"Growth has not been a challenge but sustainably growing is a challenge. Every time we start a kitchen, children come with a hope that they will get a good meal every day. Ensuring food safety especially at the school level which is the last mile and on a daily basis is a challenge. The road ahead is to implement innovative ideas in operations, fundraising and sourcing. We also would like to freely share our learnings with any organigation or an individual who wants to work on alleviating hunger amongst children," said APF CEO Shridhar Venkat.<br />

The body contained nothing except for a line of text reading "This template is used by integration tests only."</p><p>Subscribers took to Twitter to share jokes about "Integration Test Email #1" being the name of a new HBO Max show.</p><p>The <keyword id="572624" type="PERSON" weightage="60" keywordseo="Streaming">streaming</keyword> service then confirmed through its <a href="https://twitter.com/HBOMaxHelp/status/1405712235108917249">HBO Max Help Twitter account</a> that the message was sent in error. The tweet also included an amusing detail - HBO Max claimed the email was accidentally sent by an intern. </p><p>"We mistakenly sent out an empty test email to a portion of our HBO Max mailing list this evening," the HBO Max Help account tweeted Thursday night. "We apologize for the inconvenience, and as the jokes pile in, yes, it was the intern. No, really. And we're helping them through it. ❤️"</p><p>The admission prompted some Twitter users to share their own embarrassing internship gaffes, and reassure the HBO Max intern in question that everyone makes mistakes.</p><p>HBO Max did not immediately respond to Insider's request for comment.</p>

HBO Max confirms 'yes, it was the intern' after a mysterious test email was mistakenly sent to subscribers

<ul class="summary-list"><li><keyword id="6354427" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="60" keywordseo="apple">Apple</keyword> just released <keyword id="8663299" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="iOS-14">iOS 14</keyword>, the newest software update for iPhones.</li><li>For the first time, <keyword id="6354606" type="COMPANY" weightage="60" keywordseo="iPhone">iPhone</keyword> owners can set the default browser and email to services not run by Apple.</li><li>Those settings disappear when the iPhone restarts, and <keyword id="62620" type="ENTERTAINMENT" weightage="60" keywordseo="Safari">Safari</keyword> once again becomes the default. </li></ul><p>Apple just released <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/apple-ios-14-features-tips-tricks-one-week-update-2020-7">iOS 14</a>, with some major updates like home screen widgets and Siri, along with dozens of more minor adjustments. One of these new features is the ability to switch default browser and email from Apple's default Safari and mail app. Announced at <a href="https://www.theverge.com/2020/6/22/21299342/apple-ipados14-default-apps-email-browser-choice-features-wwdc-2020">WWDC in June</a>, some iPhone users have been waiting on this feature for years.</p><p>Though changing the default is easy enough, the settings revert back when an iPhone is restarted. Users began pointing out the bug on Twitter.</p><p>Several reporters at Business Insider tested the setting, with <keyword id="182214" type="COMPANY" weightage="60" keywordseo="Google-Chrome">Google Chrome</keyword> and <keyword id="30002" type="COMPANY" weightage="60" keywordseo="Firefox">Firefox</keyword> set as default browsers. In each case, after restarting the iPhone, any links clicked began opening Safari. Apple did not immediately respond to request for comment.</p><p>Google engineering manager Adrienne Porter Felt confirmed that workers at Google were aware of the bug.</p><p>To change the default browser, open Settings and scroll to the browser of choice. Then, there will be an option to choose which browser the iPhone defaults to.</p><div type="image" title="iOS 14 Web Browser" height="650" width="866" msid="78177805" hostid="261"></div><p>Apple's iOS 14 rollout hasn't gone totally smoothly so far. <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/nintendo-app-developers-warn-against-ios-14-update-2020-9">Nintendo and other app developers</a> warned people not to download the update yet, warning that it could lead to glitches. Developers only had 24 hours notice on the rollout of iOS 14, and many were left scrambling to make sure their apps would function the next day. Shutting off your iPhone could mean losing default settings in iOS 14

