Though not very uncommon, an interesting phenomenon called "planetary alignment" will enthral the sky gazers tonight with five planets forming an arc. While the eastern and northeast India will enjoy a better view, those in the north, west and south may find it difficult to spot all the five planets. Birla Planetarium in Kolkata, told IANS, "Our understanding of the solar system tells us that the planets revolve around the <keyword id="24879" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="sun" source="Orion">Sun</keyword> almost in the same plane. For this reason, sometimes they take the form of an arc or even a straight line in the sky. This is going to happen on Tuesday." Though the planets will be visible in the form of an arc to naked eyes, binoculars and small telescopes can provide a better view. After the Sun sets, Jupiter and Mercury would set within a short interval in the evening sky. "Since the Sun sets early in the east and northeast sky in India, people from these locations can get a clear view of Jupiter and Mercury. But due to the Sun's high glare, sky watchers from other parts of the country may find it difficult to spot these two planets on the western horizon, however, a keen observation might help," Dr Duari said. The sunset in Kolkata will occur today at 5.50 p.m, while in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, the sun will disappear from the sky at 6.36 p.m, 6.51 p.m, and 6.31 p.m, respectively. In the evening sky, there will be a very bright object - Venus. With the help of small telescopes, towards the northern direction from Venus, the planet Uranus can also be spotted. Both Venus and Uranus will be up in the sky for quite a long time. "Venus will set at least two hours after the sunset," Duari informed. Mars will be there in the night sky till midnight. Just beside Mars, one can also see the Moon tonight. According to Duari, the last time this event happened was on June 24, 2022. On September 8, 2024, the "planetary alignment" will again occur. He said, "The 'planetary alignment' is not a rare phenomenon. But it is a lovable event and reminds us about our existence in the cosmos." It is a touchscreen display that offers a dynamic refresh rate of 60Hz and 120Hz. <div type="image" title="Display" msid="112267629" hostid="261" sizebytes="36348" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Samsung Galaxy Book4 Pro display&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> The Galaxy Book4 Pro comes with an anti-reflective coating on the panel. The laptop offers thin bezels with rounded corners. Samsung has always used excellent displays with its devices and this laptop is no different. The display offers a peak brightness of 500 nits, allowing you to easily use it outdoors without worrying about visibility. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass DX, offering you a good amount of protection. Like other panels from the company, the Galaxy Book4 Pro’s display offers excellent colour reproduction, good contrast and good visibility. Overall, the display is good for all users, from those enjoying content on the device to those creating content. <h2>Performance</h2>The laptop from Samsung is equipped with the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H processor, which offers six performance cores, eight efficiency cores, and two low-power efficiency cores. The Intel Core Ultra is a new Meteor Lake chipset from the company and comes with Intel Arc graphics. The laptop is equipped with up to 32GB LPPDR5X RAM and 1TB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD. The new chipset from Intel is equipped with a dedicated neural processor unit that is aimed at easily performing AI tasks, which have become quite important these days. The low-power performance cores are aimed at improving the battery life. Samsung has added a lot of features that allow you to link it with your smartphone. You get features such as the ability to use it as a second display with the screen mirroring feature or the drag-and-drop feature. While this is good to have, do note that it only works if you have a Samsung smartphone or a Samsung tablet. As the device is packed with powerful hardware, I had no issues with performance. The laptop easily handles everything that you throw at it without any issues and multi-tasking is a breeze. As the laptop is not equipped with a dedicated graphics card, gaming is not one of its strengths. However, the Intel Arc graphics were able to handle a lot of games that are less graphic intensive with ease, allowing you to play games on the device. Coming to battery life, the Galaxy Book4 Pro is equipped with a 63Wh battery and supports 65W charging. As it is a lightweight laptop, the company has kept the battery size on the lower side. The power-efficient chipset ensures that you can get around 8 hours of battery life in regular usage, which should be enough for most users. <h2>Verdict</h2>The Samsung Galaxy Book4 Pro ticks a lot of