2015 being the year of the start-ups, one has too many options to opt for. But this increases competition too. To win the game, one needs to build a reputation in the market.

Tarun Matta, Founder, iimjobs, exclusive online recruitment platform for management jobs in India, tells you how to take your company to the top of the reputation chart in the market.
  1. Treat employees like the king of the company- A major part of the talent is built by word of mouth. And the true colours of a company can be revealed only by its employees. It is of utmost importance that you treat your employees well. Not just to get positive feedback but to eliminate bad mouthing. For it is the truth of life that even if you give 100 per cent pay hike, words won’t spread that fast as it would when an employee wants to vent out his frustration against it.

  1. Treat people applying for the job well- Often we forget that invisible force which is working equally strongly in contributing to the talent brand of your company, the candidates who are looking for future prospective in your company.

  1. “It is important to reach out to the candidates who they might not even hire. Even, a simple apologetic note that there is no current vacancy helps as it creates a good perspective of the working force of the company.”

  1. Good recruiter- While interviewing one should keep in mind that the candidate is judging the company through the recruiter. A good recruiter is a must for a good company.

  1. Employee retention- No one would want to work in a company where the employees often quit in a short while or where there are managerial tiffs. Working on employee retention with lucrative policies goes a long way in building a talent brand for the company.