<p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table float_right"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div>Be honest. When you learn that a new version of iOS is available do you completely back up all of your data and files to Apple's cloud before installing it?</p><p>With the next version of iOS, it will be imperative that you do. That's because with this version, Apple is introducing a new file system, called Apple File System (APFS) that completely replaces the ancient 30-year file system that iOS currently uses, known as HFS+.</p><p>Your iOS will automatically convert to the new file format and it is not compatible with the old format. If some glitch happens during the install, some of your files stored on the device could be toast.</p><p>The current version of iOS is 10.2.1. The next big update is 10.3 and despite that its called iOS 10.3 instead of iOS 11, it is considered a major update. Developers have been playing with the beta version since the last week in February and the general speculation is that it could be available sometime in March.</p><p>For the most part, developers love the new file system. It will allow them to do all kinds of new things for their apps that HFS+ didn't do like include strong encryption, better manage large chunks of data, improve time stamps, save space and help protect files from crashes. All good things.</p><p>But there is a downside that has some developers concerned, one developer told Business Insider.</p><p>iOS 10.3 will "automatically convert all the data on a device to APFS," this developer told Business Insider. "The format the data is stored in will be changed. The data itself should still be there, but with the format changed."</p><p>So, if something goes wrong with converting each file stored on the device to this new format, even if you have a backup, you can't just transfer the file over from an previous version. The new iOS won't be able to read it. So if an app tanks, or all your data on is missing, the app developer may not be able to help you.</p><p>APFS will eventually be available on all Apple devices, and Apple will offer an easy painless, non-technical method to upgrade and convert. But there is no method for converting anything back from APFS to HFS+, <a href="https://developer.apple.com/library/content/documentation/FileManagement/Conceptual/APFS_Guide/FAQ/FAQ.html">Apple says</a>. So if you upgrade to APFS and something goes wrong and you want the old version of iOS back, you'll have to reformat your drive to get the old file system back, which will delete all of your files on your device.</p><p>That's not a huge problem if you have a full backup. It's not great if your phone gets bricked somehow and you didn't back up.</p><p>We understand that Apple will be warning people to backup their devices before installing 10.3, though we also understand that this warning won't be extra special scary. It could look like the ordinary warning that many of us, having upgraded iOS and apps many times before, tend to ignore.</p><p>To its credit, Apple is fanatically concerned about making mistakes that cause people to lose any data. One Apple engineer once told us, the feeling there is, "What if we lost one photo and it was the only photo of grandma that you had?"</p><p>So, if problems occur with this update, it won't likely be a widespread thing.</p><p>That said, when the company does bork things up, it isn't good about fessing up. We saw that with the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/ios-1021-fixes-apple-iphone-shutdown-bug-2017-2">mysterious 30% bug</a> that shut-off people's phones when the battery hit 30%. It appeared with a software update, yet, Apple told people it was a faulty battery problem, and then it also vanished with the 10.2.1 update.</p><p>So make a mental note right now. Stone was convicted on all charges against him and acquitted on none.</p><p>After Mueller formally wrapped up his investigation in April of 2019, the US Attorney's office for the District of Columbia took over and continued to prosecute the case.&#xa0;</p><p>Stone, a longtime Trump ally who was also an early informal campaign adviser, pleaded not guilty to all seven counts against him. He also emphasized that he would not testify against Trump, but left the door open to cooperating with prosecutors against others on the campaign who could have been ensnared in the Russia probe.</p><p>The charging document against Stone contained a slew of intricate details about Stone's alleged false statements to Congress about his interactions involving WikiLeaks; his extensive communications with the far-right commentator Jerome Corsi and radio host Randy Credico about WikiLeaks' document dumps in summer 2016; and his prolonged efforts to prevent Credico from testifying to Congress or turning over information to the FBI.</p><p>&#xa0;</p><p>Mueller scrutinized the many late-night phone calls between Trump and Stone that took place during the 2016 campaign season. The calls drew prosecutors' attention as they investigated whether Stone or anyone else served as a conduit between Trump and WikiLeaks during the election.</p><p>Stone has said he never spoke with Trump about WikiLeaks or its founder, Julian Assange. Stone's links to WikiLeaks and its founder, Julian Assange, are well-known.</p><p>He exchanged Twitter direct messages with the Russian hacker Guccifer 2.0, who helped WikiLeaks disseminate the stolen Democratic emails. Stone is also known to have exchanged direct messages with WikiLeaks' main account on Twitter in October 2016. And he was corresponding throughout the summer with Corsi and Credico about obtaining the hacked emails from WikiLeaks that had not yet been published online.</p><p>In one email, dated August 2, Corsi told Stone he was in Europe and planned to return in or around mid-August. He wrote, "Word is friend in embassy," a reference to Assange, "plans 2 more dumps. One shortly after I'm back. 2nd in Oct. Impact planned to be very damaging."