir khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha, Varun Dhawan’s Jug Jug Jiyo, Ayushman Khurana’s Doctor G and Anek. From the regional markets, Virata Parvam of Rana Dugabatti, Rocketry: The Nambi Effect of R. Madhavan, Agent of Mamotty, Ravansura of Ravi Teja, the star-studded Vikram, are lined up for the second half of 2022. The Hollywood releases will further strengthen this pipeline. So, the year ahead looks bright for the movie exhibition industry. Analysts and movie exhibitors are confident about seeing a continued growth momentum in the next half.

On the other hand, a Fan is someone who is an enthusiastic devotee or admirer of something. In business context, a person who admires a particular brand, does its positive word of mouth, and keeps on bringing new business is a Fan of that particular brand. 
The journey of converting a foreigner to a fan of a brand can’t be defined through pushing products for sale, it has to be driven through emotional connect. Emotions build relationships between brands and consumers, create aspirations, develop respect, build trust, create memories and so on. The game has everything from torture to plane hopping stunts and cheekily offensive terms to the R-rated action. Having been in the market since 2013, Rockstar Games has sold around 90 million copies of the game worldwide according to <a href="https://www.marketwatch.com/story/this-violent-videogame-has-made-more-money-than-any-movie-ever-2018-04-06">Marketwatch</a>. Since the game pans across all the platforms, the sales account for all the versions including PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC. Not only has GTA V seen massive sales, but it has amassed approximately $6 billion in revenue. The number is impressive enough on it’s own but when you compare it to the revenue generated by our cinematic universe, it really puts things in perspective. GTA V came out in 2013, when Bollywood was releasing movies like <keyword id="227940" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Chennai-Express">Chennai Express</keyword>, Race 2, and Kai Po Che. These were the highest grossing movies that year but even then, Chennai Express, which was ahead of the rest, only managed to generate $67 million in revenue. Even Rohit Shetty’s stunts could not match up to being able fly one plane into another. It’s invariable in the long run as well if you analyse the highest grossing movies in Bollywood overall. Including titles like <keyword id="6358210" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Dangal">Dangal</keyword>, <keyword id="3345286" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="secret-superstar">Secret Superstar</keyword>, <keyword id="2411684" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Bajrangi-Bhaijaan">Bajrangi Bhaijaan</keyword> and PK, the most they’ve been able to earn is $291 million. Aamir Khan can have all the screen presence in the world but, GTA V’s story pulls you into its darkly comic world. And here’s some more perspective, even evergreen content like Dilwaale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Hum Aapke Hain Kaun have fallen short at around $52 million. What really adds context to the $6 billion dollars generated by GTA V is the fact that despite their popularity and production value, even Hollywood movies don’t measure up. Epic features like Star Wars and Gone with the Wind get left in the dust at $3 billion. The reality of the situation is that GTA has more versions to its name than the Fast and Furious movies, and they’ve been building their fanbase for a long time now. The game operates on the edge of being plausible. But, no matter, the main characters remain relatable through and through. In all honesty, the gaming industry has always been bigger than both Hollywood and Bollywood. Any all-rounding game not only has direction, a narrative, originality and amazing stunts but also something that the film industry can’t provide - they give you a chance be a part of the story.

There’s a huge confusion over Maggi. This is mainly due to the huge disparity between the official claims by India’s food regulator FSSAI and Nestlé. 
 
Devindar Sharma, Food and Trade Policy Analyst agrees. “Nestlé should demonstrate Maggi is safe. If that doesn’t happen, it would send out a wrong message that FSSAI can let the big fish get away”, he says. 
 
Nestlé’s website claims the brand has decided to take its noodles off the shelves in spite of it being safe. The company’s latest press release reads, “MAGGI Noodles are completely safe and have been trusted in India for over 30 years.”

While India’s statutory food safety and standards agency FSSAI released an official statement confirming the presence of excess Lead, misleading labeling of ‘No added MSG’, and a ‘non-standardized food product’: Maggi Oats Masala Noodles. 
 