the boxes, including a sleek and lightweight design, powerful hardware, excellent display and good battery life. It is a good option for those looking for a powerful laptop that is easy to carry around and are willing to pay a premium to get this combination. In the qualification round of the mixed team 10 m air pistol event, each member of a team got to shoot a total of 30 shots in a time span of 30 minutes. Each series of shots consists of 10 shots per player and 20 in total. The top four teams got the privilege of qualifying for medal rounds, with the top two teams playing for gold and third and fourth-placed teams locking horns for bronze. The team of Rhythm and Cheema got the fifth position at the end of their first series of shots, with 194 points. Both players secured 97 points each. The other team, Manu-Sarabjot, sat at six with 193 points, with Manu getting 98 points and Sarabjot getting 95. In their second series, Manu and Sarabjot secured a total of 195 points, with Manu getting 98 and Sarabjot getting 97. On the other hand, Rhythm and Cheema scored 192 points in their second series, with Rhythm getting 99 and Cheema getting 93. In their third series, Manu-Sarabjot secured 192 points, with Manu getting 95 points and Sarabjot getting 97 points. On the other hand, Rhythm and Cheema got 190 points, with 92 points going to Rhythm and 98 to Cheema. At the end of all three series, Manu-Sarabjot had the final score of 580-20x and Rhythm-Cheema had a combined score of 576-14x, but they finished in the 10th spot. Notably, Bhaker finished third to secure a bronze medal in the final of the women's 10-m air pistol event on Sunday. She became the first Indian woman to win a medal in shooting at the Olympics. Bhaker brought India's first medal in the ongoing mega event as she won a bronze medal with a score of 221.7. <ul><li>Business Insider India spoke to <keyword id="28115" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="intel" source="Orion">Intel</keyword>’s Marcus Kennedy about the company’s entry into the discrete graphics space. </li><li>Intel believes its scale and expertise will allow it to take on the existing leaders in the space. </li><li>We talked about consoles, the future of games, chip shortage and a lot more in the interview.</li></ul>Microsoft and Intel are two names synonymous with personal computers (PCs) for all the 90s kids and adults. Even for enthusiast gamers, the only choice was Intel Pentium processors in the 90s, to Core 2 Duos in the mid-2000s, and now we have the 11th Gen Intel processors. The difference now is that Intel is not the only option to game on PCs. To make 'PC the best place to play', Intel has ventured into the discrete graphics space. It has been hyping the Xe Graphics for about two years but the hopes are tied to the <keyword id="12304831" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Intel-Arc-Alchemist" source="Orion">Intel Arc Alchemist</keyword> GPU (graphics processing unit), which is said to cater to professional gamers. It's technically the first proper discrete GPU after the Intel Xe DG1 that came earlier this year. And why now? Kennedy told us that Intel has been making integrated graphics for a long time and gave a few examples including the Iris Xe released with the Tiger Lake CPUs (central processing units). He said, "we are entering at a time when there are certainly incumbents and from our perspective, given our technology and scale, we think that the current market dynamics are pretty ripe for disruption. And, you know, competition is always good." While Intel's big announcement about its Arc Alchemist is still awaited, comparisons are being drawn with AMD and NVIDIA on multiple fronts. While Kennedy did not take names, he claims that Intel has the prowess to catch up with the leaders in discrete graphics space. "The breadth of the architecture spans from mobility to high performance compute (HPC) to what we’re doing in gaming with the HPG (high performance gaming) architecture," he said. We asked Kennedy about the gaps that Intel is looking to fill that exist there in the gaming ecosystem. He responded with a similar logic attributing to Intel's age-old existence and its work in making PCs what they are today. Calling Intel one of the "stewards of the PC", he said the company's focus is to continue to advance the PC and to elevate gaming on that PC for the community. "So whether it's driving technology innovation in collaboration with our partners, or creating innovation behind our walls, and leveraging our partners and ecosystem to go drive it; to us, being at the centre of the PC and in the forefront of the innovation of this platform is the key," he said. Intel's approach towards gaming is represented as giving an all-around push to the ecosystem to make it more gamer-friendly. This means in addition to focusing on essentials like overclocking, and high refresh rates, other areas like multitasking will be kept in mind too because as Marcus put