</p><p>Corsi added in the same email, "Time to let more than [the Clinton Campaign chairman] to be exposed as in bed w 5 enemy if they are not ready to drop HRC.</p><p>That appears to be the game hackers are now about. Would not hurt to start suggesting HRC old, memory bad, has stroke - neither he nor she well. I expect that much of next dump focus, setting stage for Foundation debacle."</p><p>Stone spoke with Trump over the phone later that same day. It's unclear what their conversation was about.&#xa0;</p><p>Stone first came on to the political scene in the 1980s, when he founded a Republican political consulting firm and became a well-known lobbyist.</p><p>He first began working with Trump in the 1980s, and initially pushed Trump to run for president in 1988. GOP strategist Roger Stone convicted on 7 counts of obstruction, witness tampering, and false statements

The president has long regarded the health of the markets as a barometer for the strength of his presidency.</p><p>Trump's public statements have sought to project an optimistic picture downplaying the threat of the virus, which have come at odds with the somber warnings of other health officials.</p><p>"It goes away," Trump told reporters Wednesday. "It's going away. We want it to go away with very, very few deaths."</p><p>At a White House briefing <a href="https://edition.cnn.com/2020/03/02/politics/donald-trump-coronavirus-vaccine-push-back/index.html">last week he was corrected</a> by Dr Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, after falsely claiming that a vaccine for the virus would soon be available. </p><p class="source"><span>AP</span></p><p class="caption">Dr. Anthony Fauci and Trump speaks at a briefing at the National Institutes of Health on March 3, 2020.</p><p>There has been widespread confusion about the availability of coronavirus test kits in the country, and the Trump administration has faced mounting criticism over allegations it failed to ensure that adequate testing facilities were in place.</p><p>Last week Trump claimed that anyone who wants a test can get one, but there have been <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/12/us/coronavirus-testing-challenges.html">reports from across the country</a> of the difficulty to procure a kit.</p><p>On Tuesday, Fauci told Congress that US testing facilities were inadequate.</p><p>"The system is not really geared to what we need right now ... let's admit it," Dr Fauci said. </p><p>In an early <a href="https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/1238410044263333894">Friday morning tweet</a> Trump sought to shift blame for the lack of tests available to failings at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and during former President Barack Obama's administration. </p><p>"For decades the @CDCgov looked at, and studied, its testing system, but did nothing about it. It would always be inadequate and slow for a large scale pandemic, but a pandemic would never happen, they hoped," tweeted Trump. "President Obama made changes that only complicated things further."</p><p>"Their response to H1N1 Swine Flu was a full scale disaster, with thousands dying, and nothing meaningful done to fix the testing problem, until now. The changes have been made and testing will soon happen on a very large scale basis. Trump didn't push for more coronavirus testing because he was concerned high infection numbers might dent his reelection chances, report says

<p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div><ul class="summary-list"><li>A security expert has discovered that Google had quietly made important changes to Chrome's login requirements.</li><li>Matthew Green spotted that Google was logging them into Chrome without their knowledge.</li><li>Google's changes also made it easier for users to unwittingly turn over their browsing history to Google.</li><li>The company acknowledged the changes late on Sunday, but stressed that users needed to consent to a sync before their browser data was transferred.</li></ul><p>For years, Google has given Chrome users the option of surfing the web without logging in.</p><p>But on Sunday, <a href="https://blog.cryptographyengineering.com/2018/09/23/why-im-leaving-chrome/">a </a><a href="https://blog.cryptographyengineering.com/2018/09/23/why-im-leaving-chrome/">security expert</a><a href="https://blog.cryptographyengineering.com/2018/09/23/why-im-leaving-chrome/"> wrote</a><a href="https://blog.cryptographyengineering.com/2018/09/23/why-im-leaving-chrome/"> that Google had quietly changed the requirements so when users login into a Google service, such as Gmail, Chrome will automatically sign the browser into their account without consent.</a></p><p>Google tucked the new login requirements into the <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/google-chrome-url-replacement-2018-9">latest Chrome update </a>without notifying users, Matthew Green, a cryptography expert and professor at Johns Hopkins University, <a href="https://blog.cryptographyengineering.com/2018/09/23/why-im-leaving-chrome/">said in a blog post</a> on Sunday.</p><p>The blog post, titled "Why I'm done with Chrome," began generating debate on Sunday evening and also appeared to send Chrome's managers into damage control.