Here are India’s top 10 colleges ranked by the government

The Indian government released its annual list of rankings of the educational institutions in India under the national institutional ranking framework 2019, listing the top universities as well as top schools across several domains.

In its list of top colleges, Miranda House and Hindu College of Delhi University were the top performers. The rankings are based on a number of parameters including Teaching, Learning & Resources, research, placement metrics, and outreach & women participation.

1. Miranda House

Score: 73.72
Placement: Out of 1,160 students admitted in 2016-2017, 70 were placed with salary of ₹3,37,000 per annum

2. Hindu College

Placement: Out of 981 students admitted in 2016-2017, 70 were placed with salary of ₹600,000 per annum

3. Presidency College
Chennai
Score: 68.01
Placement: Out of 955 admitted in 2015-2016, 103 placed in 2017-18 with average salary of ₹1,38,000 per annum

4. St. Stephen’s College
Delhi
Score: 67.55
Placement: Out of 432 admitted in 2015-2016, 70 placed in 2017-18 with average salary of ₹6,00,000 per annum
