Via his social media accounts, Modi’s office has invited ideas from people to help him write his speech for the occasion, by suggesting him topics that he should talk about in his speech.

In a video message, Modi appealed to Indians as that he wants that his speech to not just be his own thoughts, but of the "125 crore people of the country." 
 
"As per the tradition, I get a chance to talk to the nation on August 15. You also would have some thoughts which you would want to be put forth from the Red Fort. I invite you to send me your thoughts which you think I should say from the Red Fort, as your Pradhan Sewak. Do write to me, give me suggestions and new ideas, I will try to convey your thoughts to the countrymen," said the message. 
 
"I hope you will do something patriotic and something inspiring. Please share those pictures with us. Create an environment ahead of the day," he added.

Narendra Modi wants you to help him write his I-day speech

<keyword id="3658" type="COUNTRY" weightage="100" keywordseo="India">India</keyword> celebrated its 70th <keyword id="28240" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Independence-day">Independence Day</keyword> yesterday, and along with billions of Indians, global tech giant <keyword id="6355629" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Google">Google</keyword> was not far behind when it came to celebrate the big day. 
 
To mark the occasion, Google offered its users some interesting features which made them feel patriotic while enjoying the day in their own digital style. 
 
Along with these features, here is what the Independence Day meant for Google users in India. 
 
Google Search 
Google search allowed Indians to travel back into time so that they could take a virtual feel of India’s freedom struggle, and that too in their local languages. This could also be done by entering voice commands, or typing your questions regarding Indian independence in 11 Indian languages, including Hindi, Bangla, Punjabi, Assamese, Oriya, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada using Indic keyboard. 
 
Google Translate 
People who were out wandering must have come across signs in some local languages, which they would have wanted to be translated. Rather than looking for someone to translate it for them, they used Google Translate and scanned those printed texts so that the app could translate it for them in their own language. 
 
Google Maps 
This year, Independence Day came on a Monday, giving Indians a much-awaited long weekend, which they spent on weekend getaways. To help them breeze through unknown roads, Google Maps ensured a wonderful travel experience, along with the features of traffic alert and voice commands. People also used these maps offline, by downloading maps prior to the trip and then using them even without an internet connection.

Those enjoying the long weekend at home were able to have a virtual tour of the monuments that have a history of being associated with India’s freedom struggle, via the Google Cultural Institute, featuring more than 45,000 artworks in high resolution. 
 
Google Now 
Using Google Now, users were able to check news updates, weather forecasts and to nearby sightseeing options. 
 
YouTube 
Google users also enjoyed streaming their favorite patriotic movies, documentaries or songs on YouTube, while also making use of its offline capabilities, to avoid buffering.

Indian PM <keyword id="6354477" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Narendra-Modi">Narendra Modi</keyword> is known to be quite tech-savvy in his life, and he has never shied away from showing off his love for technology. 
 
Recently, Modi wanted to interact with his ministers, about the 70 pro-poor government initiatives that he wants to be explained in simple terms to people for the 70th Independence Day celebrations. However, since Modi didn’t want to wait for the weekly Cabinet meeting, he sent a message to the ministers to a private group of ministers that he himself administers on the Narendra Modi mobile application, to which many of his ministers promptly replied. 
 
Modi's Digital Cabinet, which is not visible to the public on the My Network section of the Na-Mo app, was started almost two months ago. The app allows the ministers to interact with the PM on several ideas and programmes. Another second private group on the app has only BJP’s MPs as its members.