it "gamers don't just game right". Following up on Intel's stance on filling the gap in the ecosystem, we asked about the competitive advantages of their products over others. The way Kennedy answered this made it clear that the company will be making the most out with an option to use Intel in both sockets. That's because having their own CPU and GPU in both sockets will allow the company to take their relationship with game developers to do deeper optimisations. Kennedy said that working closely with game developers allows them to ensure that engines work at their best. In his words, Intel's discrete GPU will allow them "to expose the best experiences that those developers want their gamers to experience on top of both the CPU and the GPU hardware. So we're able to optimise across both of those sockets in a way that we hadn't before." As mentioned, working with game developers is essential to create a well-optimised gaming experience. With those advantages with Intel, what should we expect to change in terms of the gaming experience as gamers? What does the future look like? Kennedy started by clarifying that the future of gaming is going to be more than just what's in a single CPU or GPU, it's going to be about the whole experience that the system brings, changing the way we play games on PC. He also mentioned cloud gaming, which came into existence almost a decade ago and gained popularity in recent years. He said it's catching up partly because of better internet, computing hardware and wireless technology. Also, partly due to larger companies taking more notice of it and putting more investment in it. However, he believes "cloud gaming will never be as good as actual gaming on a client". Adding to that, he says "it's going to get to a place where more gamers will start taking advantage of it and it'll be good enough and we'll be able to bring experiences to gamers that may not have been able to enter the market in the past." Lastly, he threw light on competitive gaming or eSports. He said, "the trend of more people watching games and getting excited about playing the games that they see on the screen will just feed a virtuous cycle of growth for this segment specifically and gaming will become more mainstream and it'll be just another sport over time." Given the current circumstances like supply shortage and higher GPU prices right now, consoles look like a favourable option for gamers. It might not be a PC replacement but for casual gamers console is still a good option to resort to. What is your take on console gaming and is there any chance that we can see Intel chips on consoles in near future? The first thing Kennedy pointed out was that the first Xbox console ran an Intel chip. With that fact on the side, he said Intel wants to "bring the technology everywhere to try to delight as many gamers as we can". So that might be a hint that we may see Intel chips on consoles going forward. While drawing a comparison Kennedy summed up to say that "consoles are a good place to play, PCs are the best place to play." He says so because of factors like the limitation of first-party titles on consoles, the cap on frame rates as the best consoles can only do 120fps (frames per second) with most titles capped at 60fps. "So the availability of titles and variety of games that are available and the level of audio-visual fidelity, refresh rates, all of those on the PC is definitely a step up," said Kennedy. The pandemic led many industries to go through a drastic change. How did it change the PC industry in terms of casual users and gamers? The PC market saw a jump in demand all around the globe during the pandemic. Kennedy said while folks were forced to stay indoors to keep themselves safe, they spent more time at home and spent less money, which eventually led them to spend time on their PCs and had more money to upgrade them as per the need. So, whether it was for education, gaming, or for media for streaming there was a relatively large spike in unit volume. With all members of the family working, studying or gaming at home, the density of PC usage per household also rose globally. Even in India, Kennedy said the rise in the number of people switching from phone to PC and consoles for gaming increased. In terms of eSports, he said, "more people started watching eSports, as we saw peak concurrent views of all of our eSports events. And it wasn't just our events, it was across the board. Acknowledging the shortage in semiconductor components, Kennedy said the situation has increased the demand for Intel products and they have been expanding their manufacturing capacity to grow CPU supply by double digits over the year versus 2020. This added with the fact that Intel’s Chief Executive Officer Pat Gelsinger announced earlier the company’s IDM 2.0 strategy, where the company would leverage the right foundry, whether external or its own, for manufacturing the right product, should ease some of the burdens on the industry as a whole, whether its for processors, GPUs or even car components. INTERVIEW: Intel wants to make PCs the best platform to game — Here's the plan