</p><p>By being logged in, Chrome users could unwittingly send their browser data to Google, according to Green. He disclosed that he had contacted Chrome managers and they had told him that just being logged into Chrome didn't mean a user's browsing information would be sent to Google. Users would still need to activate the "sync feature" before a data transfer occurred.</p><p>And this is where Green, who also said he had quit using Chrome, reserved some of his harshest criticism for Google. He called the Chrome consent page a "dark pattern," a common term that refers to a user interface designed to deceive or mislead people.</p><p>"Now that I'm forced to log into Chrome," Green wrote, "I'm faced with a brand new (sync consent) menu I've never seen before."</p><p>He suggested that this could lead users to mistakenly consent. He added that prior to the recent login change, a user had to key in their credentials to log in and then consent to the sync. Now, users are a single, possibly accidental, click away from turning over their browsing history to Google.</p><p>Google referred Business Insider to a series of late-night Twitter posts from Adrienne Porter Felt, an engineer and manager at Chrome.</p><p>In one tweet, she confirmed that Google has changed the login procedures. Google quietly started logging people into Chrome without their consent, and a security expert says it's terrible for privacy

<p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div><p>Go ahead and add another title to Serena Williams' collection: Mom.</p><p>The tennis star announced via social media on Wednesday that she gave birth to a girl named Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr.</p><p>Williams posted about her baby on<span>&#xa0;</span><a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/BY-7H9zhQD7/">Instagram</a><span>&#xa0;</span>and<span>&#xa0;</span><a href="https://twitter.com/serenawilliams/status/907961903242248193">Twitter</a><span>&#xa0;</span>accounts and is heard saying in a video, "We had a lot of complications, but look what we've got."</p><p>The 35-year-old Williams said in late December that she was engaged to Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian.</p><p>Ohanian shared a video that shows Williams at various stages of her pregnancy and after the birth of their daughter.</p><p>Williams wrote Wednesday that their daughter was born on Sept. 1 and weighed 6 pounds, 14 ounces. One posting also says about the newborn, "Grand Slam Titles: 1."</p><p>Williams won her 23rd Grand Slam singles championship at the Australian Open in January - while she was pregnant.</p><p>She has not competed anywhere since but has said she intends to return to competition by next year's Australian Open, which starts on Jan. 15, 4½ months after her baby was born.</p><p>"If she's ready, she'll play. If she's not, she won't play. I'm not a doctor. I can't decide when she's going to be ready to practice. If we can have enough practice so she can be ready, she'll play," Patrick Mouratoglou, Williams' coach, said last weekend at the U.S. Open.</p><p>"I don't want her to go compete if she's not ready," Mouratoglou said. "I told her: 'You come if you're ready.' And I will do everything for her to be ready for Australia. But if she is not ready, of course she won't compete."</p><p>There is recent precedent for tennis players to return to action after giving birth.</p><p>Kim Clijsters, inducted this year into the International Tennis Hall of Fame, retired to start a family after having won one U.S. Open title, then came back to action in 2009 and won three more Grand Slam trophies. Another former No. 1 and major champion, Victoria Azarenka, returned to the tour this year after having a son, although she missed the U.S. Open because of a custody dispute involving the baby.</p><p>Williams' 23 major titles are a record for the professional era, which began in 1968; she broke a tie with Steffi Graf in Australia this year. Only one woman has won more: Margaret Smith Court, who claimed a portion of her 24 during the amateur era.</p><p>As word made the rounds during the U.S. Open that Williams had given birth, Garbine Muguruza - the reigning Wimbledon champion who is ranked No. 1 as of Monday - offered up quite a punchline.</p><p>When a reporter told her that Williams gave birth to a daughter, Muguruza responded: "Baby girl? This more than doubled the number of known Kepler exoplanets.</p><p>Now, an international team of astronomers have <a href="https://www.lpl.arizona.edu/~ianc/docs/crossfield_K2s_new_planets.pdf">discovered and confirmed more than 100 additional exoplanets.</a> Many of these planets might even be rocky and cool enough to harbor life.</p><p>The Kepler space telescope is a space observatory launched in 2009 with the mission of finding Earth-sized planets in areas that could potentially support life.  </p><p>The telescope searches for the faint dimming that occurs when a planet crosses the path of one of those stars. The goal of this is to identify possible exoplanets that are Earth-sized, or larger, in zones favorable to life.</p><p>Originally, Kepler surveyed one unchanging patch of sky in the northern hemisphere.