This development brings forth enhanced convenience and efficiency for individuals and businesses engaged in international trade.” RuPay, as the first domestic card payment network in India, has achieved wide acceptance across various channels such as ATMs, point-of-sale (POS) devices, and e-commerce websites throughout the country. By promoting electronic payments, RuPay aligns with the Reserve Bank of India's goal of fostering a "less cash" economy, encouraging banks and financial institutions to embrace technology and offer digital payment solutions.RuPay credit cards can now be linked to a UPI ID, thus directly enabling safe, and secure payment transactions. According to a report by merchant platform Pine Labs, it is projected that transaction volumes on the RuPay network will experience a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 20% over the next three years. By the fiscal year 2025-26 (April-March), transaction volumes are anticipated to reach 3.2 billion, a significant increase from the 1.8 billion transactions recorded in 2022-23. RBI’s goalposts for Payment Vision 2025 has already outlined a roadmap for the global outreach of RTGS, NEFT, UPI, and RuPay cards. How to withdraw cash from ATM without debit card

The lower limit will be applicable from 31 October. The withdrawal limit has been imposed on Classic &amp; Maestro debit cards. However, the account holders with higher card variants can continue to benefit from the regular daily withdrawals. The average cash withdrawals from ATMs per card have been examined to be less than ₹20,000 a day and the lower limit will help in checking frauds and promote digital transactions. SBI alerted its account holders, the ones with the Classic and Maestro debit cards, regarding the reduction in the limits about a month ago. The users with Gold and Platinum cards will continue to enjoy higher withdrawal limits of ₹50,000 and ₹1 lakh a day, respectively. The bank has asked its customers to upgrade to the higher variants to enjoy higher ATM withdrawals. The 461,976 payment records include exposed card numbers, expiration dates, and CVV codes. Others have additional information like cardholders’ full names, emails, phone numbers and addresses. If you report the loss within two business days, your losses are limited to $50. If you report the loss between two and 60 days after the fraud takes place, your liability is limited to $500.Even if your losses are covered by the bank, it can take months to get your funds restored. In even the worst cases of credit card fraud, you are likely better protected than in any scenario involving debit. If your card number is stolen but not your physical card, you have zero liability by law.But most banks and credit card issuers take fraud protection a step further. They guarantee you will be liable for $0 in the event of credit card fraud. You can't beat $0 liability. For the most part, all major credit card issuers have a no liability policy in place. <keyword id="62034" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Punjab-National-Bank">Punjab National Bank</keyword> (<keyword id="47268" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="PNB">PNB</keyword>) Maestro debit cards holders will face a card blockage if they fail to replace it with a more secure <keyword id="726464" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="EMV">EMV</keyword> chip based card by the end of this month, according to PTI news report. The bank will not charge anything for the replacement and it will be provided free of cost. "If you are having Maestro debit card, git replaced free of cost with a new EMV chip based debit card from any PNB branch. All Maestro cards issued by PNB will be blocked or hotlisted on July 31, 2017 for security based reasons," the bank said in a communication to its customers. The replacement is as per RBI advisory issued in 2015, asking all the banks to migrate to a much secured EMV chip based cards, an official of the bank said. The bank has identified that there are about one lakh customers with old Maestro debit cards and has started sending them SMSes as well, an official of the bank said. Presently, PNB's card base stands at around 5.65 crore. "However, we have excluded those customers who are not using these Maestro debit cards at all with not even a single transaction in a year as making of cards involves cost as well as time," the official said. As per RBI advisory, existing magnetic stripe only cards need to be replaced with EMV chip and pin based cards by December 31, 2018, irrespective of the validity period of the cards. And from January 31, 2016 onwards, banks are directed to issue only EMV based debit and credit cards. Card replacement is important, keeping in mind digital drive of the government that has led to a drastic rise in debit card usage. "Now, people are taking interest in using debit cards. Young generation definitely use it, but people over 40 years of age are also using it and taking help from children to learn card usage," the official said.1

New Delhi, Apr 16 () Paytm Payments Bank will now issue Mastercard debit cards to its account holders to enable them perform online transactions, make payment in stores as well as withdraw cash from ATMs. "Paytm Payments Bank Ltd (PPBL) has partnered with Mastercard for the issuance of virtual and physical debit cards. To start with, PPBL will issue Mastercard virtual debit cards to its new customers, enabling them to perform secure online transactions that make everyday purchases faster, easier and safer," PPBL said in a statement on Thursday. PPBL has announced that it aims to issue over 10 million digital debit cards in FY 2020-21. "Soon customers will also have an option to request a physical card, enabling them to do contactless in-store transactions supported by Mastercard's chip-based technology. Additionally, they will be able to withdraw cash at more than 1 million ATM terminals across most of the world," the statement said. PPBL claims to have 5.7 crore bank account holders and 30 crore digital wallets. "We aim to provide maximum flexibility to our customers to choose their preferred mode of digital payments, and our partnership with Mastercard is in the same direction," PPBL CEO &amp; Managing Director Satish Kumar Gupta said. Mastercard South Asia division President Porush Singh said that while digital payments are taking off in India, growing faster than many other countries around the world, 90 per cent of all retail transactions are still in cash. "Mastercard is committed to the government's vision to fuel the growth of digital payments. Towards this goal, Mastercard is pleased to offer its fully-integrated global payment platform to Paytm Payments Bank to enable cardholders to have access to the safest way of making electronic payments," Singh said.