This is the sixth round of debt financing in 2021, the company said. Steel demand in India is expected to decline 14-17 per cent this fiscal, as the construction activities likely to get further impacted due to the second phase of lockdown, rating agency <keyword id="9063609" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="crisil-said-according">Crisil said.According</keyword> to the agency, the lockdown wfill not just affect construction activities, but also automobile production, which will thereby impact steel demand. Given the uncertainty in the current environment, <keyword id="6359483" type="DOMAIN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Crisil">Crisil</keyword> expects the steel demand to contract by 14-17 per cent for the fiscal considering that the nationwide lockdown is likely to continue through Q1 with some after effects in Q2. "The demand is expected to contract by 14-17 per cent assuming that the construction and production activities will begin at the end of the first quarter," the agency said. However, maintaining a pessimistic approach, assuming that partial lockdown continues through Q2 and construction activities and automobile production begin from Q2 FY21, demand contraction will increase to 22-25 per cent. "On a quarterly basis, steel demand would be a washout in the first quarter of this fiscal, given the pan-India lockdown that would hurt construction. All automobile plants have also been shut, which will further weaken demand prospects," the agency said. Also, since there is also no respite from the capital goods industry in the current scenario, demand will pick up only from the second half of this fiscal, it noted. Crisil further stated that a full-fledged recovery will take longer because of weak demand from infrastructure on account of lower capex by government, as funds are diversion towards health and public welfare. "Building and construction would contract this fiscal on account of weak demand from real estate and private individual home builders. Also, supply constraints for the automobile sector as well as muted demand with estimated gradual recovery only in the second half would lead to sluggish wholesale offtake," the agency said. However, it may be noted that on April 15 the government issued guidelines allowing construction activities in non-COVID-19 hotspots and has identified 170 districts as hotspots, while 207 districts as non-hotspots. Crisil further maintained that weakening capacity utilisation amid the virus outbreak would also weigh on industry capex, thereby dampening demand from the capital goods segment. "While demand would contract in the second quarter as well, pent-up demand release, especially in construction and infrastructure, would aid growth in the second half. No capacity additions are expected during the year since steel players have postponed capex plans," Crisil said. According to the agency, contracting demand growth will push the sector's utilisation level down further to 67-70 per cent (to be lower for electric arc furnace/induction furnace players), adding to the pain from the weakening to 76 per cent seen in fiscal 2020. Prior to the outbreak, 10 million tonne of steel capacity was expected to come on board in the second half of this fiscal. On steel prices, Crisil noted that global prices will continue to weaken amid slack demand. "While <keyword id="1334" type="LOCATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="China">China</keyword>'s activity picked up in March from its Covid-induced slump in February, steel demand in the first quarter of calendar year 2020 is estimated to have declined 30-40 per cent on-year. This has led to high inventory levels of 100 million tonne. While activities have begun to resume in China, we believe the demand would remain muted in the first half. "Property sales are also expected to drop significantly in 2020, thus crimping steel demand in China by 10-15 per cent for the year," it said. Moreover, the export market for China steel is almost non-existent as other economies grapple with Covid, leading to a four per cent year-on-year fall in prices to USD 486 per tonne for the first quarter of the year. "China steel prices are expected to correct further owing to weak demand, with the resultant fall in prices taking steel to USD 440-470 per tonne for 2020. This comes on 13 per cent decline in steel prices in China in 2019," it added. Crisil also expects EBITDA margin for the sector to contract by 100-150 basis points this fiscal. "Lower coking coal prices should limit margin erosion since prices would likely ease to USD 140-150 per tonne in 2020 from USD 177 per tonne in 2019. We expect iron ore prices to remain range-bound with an upward bias since tepid demand will offset the price rise owing to high bid premiums in Odisha auctions," it said.