</p><p>In 2014, after the Kepler telescope lost its ability to remain focused on this one patch, <a href="https://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/kepler/main/index.html">NASA started K2</a>, a follow-up to the 2009 Kepler mission. In K2, Kepler's field of view sweeps a band across the entire sky, pointing to a new portion every 80 days, <a href="http://time.com/3643896/kepler-planets-repair/">Time</a> reports.</p><p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table float_right"><div><div class="image on-image"><p class="source"><span><a href="http://www.space.com/19208-alien-earth-size-planet-challenge.html">NASA</a></span></p></div><p></p></div></div>According to a Keck observatory press release, <a href="http://www.keckobservatory.org/recent/entry/more_than_100_planets_confirmed_in_single_trove">K2 now looks at a larger fraction of cooler, smaller, red dwarf-type stars</a>, which are much more common in our Milky Way than Sun-like stars.</p><p>The new discoveries were made after the astronomers combined data from NASA's K2 mission with follow-up observations from Earth-based telescopes.</p><p>One planetary system they found has four potentially rocky planets. They are 20-50% larger than Earth and they orbit a star less than half the size of the Sun, with less light output. Two of them may experience radiation levels from their star comparable to those on Earth.</p><p>The orbital periods of the planets range from five-and-a-half to 24 days. But despite these close orbits, Ian Crossfield, a Sagan Fellow at the University of Arizona's Lunar and Planetary Laboratory who led the research effort, said that scientists can't rule out the possibility of life arising on planets like these.</p><p>"Because these smaller stars are so common in the Milky Way, it could be that life occurs much more frequently on planets orbiting cool, red stars rather than planets around stars like our Sun," Crossfield said in the press release.</p><p>According to the press release, this is the biggest haul of worlds uncovered by the stabilized and repurposed Kepler space telescope in its K2 mission. And the discoveries will likely continue.</p><p>"Our analysis shows that by the end of the K2 mission, we expect to double or triple the number of relatively small planets orbiting nearby, bright stars," Crossfield said. <p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table float_right"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div>A veteran cryptographer has ignited furious debate over <a href="http://www.wired.com/2016/01/david-chaum-father-of-online-anonymity-plan-to-end-the-crypto-wars/">a proposal</a> that could allegedly solve the "crypto war" over law enforcement access to encrypted data - but whose detractors think is incredibly dangerous.<p>Simply put, the crypto war is all about encryption technology and whether it should be breakable. As more and more big tech companies incorporate encryption into their products that can't be broken by anyone without the correct password or key, law enforcement officials have been up in arms, worried that vital evidence is <a href="http://www.wsj.com/articles/stopping-terrorists-from-going-dark-1450914378">"going dark."</a></p><p>But, technologists and privacy activists counter, this is better than the alternative - backdoors for law enforcement access that would <a href="http://www.wired.com/2015/12/juniper-networks-hidden-backdoors-show-the-risk-of-government-backdoors/">inevitably be discovered and abused by malicious actors</a>. And besides, how do you convince a criminal to use a backdoored system when there are plenty of others out there that don't have such vulnerabilities, and are outside of the jurisdiction of authorities angling for access?</p><p>On Wednesday, <a href="http://www.wired.com/2016/01/david-chaum-father-of-online-anonymity-plan-to-end-the-crypto-wars/">Wired's Andy Greenberg published a story</a> about a proposal by David Chaum, a well-respected and veteran of the field (so much so that Greenberg describes him as the "father of online anonymity.")</p><p>Chaum is building something called PrivaTegrity. It's an online network that anonymises the user and allows for messaging and other functions. He said: "It's a way to create a separate online reality ... One in which all the various things we now know people like to do online can be done in a lightweight manner under a completely different and new and very attractive privacy and security model."</p><p>It uses nine special servers to encrypt users' data, based in nine different countries. But - and this is where it gets controversial - if all nine work together, they can decrypt a user's data.</p><p>The logic is that this will prevent abuses like mass government surveillance (a reason many people use encryption tools), but allows for access when there is a legitimate need all can agree on - terrorism, or a paedophile ring, for example. Chaum also argues that it wouldn't have the same weakness as a traditional backdoor, because all nine would need to be compromised for an attacker to have any effect: "These systems would be far more hardened than even corporate systems, and to abuse the backdoor you'd have to break all of them."</p><p>He says this is a solution to the current crypto "logjam" being debated. "We don't have to give up on privacy. We don't have to allow terrorists and drug dealers to use it.