The brawl’s heating up with government officials, NGOs and the media fuelling the fire. 
 
So what’s the way forward when India’s largest noodles brand gets banned? 
“The company shouldn’t be in the denial mode. The more they deny the more damage it’ll beget. The brand should rework the product to make it fully compliant. It can then initiate a strong ad campaign to convince customers. It is undoubtedly a challenge”, Arvind Singhal, Chairman at Management Consulting firm Technopak says. 
 
Speaking of consumer skepticism and strong ad campaigns, one can’t help but reflect on the 2003-2007 Pesticide Controversy Cola companies faced, and the ads they floated.

Focus on making High Quality Core Product Nothing Beats Quality, Still. One unique thing which was quite evident in both the blockbusters was the superlative script, high octane performances by the cast, top notch direction and overall a very well-crafted film that leaves you feeling inspired as well gives you full bang for your buck. While last two years saw crass comedies and run of the mill films also crossing 100 cr, both these films teach us that it's very important to get the core product which is script, acting and direction right for the end result to be of high impact. Similarly, co-working spaces, while requiring all the bells and whistles like new age fancy architecture and gadgetry, also need to get the core right i.e comfortable ergonomic seating, high speed internet, availability of conference rooms, F&amp;B, thinking space and most importantly, a curated ,well designed community and activities. The brands need to bring the best of the breed mentors, collaborations, partners and services to make the experience of co-working a delight. The workplace should be such that people look forward to coming to office to work and stay motivated to make the dent in the universe that they aspire to. 2. By getting Karan Johar to present the movie in part 2, movie franchise deal, S S Rajamouli pulled off a major scoop by covering all the major movie markets of India between two of them like Hindi, Telugu, Tamil , &amp; Malayalam making it the biggest Pan India hit till date . Co-working spaces are an essential bridge between need and fulfillment .On one side you have a high energy, disruptive linkster and millennial workforce with demand of technology, capital, guidance and customers and on the other side, the right collaborations. An apt or prefect collaboration has to be in place to provide the necessary services, mentorship, partnerships and access to global collaborative networks to make it happen for the tenants. 3. Dangal Released in India and was a smash hit and could have been content with Rs 500 cr. it made in India and Rs 250 cr in Europe and Americas. But being Mr. Perfectionist , Aamir khan decided to play the Chinese checkers and as on date out of the whopping 2000 Cr gross Dangal has managed to collect around Rs 1200 cr from China only, Yes China, you read it right, a big market for Hollywood films but hitherto never exploited to its full potential by Bollywood movies .Meanwhile Baahubali 2 is also smashing domestic and overseas records with a total of around 1800 cr till date &amp; considering China’s new found fondness for Bollywood, it can easily cross Rs 2500 cr or maybe even Rs 3000 cr . This shows how global collaborations can truly change the game for Indian service providers and can scale new heights by such partnerships. Few example recent collaborations like Vikarm Solar tie up Israel’s Water-Gen and Creator’s Gurukul, collaborated with Global Leaders like F6S and Startup Grind from Europe and <keyword id="6357722" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="silicon-valley">Silicon Valley</keyword> respectively to curate a truly global experience. 5. Community Building Love Thy Neighbor These two mega hits built a clan of Fan-boys and Fan-girls giving the movies a cult status of a kind unheard in Bollywood till date. While it was rooting for women power “Mhari Choriya Chorro se kum hain ke” from Dangal to curiosity around the question that the entire Nation wanted to know” Kattapa Ne Baabhubali Ko Kyu Maara?”, whereby the marketing team hacked virality and social media, so well, that it created an entire legion of Baahubali aficionados leading to unprecedented frenzy around these movies. The shared values among the fans created a sense of togetherness and debuted a new kind of community around Bollywood films. Similarly, what differentiates a co-working space, at the most from a typical office, is that people with different strong suited, capabilities and know how help each other in the areas of weakness to achieve the respective goals. While people working out of a co-working might be from different companies, they help each other to achieve success because there is a feeling of “belongingness”, a community bond which means success for one is success for all.
